We specialize in caricature entertainment at all kinds of events, traditional caricatures on paper and digital caricatures, emailed or printed. We have been doing this for over 25 years on the East and West coasts and have trained and worked with the best artists in the world. We enjoy the performance aspect of caricatures because it makes people laugh with their friends, take home something memorable from the event. Many people keep their caricatures for years on the walls and now, use them as profile photos and more. It’s great entertainment at the event and more long afterwards!

Live Traditional Caricatures

I draw about 25 faces per hour. My black and white drawings are done on 11×17 paper. I provide plastic bags to protect drawings. I also offer a logo and message which can be preprinted on your paper.

Live Digital Caricature

I draw about 10 faces per hour. Drawings are done on an touchscreen device. A flat screen monitor allows the crowd to watch the drawing as it evolves and then I can email the drawing or print it on 4×6 photo paper.

History

Established in 2006.

I moved to San Diego from Washington, DC in 2006 and wanted to continue my caricature business here, so I created Caricature Artists for San Diego! I love San Diego and I love working at parties here because people are so ready to party! It’s a blast to work in San Diego and people have told me that my caricatures are a blast at parties, too!

Business Owner

Primary artist Kara Wald has done caricatures on the East coast and since 2006, the West coast. She started at the beach in Maryland and has been loving it ever since. «People always ask me if drawing caricatures is a fun job, and I always say yes! I get to go to parties where people are happy and having fun, and I get to add to that by adding to the entertainment and giving them something they can take home. It’s the best ever!» Kara also does fine painting, murals, graphic design, web design, and jewelry. An all-​around artsy gal!
