Yes, it’s religious. But they took us in and treated us with respect (atheist).
If you’re preggo and need help, we recommend CAPS :)

Thank you CAPs for such an amazing experience for my boyfriend and I. I was 10 weeks pregnant and had such a HORRIBLE experience at planned parenthood on college avenue with my ultrasound I had to pay for for $ 130. This place was much different. The staff was absolutely amazing, the counselor was amazing and the nurse was amazing. Thank you for being so good to me and treat me like I paid for your services !!!

I was 17 when i took a pregnancy test and got a positive. I wanted to know for sure if I was or not so I began doing research on centers. I didn’t want to go to planned parenthood and be told to get an abortion so I found CAPS. My boyfriend and I were very scared of judgement and such but everything about CAPS was sweet, inviting, and caring from the second we walked in. It was the best way that we could find out that I was pregnant, in a loving and understanding environment. I would recommend anybody there!

The services are free. The counselor, nurse and receptionist were extremely warm and inviting. They gave me a lot of information and discussed the different options free from judgement. They even called me and I got to come in for a second free ultrasound at 10 weeks. Thanks CAPS!

Free ultrasound, very loving and friendly staff. The location is very discreet and there is no judgement. I would recommend this as the first stop after you find out you are pregnant.

I highly recommend this clinic for anyone who needs to confirm they are pregnant. Their services are free, and they have the sweetest staff. You are made to feel welcome and supported! And the services are free!

I find out I was pregnant, haven’t had my period for quite a while so had no clue how far along I was. I called them up and they scheduled me for an ultrasound, everything free. The staff was so kind and helpful, I wish they offered prenatal care as well. I would definitely recommend this place as a starting resource.

By far the kindest staff and practitioners in San Diego! I found out I was pregnant in November, but my insurance didn’t kick in until Jan 1^st… wanting to make sure everything was ‘okay’ I made an appointment with CAPS in hopes they could confirm a heartbeat. From the moment I walked in they greeted my husband and I with care and genuine support. At six weeks the nurse walked me though what to expect, answered any questions, asked me how I was feeling up to this point, etc. She then took us to the ultrasound room and gave us the first glimpse of our baby :) {for free!} She spent a great amount of time explaining what she was looking for, and what was going on at that moment. At 12 weeks I was able to go back and have a 2^nd ultrasound for free! We saw the heartbeat both times, and wish we could do all of our prenatal care there.
This is an amazing service that helps anyone feel a little more at ease with their pregnancy! The best part: you get to take your ultrasound images home :)

This center is really great. I have been here and have gotten free pregnancy tests, maternity clothes, baby clothes and sonograms all for free. They had so much information about all kinds of other services. The ladies I talked to there were so kind and sweet, it was easy to share with them. Great place, nice people.

The ladies at CAPS were wonderful from the start. They all welcomed me with open arms. I came in for a visit to see how far along I was (as I had just found out I was pregnant two days prior). Once I saw my baby on the sonogram, I fell in love! Heidi, the ultrasound tech, was nice enough to give me a complimentary view of the ultrasound for another day, so the father of my baby can see our baby as well (as he had work the first day I went). I really appreciated the follow-​up monthly phone calls from Marty. It was great giving her the status of my pregnancy, as she was one of the first people I spoke to about the pregnancy. She has such a great personality, you feel as if you’ve known her for years. Fast forward to my 9^th month, I received another phone call from Marty letting me know that they have a gift basket for my baby boy. You can tell the gift basket was made with love, as I truly felt it when I received it. It contained all the baby essentials including onesies, socks, shirts, diapers, wipes, blankets, etc. I was so appreciative of the gesture. The ladies at CAPS are there for you! Keep up the great work!

I had my son 4 years ago and I too had the first thought ‘abortion” when I had found out I was pregnant. I was 5 months along with no knowledge or clue, I had been drinking, smoking, popping RX pills, and I knew something was wrong with my body but everytime I took a pregnancy test up to 4 months it was negative! Well when I went to CAPS they did the ultrasound immediately and confirmed the baby was healthy there was no doubt in my mind that I had found the love of my life. I was crying without even realizing it at the first look at him moving around inside of me. They definately were supportive and comforting being that I was so Emotional, they helped me get started on everything I needed to do. Even free clothes and maternity stuff! Anyways its 4 years later now and I happen to work for a company that deals with OBGYN matters & family planning so of coarse if they are in SD county & they need help, or they just found out they were pregnant & they dont know what to do… I refer them to College Area Preg Services to share the experience!

I have to start off by saying that the staff here is super sweet! I came in for a pregnancy test and I found out it was free! yes free! they also have counselors and nurses that will answer any question you may have about pregnancy or the other option. This is not at all like plan parenthood and they do not push their beliefs on to you either; they are simply there to help women who are pregnant and confused. They also help out with baby supplies and they have references to resources such as housing if your homeless. I disagree with Angela B. never once did they judge me for wanting to have an abortion.

CAPS is a Crisis Pregnancy Center with deceptive advertising. They lure young women in with hopes that they will explain all of their pregnancy options. Instead they quote scripture, show you pictures of babies and tell you that abortion is wrong. They don’t even talk about adoption!
