It’s zoo food what can I say. It wasn’t bad. Me and my wife shared carne asada fries for nine bucks. Got a kids chicken fingers for the little one. The food came out fast and staff was friendly at the window. They got us fed and looking at the wild life in a hurry.

My gf and I were looking for a quick place to have lunch while at the San Diego Zoo. Most places were directly under the hot noontime sun so we were happy to find this place which had plenty of shaded seating.
Prices were reasonable being that it was at a theme park type place although the $ 10 souvenir cup of soda was a bit pricey. It gives you free refills anywhere with a receipt for that day. The normal large soda was $ 5 and change and you get refills for 99 cents, and the cup is actually much larger than the souvenir cup. Will you get 5 more refills of a giant soda throughout the day? That seems a bit much. Go for the regular large soda unless you are sharing a souvenir cup with your family through the day.
The burger that I had and the chicken strips my gf had were tasty. Plenty of fries were poured in our baskets as well.
