I work for the American Heart Association and Ian helped us create a promo video for one of our events. He was a complete joy to work with and our video came out amazing! Ian was amazing!!! The morning of the wedding I realized we didn’t have a projector for our slide show, he rented a projector/​screen and brought it the day of… saved me! None of the other vendors offered to do that… He seemed to get along with all my other vendors as if they had worked together 1 million times. Very comfortable to be around and very funny. During the reception he was the guy in the background, seemed to be everywhere but you never even knew he was there. He brought his drone and did a bunch of outdoor shots with us (I’m so excited to see his work). He had a few fun posses for us but didn’t take up a bunch of time (cause we were running late as usual). I will definitely be recommending him to anyone and EVERYONE! Definitely one of our best choices in vendors!

Ian filmed a live music concert for me and it couldn’t have gone any better. He was on time, professional and anytime I had a question or concern he got back to me within minutes! Oh yeah and the video turned out amazing!!! Definitely use these people, amazing quality at an affordable price.

I hired Bright Glare Pictures for my wedding in September in San Diego and was extremely pleased with them. They were flexible with what I wanted and very professional. I was able to get footage at the house I was getting ready at, at the ceremony location, and then at the reception location. Our videographer caught the most important parts of our wedding and it was awesome to replay it all over again and share it with our loved ones. On the production side they were great, but they went above and beyond for me afterwards. I left for my honeymoon to Europe and wanted to show the video to my family in Austria. Ian shipped the video to our hotel room on the east coast and we were able to pack it with us and show it to my family who couldn’t make it to the wedding. Now that is service!

I was hesitant to hire a videographer for my wedding because of how much i had already spent of a photographer. After asking other brides they said they wish they would have had one because pictures are fun to look back on but it just wont capture your day the way a videographer can. I am so glad i listened! I just got my videos last night and i couldn’t have been more pleased with the way they turned out. Ian had made a 10 minute highlight of the day in one dvd and another one with just my ceremony for a third of the price that i had gotten from other videographers. He was professional and polite, and even traveled over 2 hours for my wedding at no extra charge. After a year of planning the day goes by in the blink of an eye. Trust me, from one bride to another, you want this for your wedding!!!

We paid him to video tape our event, but that is not what we got. We instead felt like we had invited another family member to my wedding. He was very friendly and helpful beyond what was expected. He was amazing at what he did and how involved he was. He made the process and day go by very smoothly. Honestly my wedding day was better with him in attendance. If you want a memorable experience, you have to hire Ian to be your videographer at your event. I want to have parties just so that he can be the videographer, he is just that awesome.

Ian is a gem. He is talented, professional, reliable, and an absolute pleasure to work with. An all around great guy and someone who will make your video experience go smoothly and professionally. I used him as my videographer for my wedding in Santa Barbara in Sept 2015. As anyone who gets married knows, one is totally dependent on their vendors performance. I was never nervous about Ian following through on his contractual obligations. He arrived early, and was ready to go. He captured great moments and worked the entire event in the most unobtrusive manner. Every interaction with him was pleasant and professional. He delivered our wedding video in time, and we were very pleased with the result. I would highly recommend him.

I found this company via Thumbtack, and decided to use them for my father’s memorial based on other’s reviews and their rate. I think I booked them about two weeks before the event. Communications with Ian was prompt and professional. Everything on the day of the memorial went smoothly. For the whole package, which included one videographer, compilation of the DVD, and two DVD copies, my price was $ 300. This was for about an hour footage at the memorial, so I am not sure how comparable it is to weddings.
In any case, I was pleasantly surprised by the finished product. Although the DVD did take some time to arrive (their office was in the midst of moving at the time), the finished product was thoughtful and nicely edited. The videographer took some footage of the displays we had out, as well as the flowers and other background settings — not just the memorial service itself. Ian also edited in the actual slideshow I had made into the DVD, which was a great touch. (The slideshow at the memorial didn’t project well due to lighting/​audio issues).
It’s certainly not fancy Hollywood style cinematography, but I am happy we didn’t just ask someone to videotape the memorial. It was totally worth the money spent. All in all, great service and quality DVDs:) I trust them and would recommend their services to keep that special memory.

To be perfectly frank videography for our wedding was an afterthought. Our own parents thought it was a waste of money. However my husband and I wanted to at least capture the ceremony (since we knew that we weren’t going to remember any of it … which we didn’t). Ian did a great job of getting all that for us and we now a really special succinct video of our ceremony :)

Ian was the videographer for our daughter’s wedding in Big Bear, California, July 11, 2015. I was able to view the video yesterday, and I was very impressed. Our daughter told us it was great! He arrived early and took a lot of video of the beautiful venue, Gold Mountain Manor, before the ceremony. The edited version was amazing, as he added music that was used in the wedding and reception. We also enjoyed the raw version. I would definitely recommend Ian, Bright Glare Pictures for you videography needs.

Bright Glare Pictures filmed our wedding ceremony — only for one hour, which was amazing to begin with because we really only wanted to film our ceremony, and it was really difficult to find someone to work for such a short time frame, so thank you for that! And then Ian and his team were so helpful — they really made sure everything was set up the best it could be. They went above and beyond what they promised us! And they captured they audio beautifully! Couldn’t be more happy with our video footage! I would suggest this company to anyone and am so happy we chose them!!!

Ian was AMAZING!!! He was easy to communicate with and answered emails within minutes, had extremely fair prices, showed up early on the big day, caught every special moment on film, and put together the most amazing professional DVD for us that looks like it was a Hollywood Movie. There was no detail overlooked, from the beautiful custom DVD case to the incredible editing done with the raw footage. This was worth every penny and more! Don’t look any further, Ian is incredible!!!

April 18, 2015 Ian was the videographer for my wedding. Ian was very upbeat, compatent in his abilities, professional, & totally helped to keep a calm atmosphere throughout the whole wedding event. He made it seem like he was part of the wedding party.

Ian is amazing! He did a video of a memorial service for my friend whose relatives from back east were not able to attend the service. He arrived early and took video of background, visitors, flowers, reception area and other things that made everything so personal and nice. He edited them into the video in ways I would not have thought of.
Ian was almost invisible (in a good way) as he recorded everything without making himself the center of attention. He is professional and such a pleasure to work with. He clearly loves his work and does an outstanding job. I recommend him with my very highest enthusiasm!!!

My husband hired a friend to record our wedding and he did it for FREE! Great deal right? NO! The guy was unprofessional! He showed up late, there’s no sound during the ceremony and it is extremely dark during the reception. I couldn’t believe it!
So I went and found Ian, the video director of Bright Glare Pictures, and he was able to bring my wedding video back to life! I wish I had hired him in the first place as I feel hiring friends for professional services can be risky since there may not be any accountability and they might be having more fun when they should be working.
