We specialize in Pool & Spa Service and we also offer pool or spa chemical service. We have a home Owner pool maintenance education program built for those looking to eventually be able to maintain their pool or spa themselves. We also specialize in filter cleans and pool cleaner repairs.

Blue Tide is owned and operated by Justin Deeds. I started cleaning pools in 2004 part time for a family friend and long time pool service business owner. In 2006, I opened up my own small pool cleaning business until 2008 when I relocated to Los Angeles and worked for a large, well established company in the Rancho Palos Verdes area servicing a route of 70+ accounts. Along with the route I also took a semester long health department certification course only offered in LA that went in-​depth into water chemistry & balance, pool equipment installation and pool construction. In 2011 I moved back down to San Diego and opened up Blue tide Pool Service & Repair.

Somehow I lucked into finding Justin with Blue Tide! I’m a do-​it-​yourself kinda person up until I exceed my knowledge base. I was having problems with my filter and needed help. Justin was very responsive and professional, explained everything to me in layperson terms. In the end I decided to hire him on full time. He’s reasonable, flexible and dependable. We have a new pool with a slide, 2 waterfalls and a grotto. Justin does an awesome job keeping our pool clean and the salt levels right on track. If I ever need any adjustments he is right on it. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would recommend Justin to anyone needed pool service.

Moving to a new state and being a first time home owner with a POOL was completely daunting. Luckily JUSTIN took all the anxiety away from us and made sure the pool was completely sanitized and clean for us to entertain guests during the July 4th weekend. He went above and beyond his normal schedule to accommodate us. If you have any sorta pool issues, contact him. I’d give him an 11⁄10.

Justin is awesome! I left a message this morning to find out more about his service and he got back to me within a couple of hours. He took time to find out what I was looking for and needed based on my equipment and was honest enough to refer me to a mentor of his who has a lot of knowledge with my particular pool issues and also works in my area. I am greatful for the referral as I’m looking for a perfect fit. Justin could have half-​assed it and taken my money and did the best he could, but instead he referred me to an expert in this particular area. He even offered to come out and meet with me and the other company which would have been a complete waste of his time. I told him I respected his time and it wasn’t necessary. He respected my time too by providing me with exactly what I needed. I highly recomment Justin at Blue Tide Pool Service & Repair!

I recently purchased a house with a pool that needed some love. I called Justin and he was able to come by the same day. He was very reasonable and was able to work me in as needed. He did an outstanding job and was never trying to upsell things. He had incredible customer service and my pool always looked awesome. I would recommend him a million times over. Especially in a business where I have dealt with plenty of shady characters. Best ever!

Justin came out and cleaned my crusty 72 Sq ft beast. The thing looked like a muddy nightmare. He was very knowledgeable, made me feel better for neglecting my filter. He described everything he was doing and gave me great advice for keeping the pool clean and healthy. I’ll definitely be using his services again.

I bought a house that has a pool and I had no idea how to operate it. I hired Justin and he was able to come out the next day. He taught me how to work they system and I also hired him again to do routine maintenance. He has been nothing but professional, he is extremely knowledgeable, and he doesn’t try to sell you anything you don’t need. I would never hire a different pool guy! He’s as good as it gets!

I had just come back from deployment and my pool was filthy so I called blue tide pool service and Justin did a great job cleaning my pool and in two weeks my pool was sparkling blue just in time for summer. Pool owner for 20 years and had just about given up thinking I could find a reliable pool guy. After coming home from vacation in early July to a green pool, with my (former) pool guys bill in my mailbox, I had just about had it. Turning to Unilocal I found Blue Tide Pool Service, not very many reviews but all really good, it was worth a try. On time and ready to work, Justin showed up and quickly explained how he could get our pool back in shape. OK, I’ve heard this before let’s see you in action. True to his word the pool was crystal clear in a little over one week. He has been servicing the pool weekly since and it has never looked better. I’m sold on Justin and Blue Tide Pool.

I have had issues with previous pool companies due to over-​charging and lack of real service.

Justin Deeds the owner of Blue Tide goes above and beyond with his service and after a couple of week I knew without any doubt I made the right decision hiring him. He is dependable, very personable, and he keeps my pool right on track and crystal clear. He also is very affordable for the service he provides and I am surprised he doesn’t have more reviews yet, but I must say having Blue Tide Pool Service is a 5 star experience and the secret of keeping my pool the year round hot spot!
