History

Established in 2012.

Bistro Sixty was created by the owners of San Diego Desserts to emphasize their commitment not only to the bakery side of their business, but the food and wine side as well.

Although they had been serving a full menu in the dining room at San Diego Desserts for several years, the time came for the bistro to have its own identity. So bistro sixty (an homage to 60th street that borders the East side of the restaurant) was born!

Meet the Business Owner

Mark L.

Business Owner

Mark is a renowned pastry chef who has worked as a personal chef for the Ford family in Vail, at the Pacifica del Mar restaurant as a pastry chef, and most recently, has owned San Diego Desserts since 2004. While still focused on pastries and desserts, Mark has an incredible talent for savory food as well — and bistro sixty is his latest venture to bring delicious, affordable bistro food to the College Area neighborhood.
