History

Established in 2013.

The idea behind Belle La Vie Day Spa started years ago. Viktoriya started practicing skin care in Russia right out of the University in 2000, immediately she knew she found her calling in life. With a daily fueled passion and commitment to her field she is always staying ahead of the curve, learning new techniques and providing a personal and customized treatment plan for all clients. While Belle La Vie Day Spa’s doors opened in 2013, the fundamental ideas, techniques and personal quality client attention is what Belle La Vie Day Spa stands for; at the same time ensuring its continued high quality service to all clients in the years to come.

Viktoriya «Vika» Velasquez has been a licensed esthetician since 2002. She has practiced in Russia and San Diego. She now brings all of her talents and expertise to her own Day Spa, Belle La Vie Day Spa. Vika is well known for her facial treatments, focusing on anti aging, acne and dull devitalized skin. She is very passionate about helping her clients with their skin concerns and educating them as well. Viktoriya is experienced in performing microdermabrasion, chemical peels, oxygen infusion, eyebrow design and body waxing. Vika regularly attends continuing education classes, seminars and spa conventions as to further her knowledge and better serve her clients. Viktoriya proudly uses Yon-​Ka Paris products because of the fabulous results their product line consistently provides. Vika’s motto is «Take good care of your skin.»

Bye far the worst facial I have ever had! DO NOT BUY GROUPON! I agree with Claudia and Terri and all the other awful reviews for the place. Waste of money! Hard to find. Had to wait outside in the parking lot for her to open the door. She told me my appointment was at 9:30. No, I actually requested 9:30 but was told it was booked so we made it for 10:30. Now she was double booked. Took me in the room 10 minutes late. Tried to up sell me to a different facial! Slapped on some cold cleanser, left the room, came back to do the micro. Rough! not the machine but her approach. After she used more cold wet cloths to wipe my face. She applied a freezing cold (felt like wet tissue) mask. She told me it would warm up fast because its been awhile… what? Again, left the room. Came back to remove the wet tissue. Recommended not washing the mask off. She topped off the facial by adding sunscreen, again so rough I thought she was slapping my face off! All in all this facial was 15mins! She tried to tell me I needed to come back for more peels and micros. NEVER! What a SCAM! I really wish I had read the other reviews before buying the Groupon. They were all spot on.

Got a groupon for microdermabrasion here, was done in just 15min! She also tried to up sell me to other facial treatments. What a rip off!!! Whole time she’s curt too, so much for wanting to return here.

Got the job done, friendly and helpful skin advice. I’ve invested a lot of time and money in my skin (major acne, scarring, discoloration) and I’ve tried it all — basic facials, chemical peels, IPL, microderm, and of course various regimens of prescription drugs and ointments. I’m now 40 and actually get compliments on my skin (which I only believe half the time). Bottom line is that I’m no novice to this world. I’m also open to trying new things/​places and I’m not in this for the meditative music and mood lighting. I’m in it for results. I got results from the two microdermabrasion sessions I got at Belle La Vie. I did the Groupon thing as well. No regrets.
I agree that the location isn’t the best. I wouldn’t do a night time appointment. Go there once and you’ll figure it out.
The microderm itself took 15 – 20 mins, which included a quick clean and moisturizer after. Very basic. My Groupon was $ 60 for two sessions so I got what I expected. In my experience, microderms that last longer are coupled with a facial and cost more. Even with the facial, the actual microdermabrasion part will still only take 15 – 20 mins, if that.
Viktoriya was kind and informative. She recommended additional services which I don’t find unusual. I took her up on an enzyme treatment during one visit. I wasn’t interested in doing the enzyme thing on my next visit, and she didn’t push. She is also very willing to negotiate discounts for multiple treatments or services so keep that in mind when returning. She gave me the enzyme treatment at a discount. I’m guessing this isn’t unusual either, but most salons/​spas don’t widely advertise that or don’t offer the discounts unless you commit to quite a few treatments, e.g. 4 – 5 or more.

BEWARE! Don’t buy Groupon! I agree with Claudias review. Hard to find her «spa» located off a parking lot way in back…(this is a huge office building. she should note this on webpage) only to arrive early and like Claudia the door was locked and a bunch of strange men hanging out back smoking making it very uncomfortable to wait by door. I’m thinking an AA meeting nearby? You couldn’t even get into sitting area.
There is a nicer courtyard area in the main office area I suppose u can wait there away from smoking strange men area.
She will try to convince you to upgrade for $ 55 – 75 again and again for better facial… DONT DO IT! The Groupon was for a microdermabrasion for face and neck…$ 30…these usually last an hour to half hour from previous experience at other spas… this was ten min then a mask of some sort that’s he left on and walked outta room for 20min leaving me to «hydrate». I’m glad I didn’t upgrade and I only paid $ 30 I would never come back it was a very awkward and quick facial if you want to call it a facial she didn’t prep the skin clean it or wash it or put any kind of moisturizer on at the end.

I have been going to this office for 4 months now. My experience so far has been pretty nice. I got a Groupon deal for two microdermabrasion sessions. I had multiple microdermabrasion treatments with different aestheticians in NY and SD, she is the only one that does the microdermabrasion on both of the face and neck area. She gives good recommendations for skin care. I actually see improvements after the treatment. Will recommend her to my friends!

Worst experience ever. Bad service, only took 20 min or less for microdermabrasion and peel for the cost of $ 100. What a rip off. she didnt even great customer with smiles and i dont feel relax at all. Feel like being rush and it was horrible. I feel like getting kick out of the place after the treatment. Treatment was so bad, no extraction, no massage, no steam, and not friendly and not relaxing at all. Worst of the worst. Total scam and terrible horrible service. Beware others, dont come to this place. Never come back again even if they refund me my $ 100 or give me $ 500 to return. Very very disappointed, i would give –10 if i could. Even they dont deserve 1 star.
I really recommend balensi institute skin care spa. They were the best and cost less than this horrible place and person. They give microdermabrasion with massage, steam, papaya mango peel and mask for only $ 55 and u will feel like heaven. But dont ever come to this place again. You will feel like torture and being scam. worst of the worst experience ever. Dont waste time or money here please. If i could write more to explain how bad this place is i would but im so tired and sick of just talking about this place. So please dont even try to come here if you dont want to feel bad, sad, ripped off and disappointed like i do.

Let me just start by saying I looked her up after my facial and found out her license has been delinquent since 04÷30÷15.
Business wasn’t in the best location. Dingy area. I usually assume I’m going to a spa, a relaxing environment but instead area had groups of people hanging out at the parking lot near the steps smoking.
Walk into the business with no one available to greet me. Viktoriya was finishing a client in the room. She then walk out with not the best customer service. When she was ready for me it didn’t seem she cleaned and prep the room since she invited me in right away. Towels were stained.
During my microdermabrasion she quickly examined my face and usually I get my face washed and prep for the exam in many other locations but she was quick. Talking the entire time. I wasn’t impressed. Would not go back. $ 70 for a 20 minute face treatment. Referred by groupon. Not sure why groupon has estheticians with expired license.
Try another place if you want a thorough face treatment.

I purchased a groupon for a microdermabrasion. My appointment was at 9:30 and wasn’t seen until 9:45. I felt like she was rushing and the treatment only took 10 minutes. I’ve never had a microdermabrasion treatment that quick.

At first it was hard to find as its up behind the building in the back. Lots of parking there though. I came in for my first time last month with super clogged pores and dull skin. After my session with Viktoriya my skin was so much more smooth and glowing and kept it up for weeks. I came back a month later for another session and already my skin started off better. Love coming here and she is such a doll. I have my monthly appts set up and I will continue to come to her!

This post has taken a while to write because it’s sort of a personal matter for me but truly Vika is a skin Goddess and deserves this review. I saw her for the first time years ago at my Bellagio and followed her to open her own ace because I don’t want to see anyone else for my skin.
I admit to having acne prone skin :/​so if I eat cheese, have a paper due or forget to wash my face just once I seem to break out. Even worse I was prescribe medicine by my doctor that created painful cystic acne and a face covered in pimples (I literally didn’t want to leave the house). So in order to prevent these flare ups I see Vika to do microdermabrasion and chemical peels. I’ve noticed when I see her regularly and use the prescribed Yonka regimen I don’t seem to have the flare ups!
She has not only helped reduce my acne flare ups but also gotten rid of years of acne scars while keeping my face hydrated and treating for anti-​aging! I am very thankful for her hard-​work.

I went through a groupon phase and purchased a microdermabrasion treatment with Viktoria along with several others. After seeing a handful of Aestheticians I realized that she was the only one where I felt like she actually did something. She used great products and explained what she was doing in detail. She certainly gets down to business and recommended a peel after telling her that I had a concern with a recent acne breakout. My skin was tingling in a good way and my skin was glowing afterward. I bought a lotion by Yonka that she recommended but I think I need something more intense. She on the other hand is an excellent Aesthetician and will see her again when I am able to and recommend her treatments.

She’s horrible its a total scam and I wouldn’t go to her if I were you! I went in for a facial it literally took 20 min. And she didn’t even do anything. She cleaned my face with soap and put a mask on and then sunscreen after. No steam no extractions and no massage. It did nothing for me. Total scam!

Didn’t get a proper greeting but I presumed I was working with the owner since she was the only one there.
The parking is a bit confusing and the layout of the building is awkward and her salon was hidden in the back so it took about an extra 10 minutes to find her suite.
I waited 20 minutes to be seen because she had an appointment prior to meeting me. It’s understandable but asking me to wait 5 minutes is not the same as 20.
She referred to me as Megan so I wasn’t sure if she was supposed to see me at my appointment time.
Her method was very quick, she rushed me through and I was finished in 15 minutes which included the cleaning and consultation, microdermabrasion, collagen and acne cream. I had to request that she go a little gentler because I didn’t feel like she really thought that my face needed it.
Overall, I had a bad impression and will most likely not return or recommend her for your microdermabrasion.

I took my sister’s recommendation and glad I did. Victoria was great! I’ve had microdermabrasion treatments before and they were ok but Victoria is very informative and opened my eyes on how to take better care of my skin since I’m outdoors all day for my work. I had a microdermabrasion treatment as well as an oxygen infusion treatment… my skin feels great! She recommended a cream from Yonka called Hydra #1 and my skin has never felt this good. I’m 40 years old and I know my skin needs some help… thank you Victoria… see you next month. Take a tip from this Unilocaler… you owe to yourself to check this place out. Oh and great location being in Mission Valley.

I am a regular at Belle La Vie and have had a positive experience every time I’ve gone. Viktoriya, the owner and Aesthetician, offers great customer service. She is very accommodating, always offers refreshments and is very knowledgeable with skin care. I feel so pampered and beautiful every time I leave her spa. Did I mention that Viktoriya is a pro when it comes to eye brow waxing too?! They are conveniently located right off the 8 freeway and Texas in Mission Valley. Can’t wait to book my next appointment.

I have tried out my fair share of aestheticians and nobody has been able to make my skin look and feel this good but Viktoriya. I have been seeing her for years and am so glad she opened up her own salon. She is professional, knowledgeable, accommodating, and gorgeous! Clearly what she is doing works really well. I have struggled with adult acne for years and nobody else has ben able to help. My skin became gorgeous with the product line she carries and a strict regimen of microdermabrasion and facials. She truly transformed me! She made me feel great inside and out. She also waxes and tweezes my brows back into shape!

I payed 95 $ for a microdermabrasion and a chemical peel, that was 15 minutes I’m not exaggerating! I’ve had several dozen facials before I must say I have never been more disappointed. I would have given them 1 star but they were able to make an appointment for me the same day, looking back at this now it makes sense they had availability.

Today was my second time at this spa and I won’t look any further. I had Swedish massage with Cury, and Facial/​Microdermabrasion with Viktoria.
Massage was great — very relaxing and she worked all my knots. She is very responsive, gentle and strong at the same time. I felt so light afterwards.
My facial was beyond amazing. Vika made me feel very comfortable and my skin is glowing. She is a real pro — her expertise, great European products that she uses and modern technology is a perfect combination for perfect skin!
Location is central and prices are very reasonable.
Thank you ladies — I will be back!

Just had a facial from Victoria & my skin has never felt better. She takes her time and makes sure you’re happy with the results. I’ve had Victoria do my brows in the past and now that she has her own salon, I plan on coming here… Its a bit of a drive since its in La Jolla & I live in east county, but the quality is definitely worth it.
