Bella Vita Pizza

Went to a concert at MCAS base last night. They had 3 food trucks there. The Slider House, which was in V.I.P. so we couldn’t get to it, Chubby’s, which is burgers I believe, and Bella Vits Pizza. We stood in line for a while cause the place was packed, but it was well worth the wait. The employees were working away and the cashier was apologetic about the wait, which was okay because patience is something everyone should have when it comes to food that is not fast food, she then asked me for my cell phone number so she could text me when my food was ready so I could find a place to watch the concert which was very thoughtful of her. About 10 mins later or less I receive a very professional text telling me my food was done. When I picked my food up the employee handing out the orders was yet again very apologetic about the wait. The pizza was well worth the wait, it was cooked perfectly and had an amazing amount of toppings on it. I will honestly have to say it has put every pizza place I have gone to, to shame. My hat off to the employees of Bella Vita Pizza, you guys make the best pizza I’ve had, you guys are amazing!!!

We were at a concert on base tonight ⁶⁄₂ and a few things went wrong.
1– They ran out of food before he concert was half over not all food just drinks, chips and fries. So all they had left was pizza and wings. Ok cool no big deal. We placed an order for 3 slices of pizza and some wings.
2– they were handing out orders to people who had just ordered and not to people who ordered 10 – 15 mins prior and mixing them up. When this was brought to the girls attention in the window she copped and attitude and her and another girl in the back bickered about the cashier being on her phone texting people.
3– while waiting for our food I noticed a girl who was making the pizzas touching her phone and all over her dirty pants WITH HER GLOVES ON and went back to touching the food with those same gloves. This is DISGUSTING and coming from someone who works as a server this is NOT OK!
4– while people are waiting the same girl touching her pants and phone and god knows what else with her gloved hands was sitting there texting and checking her Facebook mean while they are so backed up.
5– this is where I finally got fed up. I was standing there after noticing all this and started to really watch. The same girl texting and touching her pants took her gloves off and never put a new pair back ok… And started making pizzas. I called her out on it and asked for a refund. When explaining why the cashier (who was texting as well) and the girl making pizzas both had massive attitudes and tried to justify their texting. One said that she was letting people know their orders were ready… Really? I never heard you ask a single person for their contact info to let them know this but nice try. The other girl tried making some excuse to. Instead of just apologizing, tossing the contaminated pizza and giving me my refund. I did get my money back and the guy did apologize but they never tossed that pizza and continued to serve it to people. Fucking gross!
I will never in my life go to a place that has rude ass employees and is so unsanitary like this. I also plan on letting the base know not to invite them back unless they want their service members going to the hospital for food poisoning.

Bella Vita Pizza has a mobile canteen food truck that works out of BAE Shipyard every other day during the week. This truck serves a variety foods like sandwiches, wraps and great pizza. I love the fact they always have salads made fresh everyday and healthy options for weight watchers.
The pizza is amazing, made fresh straight of of the truck. Our company only allows us 30 minutes for lunch. With the great food being served out of Bella Vitas food truck, I can have a healthy lunch. Thank you Bella Vita.

Great food! I work over at the BAE shipyards and they come onto the yard Mondays and Wednesdays… I look forward for when they come to the yard because their food is by far the best in comparison to the others. If they came every day you can bet that I would be there everyday. Great staff! Always polite and professional. Keep up the great work guys! See you on Wednesday!

This is a great food truck. Stops at BAE San Diego Ship Repair on Mondays and Wednesdays. I really enjoy the salads, especially their Greek salad. For $ 5 you get mixed greens with spinach leaves, black olives, red onion, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and dressing. They have many other menu items which I have not tried like pizza, chicken strips, fries, sub sandwiches. They must be good because there’s always a line. I just buy the salads.

Stood in line for over an hour at Balboa Park for 2 slices of pizza and a drink. We were order number 50. So it took over and hour to serve just 50 people.

We were at the zoo hundred year anniversary, we met a kind gentleman named David. We are watching music from the zoo staff, you need describe him so that he was offering. From his description, we went over to the truck. literally, I eat pizza on a daily basis, it is the steeple of my diet. If this was wine, I’d count myself connoisseur. My family and I sat down to an adjacent table, and looked at each other, blown away by the smörgåsbord that lay before us. For the cost, I was mesmerized by the amount of food, and quality, that we received. In the future, if I see this truck, I will run to it without regard for safety, my senses are utterly satisfied. Please take this review seriously, because I am the type person that if I liked, or dislikes something, I would steer you in the face and until you understood that. I am not gentle on pizza, there are many varieties, I can say this one is good, very good. Give it a try, and indulge in delight.

This is my favorite food truck! The speed of service is great. The staff is phenomenal. The pizza is excellent. I have to say, I’m not a big fan of food trucks in general but this truck is the exception. The cook, David is very friendly and stops just to say hello even in the middle of a rush. You never get customer service like that at most restaurants! Definitely worth the wait and I always recommend this place to my friends. And if pizza is not your forte, they have salads, subs or chips! They even serve organic RockStars!

When you think of food trucks you MUST think of these guys, Bella Vita Pizza! I Love a good pie so when i started eating their food i was a happy guy. David and his awesome staff have always been accommodating with everything on the menu while serving up great pizza, sandwiches, wings and all the extras!!! I am a fan and will be til the end…

Yucky Chicken Alfredo Pasta! Overcooked noodles not drained drained well. Looks like they used a Recycled breaded chicken from another menu. Don’t waste your money on this one!
