Bee Friendly Bee Removal

I’m a couple weeks late on getting this in, but I definitely need to give praise to this company.
— Al was prompt on getting back to me for the initial inquiry.
— John came out and gave me an estimate. I was super impressed with his knowledge and confidence in assessing my bee problem.
NOTE: the quote was valid (understandably) for I believe 10 days as the bee problem would have gotten worse after the initial observation.
— I called other places factoring in their convenience to my home, but honestly Bee Friendly was the quickest to respond and actually one of the farthest from me. (Vista to me in Mira Mesa)
— booked my appt for safe removal and not opting to terminate the bees! SAVE THE BEES!
— John and his son came out the following week, fully prepared, cut into my roof, removed the bees and honeycombs, treated the wood, insulated the open area to prevent the space being used again, and finally repaired the roof back to its functional status with new replacement parts. The whole process only took less than 4 hours.
— there’s a 3% charge for using credit but the end result was completely worth paying for.
— as I noted it’s already been a couple weeks out and the lingering bee’s have dissipated within 2 days of the removal.
— John also has a roofing background so on top of his awesome work with the bees, he also gave me a quote on options for our roof as it’s been in need of getting redone. We’ve had that estimate done previously and this quote and option was WAY better and realistic for our budget. When we are financially ready for that next step, we are definitely working with Bee Friendly again!
I don’t write much reviews but this company is truly worth the 5 star rating!

Just recently had roof repairs done by this outstanding father and son team and it may have been the best experience I’ve ever had with a contractor.
I was in a hurry and contacted them on a Friday morning. They were out with a quote at the end of the day and it was more than fair. They came back and did the work over thee weekend for me and it all came out perfect!

Good service– they are a little more expensive, but they provide complete service and really did a good job … in the end worth it. They lose one star because they rescheduled last minute due to car trouble. It’s not that I’m not sympathetic, but as homeowners that work, we have to schedule our life around handymen, and when they don’t have back up for car problems, it becomes our problem, but I only dinged them 1 star — I DO recommend them. We have had ongoing be problems for years and have used other companies and the bees have come back. I think they have resolved the problem for good.

There’s a reason these guys have a bunch of 5 star reviews. John came over and handled a new bee colony with zero effort and was extremely professional through the entire process. If every professional service operated this way, I’d never try to fix anything around my house myself! Very informative as well and can’t recommend them enough!

Al set me up with an appointment. About an hour after I called Sergio was there. Sergio was very knowledgeable, moved in surveyed the problem and started out by hunting down the Queen B after removing the queen bee he cleaned up treated for the future problems and did a very nice job. I appreciate the help very much thank you bee friendly bee removal.

Sergio is such a professional! We are in the middle of renovating our home and a swarm of bees came into our walls. We called this company and Sergio promptly showed up. He immediately smoked the bees out. Unfortunately we had so many opening that more bees came in. Sergio came two more times at no charge to make sure that all the bees were removed. Apparently bees were coming in from different entrances because the walls were opened. It was new swarms each time. I am so impressed with Sergio and his absolute dedication to being a professional. Great job!!!

I called a few places looking for help. There were bees in my kids room wall. When I called Al, he knew sense of urgency. With in an hour he sent me a tech.
The tech was knowledgeable and friendly. He explained the steps and what he was going to treat the bees with.

Excellent service. They came by an hour after I called. The job wasn’t as easy as we thought so John Mateus said he would come back the next morning. He was here when he said he would. He explained everything he was doing, told me about the company history, showed me each step he was going through and was super friendly the whole time. I would definitely recommend Bee Friendly to anyone who needs a reliable, fast and friendly company.

Unilocal is a great resource for more than just restaurants. I needed someone to remove a swarm of bees that moved into my attic one night, and this company answered the phone after hours! I called two other companies and they didn’t even return my call the next day. Not that it mattered, because Bee Friendly was at my door the next morning at 7am. I’ll use them again, and certainly recommend them to anyone!

We called Bee Friendly at 7 pm on a Saturday night and they had someone at our house at 7 am the next day, on Memorial Day weekend. Fred was knowledgable and friendly. We were lucky and did not have an entire swarm and a hive to remove so he sprayed the area, removed the few bees that remained and adjusted the price accordingly. He used a green spray so we had no worries about having people and animals in our backyard for a BBQ later in the day. We will definitely use Bee Friendly again if another bee situation arises.

Saturday afternoon we were alarmed when we discovered a massive swarm (1000’s)of honey bees had set up housing arrangements for their queen up under the umbrella over our patio table. With our neighbors having fruit trees we are used to quite a few and can coexist with them nicely. I am allergic however and our three dogs love to chase the random bee, so that was simply too many bees. We brought the dogs in the house before they upset the entire colony and got on the computer to find a bee removal. We called the top one on Google and lucky for us we got only an answering machine**. We called the second one listed, Bee Friendly Bee Removal and got a real person who said they would have someone there in about an hour.
Bee Friendly Bee Removal arrived in about 90 minutes and explained that he would vacuum them into a screened container and then take them to a local farmer who keeps bee hives. Fred was so knowledgeable and really enjoyed working with and educating people about bees, it was a pleasure to talk to him. He had the whole matter taken care of shortly and charged the original price of $ 250, which we paid happily. The Bee Queen is now living happily some where new and the dogs and I can have our back yard again. Thanks Bee Friendly Bee Removal!
(**Oh yeah, While we were waiting for Bee Friendly Bee Removal went to Unilocal and read so many Horrible Reviews about the OTHER company we called. Apparently they do NOT stick with their original price, we dodged a bullet on that on!!)

This company knows bees! I would recommend them to anyone with a bee issue. We had a large hive that needed to be removed and wanted to be sure the bees went to a beekeeper. Al answered all my questions and concerns on a few calls and then his senior tech, John came out and did the same, answering all my questions and then carefully removing the hive! I had called a few places and this company had the the best prices and were able to come when we needed them– on time with a phone call to confirm when they would arrive. Great experience!

I found wasp nests (and wasps) in the attic when I was going to change A/​C filters located there. I’ve been stung before and did not want to use toxic chemicals right over the living area, so called a few bee/​wasp removal services.
Fred was able to stop by within a couple of hours and gave me a very reasonable price before starting work. Other places I called either did not want to do the work or would have charged much more (one wanted 3 times as much).
Fred removed the nests and installed finer-​mesh screening over the attic vents to keep more wasps from entering. It was all done quickly, efficiently, and with no mess.
Quick service, good work, reasonable price — I highly recommend Bee Friendly.

I noticed that we had yellow jacket bees swarming in and out of our eve vents a few days ago and decided to call a couple of bee removal services. Only Bee Friendly was able to come and help us with the situation. One other company actually had the nerves to tell me to go up and check what type of bees was in my attic! Crazy! Anyways, spoke to the receptionist at BF and they immediately schedule for someone to come out later that evening. Let me just say what a wonderful job JJ did for us. He was able to find the hive and remove it from the attic. It was actually sitting just right above our couch. Apparently, Yellow Jackets like sheet rocks because that was what they ate through and used for their hive. The only thing that prevented the hive from falling through any day was the thick layer of paint we had. You can actually see a bubble forming on the ceiling! After removal, JJ helped us patch up the hole that was made to remove any traces of the bees and sealed up any penetration point outside the vents. With his construction background JJ even pointed out some issues we had in our roof when he was up there. I’m glad there are people like JJ that goes above and beyond his call of duty. I would definitely recommend BF to anyone that have any Bee issue that needs to be taken care of. Price I feel is on the high side if you need Removal and Repair but for the peace of mind that comes after their service is well worth it! Job well done!

Fast, friendly and reasonably priced bee removal services.
Sergio and his colleague arrived at my home on Sunday morning with a plan to remove a newly formed bee hive in the attic of my home. Unfortunately there was not a crawl space so they had to cut a hole in my roof which was repaired immediately following the bee hive extraction. They also placed a mesh screen to block the return of other bees.
In all there were about 4000 bees that were removed. Throughout the entire process Sergio kept me informed and put my fears to rest.
Bonus: Got to hold the honeycomb and see the queen bee. Sergio even educated me about the different types of bees and their role in the colony.

I have a rental property in Laguna Niguel and the tenant called to say she had bees in her chimeny. I checked a few websites and chose Bee Friendly because their webpage said they would beat other company’s prices. Also, the comments on their website from past clients said they were the best price. Well, not so much! They charged my tenant $ 345.00 to remove about 50 – 100 scouts… not even a colony yet. And treat the area. I called the next day to ask about the high cost and they told me they were good and typically had higher prices then other companys.
I used Bee Busters last year at my house and they charged $ 150. I should have used them again. Oh well.

I found Bee Friendly online, after getting annoyed with some local guys not following up to remove a year old hive that had formed in my attic. It seems my lousy roofing contractor left plenty of gaps for the bees to move in.
I was really impressed with the information over the phone I received from their office in Southern California. The two gentlemen, Randy and JD were local guys who knew my area and knew how to fix the issues right away. Their quote was fair for all the work they did. And in a couple of hours, the removed several though bees plus a significant amount of honey, and patched up their work .
Very neat, clean and efficient. And a warranty to boot. And unlike one of the other reviews, no chemicals were used to kill the bees. I think they are all on a farm somewhere in the Central Valley now.

We had several wasp nests tucked under our roof (in between the roof and exterior panels) which made it hard to spray with conventional wasp sprays. Called Bee Friendly and Fred came out and did a great job removing the panels, eliminating the nests, and then reinstalling the exterior panels and completely sealing the area. Great work, very professional and at a great price. Very quick response too.
I highly recommend them! Now I can BBQ without fear of a wasp swarm ruining my day!
