Customer service is horrible. They need new management. 5 years ago this place was super good. Had horrible experience with customer service & when you ask for help with any extensions, wigs etc you feel rushed
Btw MARSHA: See first gave me a discount because my name is in the computer for cosmetology and I’ve never had an issue. I went to buy another item & she said she couldn’t give it to me because something happen to where she couldn’t see my name the 2^nd time. Smh WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I only come here when I know exactly what I need to get. If I have questions or need help with anything I refuse to come here.

Ok the nice Hispanic man who complimented my hair and also asked if I needed help with anything, this two star review is not for you. You were very pleasant and didn’t treat me as if I was going to steal.
The two Asian chicks at the front end… ya’ll need to learn some people skills or find a new career. I understand that people have stolen from the store, but don’t treat every person, that comes in with the intent to purchase something, as if they are going to steal. It’s very offensive and it’s not fair to those who are giving you money. Get it together!

I used to shop in the North Park store until I discovered this location. This store always has good sales and Clarence items and the staff is very friendly.

I have visited this location many times upon moving to San Diego. The service is absolutely great! They have went out of their way to help me find the products that I was looking for.

Remodeled and lotsa of braiding hair and other products. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Absolutely HORRENDOUS customer service. No location of the Beauty Supply Warehouse will ever have my business EVER again.
After realizing I picked up the incorrect version of the product I wanted I returned less than 12 hours later to EXCHANGE not return the Item to get the correct one. I foolishly assumed I would get at least decent customer service and an even exchange would be made since I simply picked up the wrong packaging. Wrong. I was told I could not exchange a product for the exact same price ANDY brand since the product I purchased was «final sale». Final sale our not, it would have been an even exchange and the store would have taken no loss as they had an excess of the product. Either way, they’ve lost my business for good.
What’s worst is after my bad experience I drove less than 2 minutes east on University to find Sam’s Beauty Supply with great customer service, very helpful staff, a great store layout AND the product I purchased from BSW was newer and less than ½ the price! The advertised price as Sam’s is less than the sale price at BSW!

Every time I come here, they have the WORST WORST WORST customer service EVER. I walked in and no one greeted me, they just gave me a dirty look and continued talking to their friends/​coworkers. I walked around for 30 minutes trying to find some descent hair extensions. I asked a lady for help and she directed me towards a man in the back and told me to ask him for help. It took 15 minutes to even get his attention because he kept walking past me, telling me to wait and helping other people. After watching him help every black woman in the store, and demanding his attention he sent me to the front. BACK TO THE ORIGINAL LADY! and this happens every time I go there. They have no idea what they talking about or selling. I asked if I could dye the hair and they lady said «you could probably do something with it» then walked away. Excuse me for wanting some damn help. I know more about hair extensions than the dummies who work there. I would walk from San Diego to New York for some hair extensions to avoid going there ever again.
Point is; if you’re not a black woman with an attitude, DO NOT come here.

I came into this beauty supply store 10 to 15 minutes before closing but the employee cat was absolutely amazing very tentative really knowledgeable because of her I definitely will come back to the beauty supply cant member with her co workers name is but he’s always sweet when I come in there nice job guys your got a life time customer

I was here yesterday and I came in to get hair extensions, they did have two people there and there were customers getting checked out but I was literally reaching over the counter to see hair and what kinds to get before this line started, it took 20 mins to acknowledge me and then a lady voiced I’ll be with you in a minute, continued to ring up customers and I saw another employee that stunk of cigarette smoke; he looked at me and didn’t say anything, they switched spots and the lady that voiced to me looked at me and took a personal phone call.
I stood still with out getting help still and a lady from THE BACK!!! came straight up to me and helped me! After she left two customers with decent service, I was annoyed already but thank you mam, I work in customer service retail and its not good being disrespected as a customer! When I check out the guy that «looked» at me checked me out and he was EATING in my face and just came from his break!!!
I get home and this morning had to return because the guy did not put my silk edges in my bag but charged me!!! I am beyond annoyed!
This is close to my apartment but I can so drive and find a knowledgeable supply store and someone that makes their customers feel great!!! I really hope the manager reads this and gets knowledge of how your employees are but you won’t see me back for a long long time or NEVERRRRR!!!

Katrina, one of the employees was a wonderful help! She is definitely the one to go to when there. This place has what you need at pretty good prices.

This is by far the worst place I have ever shopped. I would rather take my chances online. The employees are lazy and often rude or do not know the products thay are selling. I guess texting, talking, or just standing around are more important then customer service. The store is usually a mess, and understocked. The floors are dirty, there is a big hole in the roof, and they pick and choose who they let use the restroom even if you are a paying customer which is just rude. There use to be great employees at this location, but they are all gone (I wonder why) Thank god they built a Sam’s right down the street because that’s where I’ll be taking my buisiness. I feel sorry for the people that have to work there, and especially the people who still shop there, because this place is GHETTO!!! I would much rather shop at the Euclid location and that is actually in the ghetto. The ownership should be ashamed!!!

Depending on the staff that’s there they are really knowledgable
What’s weird is that it’s usually a guy that has all the info you need
You would think a guy working there isn’t common but not to mention he knows every product, how to use it, and the isle it’s located
I hate looking around that big store so I always ask the front counter & they always have what I need
I try to go as early as possible just like I do Walmart to try to beat the hoodrat crowd

I’m only giving them 4 stars bcuz today was my first visit, so I only have one experience to draw from. I was extremely pleased with the selection of hair that they had. There was hair everywhere. I initially went to OK Beauty Supply but didn’t stay long. The only bulk hair (for braiding) that I saw was cheap $ 3 — $ 10 synthetic hair. The woman behind the counter showed me human hair that they kept in boxes behind the counter. There wasn’t much to choose from. I was only presented one brand and 2 styles (wavy and straight). I need to have options. They had nothing less than 18″ in length and $ 42 in cost AND I felt rushed.
Someone else posted that BSW carries fewer colors than they used to. I’m not sure how much of a selection that they used to have but I was content with what they had. The employees were personable and helpful; they showed me the hair I needed and allowed me to take all the time that I needed to browse. I’ll definitely be returning.

This isn’t my favorite location (I prefer the one in North Park.) but it will do… especially since its a hop, skip & jump from my house. I drove past this place to go up the hill to the college grove shopping center for nearly a year before I ever decided to stop in…
They seriously carry any and every hair product I use (Joico, Motions, Paul Mitchell) and I’ve even discovered some new products here as well. The employees are really friendly, but good luck getting timely help if you want to purchase extensions!

I will not visit this place anymore, I previously had found the staff friendly, but HIGHLY unknowledgeable about leading hair products. I understand the place is large and carries a large majority of products, but that is no excuse to run people all over the store. One instance I called about a certain hair extension length and a range of pricing and the person who I was speaking to yelled at me «WE DON’T GIVE OUT PRICING OVER THE PHONE». First off no need to yell, secondly, I asked for a range, as I live in Vista, and am not driving all the way to San Diego for some overly expensive product, not worth my gas nor my time. Lastly, you did not even answer my question of what length you carried. Overall, RUDE. I will never go there again as they have a lot of cheap synthetic but not a lot of human hair selection and do not even carry my favorite braiding hair and would not recommend this place unless all the other places went out of business, plus, if you want the BETTER beauty supply places. Check out OK Beauty Supply on the same street further down in the plaza with the IHOP & Food 4 Less or the one at 2901 University Ave, both are more knowledgeable and have WAY BETTER customer service hands down. If in North County try Cassablanca, it is the best.
