Bead Gallery

Just went into this shop today and completely loved it. They have a nice selection of beads, findings, supplies, etc… but the best part was the individual friendly help you get when you first walk in the door. It is a small shop, and you don’t expect much, but after looking at the pieces that have been made by their teacher’s, you can’t help but get inspired and see what they have to offer. Classes are available too. The prices are reasonable considering the help that you get. This is a great place for beginners to start and then up to the advanced levels. I like how organized and clean the store is.

Stopped in here with my teenage daughter. Lovely shop and very helpful. My daughter was given one on one service to pick out beads etc. very helpful. I would recommend this shop highly.

I went here hoping to change out the beads in a pair of earrings to better match a dress I’m wearing. I basically had no clue what I was doing, but the woman working there was extremely kind and patient, explained my options to me and helped me figure out what would look best. Then she took the time to actually show me how to replace the beads, and basically did it for me. My earrings look great, and it only cost me the price of the beads. So nice to have places like this to help people with no knowledge of jewelry making.

The shop is really small and they don’t have a TON of inventory (most beads are glass, and I only work with semi precious. Maybe if I worked with glass I wouldn’t have thought it was such a small selection?) but they were such lovely people and had a lot of cording that I like that I’d come back here again if I were in the area and needed a supply.

I was looking to match a bead from my wedding dress and had gone to a couple other places and couldn’t find it. Within two minutes of looking here I found it. So seed beads are well organized. The store was small and the lady at the counter was helping another customer when I first arrived. When I went up to the counter to ask her opinion she helped. Customer service wasn’t great overall but also was not bad. I will most likely go back.

One of my favorite necklaces (that wasn’t cheap) had a wire snap and I thought I would have to toss it. I took it in to the Bead Gallery and they said they would fix it, and for only $ 10! Very friendly staff who even complemented me on my taste in jewelry and asked where they could get it. :)
Definitely taking all my future repairs here!

I really enjoyed the wire working class I took at this location. I didn’t expect to walk away with a finished bracelet in under 2 hrs. Very clear, patient instruction-​kudos!
The prices are a tad high but they offer good discounts tied to classes and monthly email offerings. I definitely will be back for more classes.
The only reason for losing that last star… When I first went to visit the store, it was 15 minutes before closing (I had rushed out from work) and the saleslady was on her cell phone and the business door was locked. She saw me then quickly turned her back while she continued to talk on her phone. That almost kept me from ever coming back.

I came in with a broken necklace needing repair. I had an idea of how to fix it, but Michelle had even a better idea with a design twist. In fact, to help me understand what she had in mind, we did the repair on the spot and now this necklace is even better and better looking than before!

Awesome place. Super helpfull, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. With an outstanding selection. And if they don’t have it they’ll tell you where to find it. Great place, I’ll be back.

I love this place. Who knew beading could be so beautiful and so much fun. The classes are great; Peggy has the patience of a saint. Julie and Amy are very helpful in selecting materials for your project. It’s easy to get to and there is plenty of parking. I like to support locals.

Stopped by this place for the first time. The owner is very friendly and helpful. There is a variety of items you can buy individually rather than a whole strand. It’s a little bit pricey though.

This place is a very good place.
I am no longer an avid beader. Instead, I now dabble here and there, though my appreciation of the craft still remains.
I had a daunting task of refashioning a bracelet I needed for my wedding. Frannie was not only a super star, she made it better than the original!
I also had help with a pair of Tiffany sterling earrings, too. There is no end in the talent that works at Bead Gallery.
Helpful, artistic and professional. This is the real deal.

I stopped by here this morning to purchase a replacement chain for my necklace. I didn’t catch the owner’s name but she was incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! I told her that I’m a little rough with my things (aka I don’t take care of things very well) and listened to me rant about the lacking jewelry selection at Michael’s. She found a great chain that will hold my charm perfectly. It definitely seems like it will last many years with me. She even attached the clasps I brought in that I purchased at another store.
I’ll definitely stop by again if I ever have any jewelry/​beading needs. She mentioned that they also provide classes which seem like they would be a lot of fun. They just downsized and remodeled the store. I didn’t look around too much but there seems to be a nice variety to the store’s selection.
To get to the store, you turn into the little plaza where they just put in a new stoplight. Then you make an immediate right and park. Just walk down the stairs to get to the store.

Maybe it’s loyalty to my store back in Cambridge that keeps me from really liking this place, but my experience was only so-​so. I came in looking for some gold-​plated memory wire for a bracelet. It took some time for someone to ask if I needed help, but once we got rolling the staff was quick to point out where the necessary supplies were. Sadly, they didn’t have any memory wire, save for some crummy looking unfinished stainless steel. One 3″ diameter loop was like $ 1.25, which is a little steeper what I was used to, but beggars can’t be choosers. Actually, that more or less sums up how I felt about this place, what I saw of the products wasn’t 100% the way I wanted them. For instance, they sell their Swarovski Pearls only in strings and when I asked if they could help me match the whole size to a gauge of wire they said they couldn’t help, which meant they had no loose pearls and they weren’t willing to untie a string and retie it. I wasn’t crazy about the selection of chains there either. When I asked the person helping me with the memory wire how I’d reshape it to the size I needed she shrugged and told me she never used it.
All that being said, they did have a nice collection of wood beads and natural beads that I haven’t come across. Perhaps it comes down to size. I head from one of the employees that they closed 12/​23/​2013 and will open in January of 2014 with some major renovations so perhaps that will also mean an expanded inventory. I’ll make sure to check them out.

The staff is always so nice and extremely knowledgeable! Anytime I have a question about technique the staff has taken the time to show me. They also have monthly coupons that are emailed for 25% off and can be used multiple times in that month. If you order full roles of chain they discount them and everything is priced just right!

LOVE this shop! The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can stop in with questions and ask for advice. I have yet to find a staff member who does not bead. The quality of the products is great and the selection is awesome. My only wish is that this store gets bigger.
Classes here are very affordable. Class size is small and instructors are very helpful. Tools are provided for the beading and wire wrap classes. There is no pressure to buy anything, but the 20% discount for the day is very hard to resist.

I have been here several times and I always find the cutest beads. I enjoy shopping here because of the individual bead selection, which can be hard to find. Although a small shop, Bead Gallery really has some unique loose beads and spacers to offer. I found that they carry some of the best leather cord in various glittery colors. Plus, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
They also have bead classes with the latest techniques. The only downside is some of the items in this shop are on the pricey side, but in my opinion, if your making a special piece or gifts, a visit to this shop is well worth it.
