Bayside Bar & Grill is the BESTWESTERNPLUS Bayside Inn’s hotel restaurant. The hotel offers free continental breakfast meal vouchers to hotel guests. The restaurant is not inside the hotel, but located in the building on the corner. When you enter the restaurant, you need to wait in front to be seated. For hotel guests redeeming the voucher, hand the ticket and a staff member will direct you where to sit. After showing you to your table, you can head to the breakfast buffet. If the dining room is full, you can sit in the lounge area to the side. The breakfast buffet offerings are slightly better than a continental breakfast. There are hot meal choices, but options are rather limited. It would get boring after a few days. If you do, they do have a breakfast menu to change it up a little. The buffet has items like scrambled eggs, ham and breakfast potatoes. There is even rice! There is also a selection of breads, cereal and pastries alongside the coffee, tea and juices. Fruit is also available. I had a plate of eggs, ham and potatoes with rice along with a muffin. The food was alright. Nothing special. You get the feeling here like eating breakfast here is like a cattle call. Staff is focused on getting hotel guests in and out as quickly as possible so the next wave can come in. While the buffet breakfast is the main attraction, the restaurant and lounge here is open on weeknights if you want to have dinner and a drink here. Though given the many dining options in the area, it would be much better to eat elsewhere. As free breakfasts go, this one was okay. At least it is better than the continental breakfasts most hotels offer. Eating here for a day or two would be fine. But if you are staying at the Best Western long than that, I would recommend checking out the eateries close by since the hotel is in Little Italy.
