This is by far the best OB/​GYNO office that I’ve ever been to. It was my very first time dealing with Sharp. The staff at the office were so kind and helpful. They helped me set up my new high tech Sharp account. This included getting my fingerprints scanned and also getting my picture taken. All of the above was performed in order to make sure that insurance fraud never happens. Everything in the office is digital, which means less paperwork for me, I only filled out one piece of paper!
Dr. Barmeyer is truly amazing. He made me feel so comfortable, I felt as if I’ve known him all my life. I had gone in for my annual check up. By the time i knew it, he had already finished the exam. He really takes the time to get to know you and your background. I’m so glad I was referred to this doctor, the reviews are true; he really is the best doctor in San Diego!

Dr. Barmeyer is AWESOME! Going on my second pregnancy with him as my doctor and he makes it so easy and comfortable. I reccomend him to all my family and friends who are looking for an OBGYN provider. He is the best!

Dr. Barmeyer’s office has delivered my first two children and I’m about to have my 3^rd with him.
We loved Dr. B and all of his staff. Through 3 pregnancies I have only ever seen Dr. B and Cheryl, his NP. Every single appointment has been done by the two of them including both deliveries. Which has been super nice to have that consistency. I feel that they know me very well and I know them very well. They are almost always on time for my appointments and Dr. B has a very calming presence in the delivery room. He is interested in helping you make decisions that feel good to you, while also helping you understand the medical ramifications for your body and child. He is respectful of your personal choices even if he doesn’t always agree. But his primary concern is always the safety of the mom and child and I feel confident he will never let anything happen to me or my baby that is in his power to help.
He never appears rushed or late for anything and spends so much time with me at each appointment I feel like I never have any questions when I leave and I am super well informed every time.
I highly recommend him.

Dr. Barmeyer was my OBGYN throughout my second pregnancy. Very educated, very knowledgable and at the same time down to earth and comforting. Nice staff, clean practice, usually pretty short wait times. Wish he would have been able to deliver my little girl but with the 2.5 seconds I was actually in the hospital before the baby came flying out, the janitor could have delivered her for all I cared. Would highly recommend!

I came to San Diego 7 months pregnant and no time to shop for an ob/​gyn. I hit gold finding Dr. Barmeyer! He is patient, attentive, kind, gentle, honest, easy to talk to, great doctor! He never rushes me. He gives me advice that is perfect for what I need. He was friendly to my spouse and child on my ob visit and labor. Unfortunately, his shift was over before I delivered but has been outstanding ever since I met him. Highly recommend this doctor!

I have been meaning to write this review for ages. Not that Dr. Barmeyer needs it! I have never heard a bad word spoken about him. He is THE BEST. I have been going to him for years. He cared for me during my last two pregnancies/​births. I wish he would have been there for my first! Selfishly, I hope he never retires. He is a great doctor and a very kind man. As busy as he is, I have always felt like I was his only patient. He takes the time to talk to you, answer all of your questions, and appease your concerns. I feel like I won the OB/​GYN lottery :) And to top it all off, his nurse, Vicki, is also fantastic!

In 2006 when I was 33.5 weeks pregnant with my first child, we tragically found out that she had died. I decided to be induced. I saw many nurses and doctors through the several hours I was in labor, but it was Dr. B and Nurse Chayla (sp?) that was there for Ally’s birth. Dr. B happened to be the on-​call doctor. For the worst day of my life, I am so glad that I shared it with Dr. B and Nurse Chayla. I hold them close to my heart. I will always remember how kind, sweet and respectful they were. They handled the situation perfectly.
I got pregnant again and was going to be induced at 38 weeks as a precaution, which fell on a date that my ob/​gyn would be out of the country. My ob/​gyn said that Dr. B would be my doctor if that was okay. I was ecstatic!
Laboring my son took longer than expected. Dr. B’s shift had ended, but he stayed for me.
I got to spend the worst and best day of my life with Dr. B. I am forever grateful for him.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. He truly is very special to me. He is featured in my son’s scrapbook!

Dr. Barmeyer is the BEST OBGYN ever. He’s easy to talk to, attentive, doesn’t make you feel rushed or uncomfortable in any way. He’s a very nice man and i’m so glad i found him!

Dr. Barmeyer is GREAT. He’s been my doctor for all 3 of my pregnancies– delivered 2 healthy babies and unfortunately I recently had a miscarriage with my last one. He is so caring and compassionate, I heard the regret in his voice when he told me about the miscarriage. I had several friends who’s OBs told them to go to the ER and he made time for me to come in (during his lunch break I believe). He also worked with me to try to have a VBAC with my second — it didn’t work out but he didn’t shut me down and actually encouraged it when I asked about it. I believe had he been the doctor on call the night I delivered my second, I would have a higher chance of it being successful. He is very laid back and reassuring, and for a nervous nellie like myself that’s the best kind of doctor to hope for. He’s been voted several times as best OB/​GYN in San Diego Magazine (I checked!). I can’t wait to see him should I be lucky enough to get pregnant again.

Oh Dr. B, how I adore you. He is the BEST. Kind, funny, real, a great listener, sits down and takes the time to hear you He is amazing. I have referred many friends to him and all have had great experiences as well. The downside is that he is so popular that it takes a while to be seen/​get an appointment, but Dr B and his wonderful nurse Vicki are worth the wait. He is also featured on several TLC Baby Stories.

Wonderful caring Doctor, he listens and is very positive. He wants the birthing women to enjoy birth and wants to help her have the birth she wants, natural or medicated. He tries to deliver his patient babies unlike a lot of Doctors that say whoever is on call will deliver your baby.
One of the Best!

If your looking for an amazing OBGYN Dr. B is your man. He took amazing care of me and my baby while I was pregnant. During birth I had to have him use forceps to get her out… scary as it may seem, he did such an amazing job!!! I knew no matter what happened everything was going to be ok because I was under his care. Thanks Dr. B…
