Banyan’s Landscaping Maintenance

I am very pleased with the job Banyan and his crew did with removing the sod and putting down small river rocks and putting in some drought tolerant plants. He even removed a good size tree that I decided to take out at the last minute and didn’t change anything extra. He and the crew were respectful and he answered my phone calls or emails promptly. They had the job done in two days in spite of a rain shower one of those days. I would highly recommend Banyan to anyone who needs a good honest hard working landscaper. I would have him do my yard maintenance but unfortunately he lives too far from me to come on a regular basis. I can understand that because of the heavy traffic both ways. Happy I found him for this job. I forgot to mention they put in a drip system and timer too. Great job. Love it.

RIPOFF!!! At first, I wanted to give Banyan and his team 5 stars for being respectful and professional; sadly, this is what I give and here is why… I asked Banyan for an estimate over the phone. He went over to the place and gave me the one-​time estimate, plus his rate for the monthly maintenance we were looking for. We closed a deal and we were happy with the work they did the first time, as the small yards were in desperate need of work. After that first-​timer bigger paycheck, Banyan stopped showing up with his team. Banyan sent his team over two more times before texting me that unfortunately they could not do our monthly maintenance, as it’s only one time and he wants to go, at least, two times a month. We wanted to have an actual appointment set with Banyan so that one of us could be there to supervise their work. Banyan said his schedule was «full» and he wasn’t able to make an appointment (date and TIME) with us every time they’d go.
I understood his point and asked if we could work something out. He gave me Tim, another gardener’s number, and said «I’m sorry we can’t work with you anymore.» And that was the last time I heard from Banyan.
I give Banyan props for being polite and professional every time we spoke or texted, and also by offering me Tim’s number, but we still feel that we were RIPPED OFF.
If you have a huge yard, Banyan would love to work with you; If not, he may not answer your call.

Everything that a landscaper should be– good communicator, accurate estimates, flexible, reviews work plans before starting, on time and completed all work agreed upon. Very happy with the work done by Banyan and his crew which included removing a lawn, taking out 50 yr old shrubs (including roots), laying weed cloth, and mulching the entire yard.

Banyan and his crew did an amazing job to clear the top of our slope to comply with fire code. It was basically a jungle up there and they cleared everything all within one day and in this heat! I would highly recommend Banyan. He’s easy to reach and shows up when he says he’ll be there. Those things matter when looking for a landscaper and we appreciate his hard work and doing such a great job!!!

I selected Banyan for my turf removal based on his consistently good Unilocal reviews, and I chose wisely. Banyan charged significantly less for turf removal than other xeriscaping companies. He was actually the only one who was reasonable and he was well within the state-​offered rebate. He was very friendly and personable, and offered a lot of helpful advice on how I could complete my project on my own. He even provided me with some landscaping equipment (odds and ends) free of charge and made sure the job was done in one day. Very happy with his work.

These guys are awesome. The trimmed 2 extremely tall palm trees. They then skinned them to give them a cleaner appearance. Changed the whole look of my house in a great way. Last Christmas they came back, climbed the trees and hung Christmas lights that can be seen across the community!

I had my Sod removed to put in a drought tolerant garden. Banyan and crew removed it efficiently and quickly. He and his crew are professional and I would highly recommend them and plan to refer them to people I know.

Banyan removed the turf from my back and side yard and I’m well pleased with the job he did. He completed the job as promised and his price was very reasonable. Banyan and his crew were very friendly and trustworthy and I felt totally comfortable with them at my home. His work ethic is top notch and I’m sure I will be contacting him again for other landscaping needs.

Banyan and his crew did the deferred maintenance at our new house (even worked through the rain) and is now our regular landscape maintenance crew. He’s very knowledgeable, personable, and fairly priced.

Banyan and his team went above and beyond on my yard clean up project. They cut back large hedges surrounding my property, trimmed some smaller palm trees, removed weeds from the fence line and around the house, mowed and worked some magic to make everything look better than I could have expected. The price was great and I look forward to calling Banyan for my next project.

Today Banyan and two crew members showed up with a sod cutter to remove our lawn since we will be replacing it with low water, drought tolerant plants. They worked for the next seven+ hours with only a couple short breaks. It was an extremely tough job because of all the tree roots and compacted soil. They then had to roll up the heavy sod and haul it out to their truck. I couldn’t be happier with the results. What they couldn’t remove with the sod cutter they took care of manually with picks and shovels. Even when Banyan hauled the first load off to the dump the other two guys worked as hard as ever and didn’t slack off just because the boss was gone. This was one hard working, pleasant team and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Fair price, on time, hard work. That’s what a homeowner wants when he has work done and that’s what he’ll get with this company.

Today we had Banyan and his crew working all day on our very large hillside removing 7 century plants that needed desperately to come out after they had bloomed and died. They also cut back ivy bushes that were out of control. This hill is very steep and they had to climb up with the heavy loads. We were so pleased with his professionalism when he did the bid and his price for the job was totally reasonable. There was no question when we first met him. I said, «Let’s go for it.» They arrived right on time and just took a short break. Can’t get any better than that.

One of Banyan’s yard professionals — Tim — takes care of our yard. He is wonderful. we love him. I asked Tim recently if he could trim our 6 or 7 Cyprus columns, lace out our Jacaranda and trim/​cut back a gigantic palm tree. Tim and Banyan (and another fella) showed up the other day to get this all done and they did a FANTASTIC job at a fantastic price. No reason for me to look anywhere else for anything yard related. These guys RockDiddlyOck!

Banyan is reliable, respectful, professional, and conscientious. We had another landscaper quit in the middle of removing our dead lawn, so we needed help quickly. Banyan was very responsive, and was quick to look at our lawn, write a quote, and complete the job. He and his employee paid excellent attention to detail and made sure we were satisfied. One of my neighbors even commented on what good work they did and how polite they were. I recommend Banyan highly!

Same as everyone else, found him on craigslist and now he’s routinely maintains my yard. Banyan is very professional courteous and prompt. Highly recommendable!!!

Same as everyone else here, we also had a wonderful experience with Banyan’s Landscaping. We hired him to skin and trim our huge Mexican fan palm as well as installing sod. He just did the palm tree today and it looks awesome. He is scheduled to come back later this month to do the sod and i have no doubt that he’ll do a great job there as well.
We spoke on the phone a few times to work out the details, he is very dependable and professional. I would definitely recommend him for all of your landscaping needs!

What a delightful experience!. Banyan is as professional, prompt and courteous as you could possibly imagine. He truly deserves 5 stars. He did everything we asked him to and more for the price he quoted us. He is studying horticulture in school and was unbelievably knowledgeable about different plants, bushes and weeds we had and how to significantly trim some of our overgrown plants without hurting them. You will be so glad you hired him. :)

We used Banyan landscaping to fix our sprinkler controller unit and for hauling some greenery. Banyan and Tim did an excellent job and went above and beyond. He was able to fit us in his schedule within a days notice. I would highly recommend Banyan to do any maintenance on sprinkler systems or landscaping needs. Banyan was very professional and easy to work with. Thank you Banyan for a great job!

I totally agree with Lynnda. I was impressed with Banyan from the time we spoke on the phone. Very respectful to me, listened and made me feel like we were a team in the project I had planned. He and his great worker (sorry I don’t remember his name) completed taking out sod, laying the flagstone and gravel in one day! And that included meeting him at Bedrock Builders and choosing the materials earlier that morning. The work is beautiful and we highly recommend Banyan for any of your landscaping needs. Thank you.
