History

Established in 2012.

In July, 2012 Balestra was founded with the partnership of Patrick Russell Burton, the former Station Manager of TritonTV of UCSD, and local filmmaker Linda Marie Skeens. Their individual and collective work has been circulated in national advertising, numerous galleries, and film festivals. It is their common goal to write and direct modern and innovative films around the world.

Business Owner

Linda Skeens has produced, directed, and filmed a wide variety of media with Balestra Entertainment, TritonTV, ArtPower!, and Demand Media Studios. She has a B.A. in film and a minor in economics from the University of California, San Diego. Skeens is currently in production of her next short film, «Five at a Time», which focuses on the inhumane treatment of domesticated animals.
