Dr. Leland is probably the best chiropractor ever! He has such a good personality and a good sense of humor. That you walk out of your appointment feeling great and happy.
Me and my husband has been going to see him for a while now. He only makes another appointment if he thinks you really need it. Doesn’t try to rip you off! Hands down the best chiropractor!

Dr. Feguson is the rarest of healers… exceptionally skilled, naturally talented and big hearted… and well priced! Very grateful for his extraordinary care.

Leland and Renee are amazing! I have seen a few chiro’s before and one pretty good one. Dr ferguson is wonderful! He really takes his time to make sure we walk out of there feeling great. I am so blessed to have found this office.

Dr. Lealand is the chiropractor I compare all others to. Before I started coming to Dr. Lealand, I had a long list of issues, most of which were the result of recurring injuries. Migraine headaches? Gone after several visits. Knee pain from arthritis? Barely noticeable within weeks. Neck and back pain from a car accident? Completely gone after about 2 visits. Along with a dramatic improvement in how I was feeling on a daily basis, I also noticed improvements in my posture, gate, and balance.
Since moving about 2 years ago, I have been unable to find another doctor as amazing. Dr. Lealand and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and truly care about their patients as if they were family.

I’ve been an athlete my whole life and have suffered my fair share of injuries, but when out of nowhere I hurt my back I knew I needed to seek help immediately. My co-​worker, who has competed in Iron Man Competitions, saw the amount of pain I was in and my struggle to even walk and immediately suggested that I go see Dr. Leland at Ohana Chiropractic because that was who he trusted with all of his back ailments.
I had never gone to a Chiropractor ever before, so I was a little nervous but I’m so thankful that I listened. I called and they were able to get me in immediately. I was greeted by Dr. Renee who was very kind and caring and helped me out with all of the paperwork. Then I was carefully evaluated by Dr. Leland, who was extremely professional and trustworthy. I told him that I was in excruciating pain, that it was incredibly difficult to walk or even sit correctly, I was scared that I had something really wrong with my back. Upon knowing this information, Dr. Leland ran diagnostic tests and carefully evaluated my range of motion to get a complete understanding of where and what my injury was and made light but necessary adjustments to my back.
After my very first visit, I was able to walk again and even stand upright, which was an extreme improvement from when I entered the practice. I would have 2 more follow-​up appointments that week, and 2 more in the following weeks after that. Every time I left their office I would have amazing improvements in range of motion and relief from pain. By my last appointment I had made a 100% recovery.
Not only did Dr. Leland help with my back issues, but we also discussed a previous ankle injury that was causing stability issues, and he recommended these wonderful orthotic shoe inserts to help with my overall balance. My workouts seriously have gotten so much better because of those inserts. I cannot thank Ohana Chiropractic enough for their wonderful service. I would recommend them to anyone, because in my eyes, they are miracle workers!

Dr. Leland is very thorough and gentle. I normally don’t like chiropractic but after a sports injury which resulted in radiating pain down both of my arms, I was desperate. After one adjustment and some acupuncture I made full recovery in just a few days. In my daredevil lifestyle, however, whiplash is a biweekly occurrence so I decided to go back for regular treatment. Very reasonably priced considering the service, Leland restored my belief in chiro again.

I have been going to Dr. Leland for several years now. He is knowledgeable and gentle. I went in today with my back severely out of alignment and he was able to adjust it in just a few steps. I walked out feeling SO much better. I almost always leave his office wondering why I don’t go more often! Dr. Leland is great… he treats your pain/​ailment professionally and gently.

I sit at a desk all day. A month ago, I was just completing work that had me pinned to my computer with barely enough time to go to the bathroom. Because the work had to get done, I ignored the ever increasing pain in my lower back and right leg. It got to the point where I was in pretty bad shape when I returned from a road trip to the Bay Area. It was excruciatingly difficult to get in and out of the car, painful to get up in the morning, painful to bend, period. I had shooting pains from my lower back down to my foot and from speaking with other people who have experienced something similar, I knew I at least had to see a chiropractor. I hobbled into Dr. Leland’s office wincing at every step and turn. Fast forward 8 sessions and 4 weeks later… the shooting pain is barely detectable and when I do feel it, it’s only when I’m sitting to stretch my leg and registers somewhere between 1 – 2 on a 10 point scale. I no longer limp. I walk and run easily. I can get out of my chair without a grimace. I rest well because turning and tossing in bed is pain-​free. I feel that my posture is better and I feel an overall improved sense of health and well-​being. Bonus points for also eliminating the neck/​shoulder muscular pain I had developed from poor sleeping position. I highly recommend Dr. Leland for providing a very encouraging and positive experience, but for treatment that is close to miraculous. Thanks to Dr. Renee as well for being supportive and making sure I get a warm and welcoming reception each visit.

The staff and Dr. Leland are just wonderful. I look forward to each adjustment. He takes his time with the patients to really help with healing. I have been going there for 2 years now and have referred many co-​workers to Ohana.

Stay away in my opinion. I went elsewhere and the chiro treatments are much superior and effective compared to Ohana. I am surprised that many have given good reviews. They dont know what they are missing: massages are much longer and ultra-​sound treatments are used to cure stiffness and pain in addition to bone alignment. I wasn’t any better after multiple (short) treatments but have done great with alternates.
Secondly, I am not a fan of someone who tries to push for their package plan. I felt Dr. Leyland to be very business like and not like a doc.
Lastly Ohana is the filthiest place you will see in San Diego. I thought I was in a 3^rd world country. The dog they have is sweet though but comes with it its problems!
I am glad I am out of there.

Best Chiropractor… too bad they don’t accept my insurance.

Very professional staff, Dr. Ferguson not only does adjustments but also gives instruction on how to prevent injuries and pain and works with physical therapy and massages as well. Easy to get an appointment and flexible hours that work well with business schedules. They also provide special consultations and massages in the work environment of nearby businesses and create a very pleasant and relaxing employee event.

Dr Leland is great! Although Im not a raving fan of buying the package deal for treatment. They were very accomodating with working with us to find a payment plan that worked for us. The care has been great and Im glad Im going.

My first chiropractic care happened in 2006 when I rolled my ankle playing indoor hockey at UCSD.
It was my first time ever injuring myself and I didn’t realize it was a sprain.
I couldn’t walk on it for 1 week, so I hopped on one foot during that week (this was my Senior year, last quarter at UCSD).
Then, suddenly my other ankle gave out… by week 2, it was painful to walk on both ankles.
The night I realized I couldn’t walk on both ankles, I asked him if he worked with Sprained ankles. He said, «Yes.»
He offered to come by my dorm and take a look. He worked with me for about 40 minutes. He adjusted my ankles, and put some blue kinesiology tape to prevent it from rolling again. Then said, «Ok, walk from here to here.»
I said, «What??? No way. I can’t.»
He said, «Trust me.»
Then, I got up. and Walked my first steps on two feet after 2 weeks on hopping on one foot!
I continued to get chiropractic care and replace the tape once/​week for the next 2 weeks.
I was able to walk across the stage on my graduation day…
(I was wearing blue tape on my ankles, but at least I didn’t have to use crutches). Two days later, I didn’t need the blue tape anymore. It healed properly! =)
During that time, he educated me on the benefits of chiropractic care, which provided good posture, increased strength, and prevent injuries like carpel tunnel, osteoperosis, arthritis, etc.
I’ve been getting care from Dr. Leland about twice a month since 2006, mostly because of the instant strength, release of stress, and burst of energy that I receive after a 15 min-​20 min adjustment.
He recently added the cold laser therapy this year, which pinpoints any area of my body that is not at the highest functioning and brings strength and increased flexibility instantly.
You have to see it for yourself.

I have been seeing Dr. Leland for over 2 months now as I have some chronic neck and back problems. My insurance only covered a fraction of the visits Dr Leland suggested for my recovery. I could have shopped around for another chiropractor that was cheaper, but once I got adjusted a couple of times I realized I did not want to go to anyone else that might not be as comforting or knowledgeable. I have always felt safe with Dr Leland making adjustments to my sensitive neck and he answers every one of my questions with easy to understand demonstrations and patience. He always ensures that I leave the office with little to no discomfort in my back and neck through a series of strength tests.
There are packages and payment plans that help those who need a professional to help them get out of pain and discomfort… and that is what Dr Leland is. Very professional, very nice and always caring. You are not going to heal from back problems after 1 – 5 adjustments.
My first diagnostic test was pretty bad with tension and heat in my shoulders and neck being in the red and black zones. Since getting weekly adjustments, massages and doing the recommended home exercises, I have finally started to feel like I can be more active again. My 30 day scan came back much better but still room for improvement… which I expected with my condition and high stress job.
I almost always prefer firm massages with a lot of trigger point, and I have tried many massage places in the past 5 years… it is very rare to find someone who knows how to manipulate your muscles and body to get to the right spots. All 3 of these ladies really know how to get where they need to relieve tension in other areas. They are also great at relaxing you and trying to make you as comfortable as they can.
I LOVE all three massage therapists, but I have to say Amy is my favorite… she is super sweet and is always trying to do her best to help break up my knots. She is awesome at trigger point or a just relaxing, fall asleep drooling massage. Ari really knows how to dig a good elbow in and when I cant take it anymore shes great at taking my mind off the pain– dont let her size fool you. shes very strong. Helen always knows where the pain is just by looking at my back and how the muscles move. Her wisdom really pays off when I dont even realize I am sore in other places… until she starts putting on the pressure.
I love the atmosphere, professionalism and care I receive at Ohana Chiropractic. The office is very nice and comforting with fresh tea or water. I arrive and leave with hugs and a smile on my face…

I was recommended by a friend and felt very welcome right away. My initial consultation scans showed my back was an absolute mess. I started to feel a difference after my first adjustment and everyone since then. Thanks Ohana!

Great service and i feel like a million bucks every time i leave. I woke up one morning and couldn’t move my neck. I made an appointment for that same day and was getting worked on within 2 hours. After Dr. Leland AND Dr. Renee put in some work on me i was able to go about my day virtually painless. Thanks guys.

This is the best chiropractic office in San Diego (and I have been to many) Both Dr. Leland & Dr. Renee have different techniques that work in different ways. Dr. Renee uses a very light touch activator technique which for my twisted spine works the best. She can also adjust my knees and ankles which as a cyclist I need a lot. But I also see Dr. Leland who has does both manual adjustments as well as some of the newest technology out there; some kinetic techniques, as well as laser machine. They also have this cool digital imaging computerized thing to help with diagnostics. Their massage therapists are also TOP Notch! I love Amy! and go to her often! You also don’t get that high pressure sales pitch that you do at some chiropractic offices. They truly care about their patients health and well being. I highly recommend this office.

There are so many factors when reviewing a holistic care office and rating from 5 stars doesn’t really give the reader a good idea… but I went with two stars to reflect my personal reasons for not going to this chiropractor.
I’ve been a long time advocate for chiropractic care and I have to say to Cee V. «one adjustment is def not enough…» but I do agree there may be a lil too much pressure about buying into the services.
Dr. Leland is nice and all but he’s just way too expensive. I have no bad feedback about his actual abilities but his cost is simply too high. He makes you commit to a very extensive adjustment plan, 2 – 3 times a week for me. which was about $ 120 a week??? I’m not made of money, and he didn’t take my insurance.
So just based on sheer affordability… me thinks 2 stars max.
