AT&T U-verse

If I could I would give them no stars. We have nine months of absolute horrible service. We go days without either no internet and tv, get someone out, they replace something and the next month its something else. Have had to scream and yell to get any kind of credit. Waited 4 hours for tech to show up tonight and u guessed it no show!!! At $ 160 a month and this type of service we r done. I hope this review saves someone time and stress… do not use their service!!!

Do not sign up with AT&T Uverse. Terrible Internet, customer service, and impossible to cancel. They put you on hold for over an hour hoping you just hang up. They also say you’re not in a contract when in fact you are. STAY AWAY.

If I could give them negative stars, I would. Loyal customer for 5 years, top tier package and they don’t care AT ALL! PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR AT&T SERVICE. My bill went up close to $ 55.00 and they will not change it. They do not warn you of increases. If you try to get a live person on the phone, well it takes forever and they either give incorrect information or a rude attitude.
THEY ONLY WANT YOU TO GO TO DIRECT TV. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS, WELL THEY BASICALLY TELL YOU: DON’T LET THE DOOR KICK YOU ON THE WAY OUT!

Worst internet service ever. I could be sitting right next to the modem and the wifi is so slow, I have to use my cell data just to load a new page. Do not use these people. I would give negative stars if I could!

I signed up for the AT&T U-​verse program for TV and internet I was told that I will get a total discount of $ 300 credited to my account. After going through months of litigation with them over the phone and being transferred in between the department Kama being hung up on and treated very poorly they told me that I was not eligible to receive the credits that they said that I would receive on their website on the date of signing up. Do not use AT&T they are a scam artist

After contract expiration, our bill more than doubled. I will be seeking other providers!

Stuck with uverse for Internet only. (Internet only was the same price as Internet and tv during the special). I was content with the service provided until they limited our internet usage. 600 GB per month for an $ 80 package. This is our first month with a limit, so I wasn’t sure how much we used. We’re going to be way over… Definitely cancelling this month.

Absolutely terrible. Customer service apparently doesn’t matter anymore. No call to let me know the tech was there, no call to make sure my service was working (which it wasn’t), and No help when I called back. They farm out calls to people who don’t care, they only worry about closing tickets. It would help to have employees who actually 1) speak and understand English and 2) understand what the issues are instead of blindly saying «we apologize, but we’re going to schedule you for next month». The second tech they sent out couldn’t even diagnose, much less fix the issue. Ended up cancelling my service, I’m taking my money to Cox instead. Miserable service, consider using another company.

Spoke to a customer rep this morning about setting up a new account for an address I just moved to. After asking the man the purpose of activation fees (as if I didn’t have a right to know what these fees are for), he became irate. Needless to say, things escalated and it ended with me telling him to go f-​ck himself, after he called me dumb for not seeing the savings in comparison to my last provider.
Picked up a phone and I’m now with Time Warner and paying less than his quotes anyway. It’s stunning how bad the reviews are for ATT and yet they have a stranglehold on so much of San Diego. I’m lucky I wasn’t in that situation, but I can assuredly say ATT will never see my family’s money. To the man I dealt with today, if we were face to face, we would’ve fought– it would not have just been an argument. Great job hiring reps, ATT and even better SOP having the most duplicitous pricing on your website too. THE WORST.

Horrific service!!! They are horrible from every angle. They customer service management hangs up on you instead of hearing your concerns! Wow time warner, I’ve missed you! AT&T I hope uverse is out of business because no one wants your internet!!! They sent a technician not only to the wrong address but with a different name and my phone number hahahahaha-​just embarrassing business practices.
Your technicians even thing you are a terrible service-​incompetence galore.

AT&T & THE GREAT AMERICAN RIPOFF

When, I wonder will the American people get fed up enough with companies like this, join together and put a stop to them?
This company cares nothing about its customers and is like unto a leech in that it is constantly on the prowl for flesh and it is never filled.
They lure their prey in with introductory rates and then they consume their victims with continuous tactics of finding new ways of sucking more and more money out of them.
WHY should the American people be forced to pay in excess of $ 100.00 per month? When cable was first created it was supposed to be commercial free. Remember that? Well now we get to watch our programs in between the commercials. AT&T and other companies providing like services realize huge revenues from those commercials but that is not enough for these greedy blood suckers. So each year they scheme on new ways to suck more out of the consumer (you and I).
Using their Uverse and Internet my «introductory» rate was just under $ 110.00 per month and I had to replace FIVE of their modems causing constant interruptions in service. One year later it is just under $ 200.00 per month and their staff is well trained to explain it away by telling their victims how much better the service is. A similar tactic as used by a leech to deaden the area from which they will feast on the blood of their prey.
Those responsible at the top including their shareholders surely deserve ridicule for they have no conscience, no sense of fairness or decency. Its all about profit and they do not care how they come by it. Yes, they deserve to make a profit but at what cost to their own customers?
I have cancelled all AT&T «Services». If everyone were to do the same then perhaps we could make a change in this country to stop companies like this from preying on Americans and get rates down to around $ 50.00 which is where it should be when you consider all of those commercials along with how many customers are being ripped off. Let’s see, how many Billions did they net last year? Again, just how much is enough AT&T?

From 11 – 1 today I sat around and waited for the tech to arrive. As you can tell, they never did. Then the customer service agent I spoke to said that they cancelled and they would be more than happy to reschedule when it suits my schedule as long as my schedule was only good on Saturday. And I my call was routed to the Philippines, so it’s like they know what is actually happening over here. One star is far to generous.

The ATT 1 (888) 492‑7297 customer service number kept me on hold 52 minute. When an agent finally came on the line he was rude and abrupt after I said I wanted to cancel my Yvette account. The agent the said He would transfer me which is a code word for we are going to give you the run around and try to frustrate you as much as possible because you are causing us to loose revenue.
The agent actually did not transfer me tithe department he said he was transferring me to, instead he sent me back to the automated prompter that attempt to screen all the casks gather information that you then have to repeat all over again when a live person comes in the line.
The automated promoter asked which department I wanted to be connected to. I pressed the corresponding number only to be told that department was closed!

The website was absolutely no help. I am going into the store tomorrow an canceling ALL my ATT accounts. It is just impossible to get good customer service with ATT???

Horrible Customer Service. The tech was a no-​show aven after we confirmed. The «customer service» rep said there was nothing she could do. We could not get through to Customer Service due to ‘the high volume of calls’. Find a different service provider. These people can’t answer simple questions, and they don’t show for their installation appointment
They are HELPING us by scheduling another appointment for five days from now.

I moved to Vista/​Bonsall nearly 4 years ago. U-​verse is not available where I live out in the country. I have land line phone service and wireless internet service with ATT. The time before this call to them today, I kept getting different people from the Philippines who had too much accent to be understood easily. It took several transfers and 1.5 hours later to negotiate a reasonable monthly price for my service. I requested to speak to someone in the retention dept. in the US. they could not help me with changing my bill. I was disconnected 2x so I had to start over. The last person with whom I spoke, Allison, in No. California, was very helpful. Why couldn’t I have talked with her at the very first? I wonder if people just give up first.
I just recv’d my new bill which was twice the amount it was supposed to be. This time I was transferred or given toll free numbers and spoke to 5 different people. Finally Alexa in the US was able to tell me that I would be receiving credit in next month’s bill which would put the cost where it’s supposed tp be. Why couldn’t a short note of explanation have been included in this bill so I wouldn’t have wasted 30 minutes of our time and my frustration!

Total disaster I bought the fastest internet they offer and my movie was spinning and stopping the modems had to be sent back twice then they would not let me cancel said I had a year contract FCC is going to get a letter about this… don’t go with Att They made me take the modem to the UPS store twice and when I got to UPS… The place was totally filled up with boxes and boxes of modems being sent back to ATT! The staff was obviously having a hard time keeping up with returns. Yikes what a nightmare.
GO WITH COX NSTEAD I just paid the fine to Att and got Cox contour I love the tv remote you can talk to it and search for Movies AND FILTER FOR «free to me» !!! Throw them all into your favorites and have a ball watching movies! Love cox and got the lowest internet speed with dual band modem for cheap and the thing is 5 g SUPER FAST and no problem downloading my Amazon Prime movies it is super super fast!!!

I lived in Oceanside for two years and used U-​verse the whole time. I like most cities you don’t have many options for internet providers so AT&T is who is defaulted to.
The Pros: Wireless receivers so you can put a TV anywhere, very cool. Whole house DVR, watch a show you recorded in one from in another also a feature I used and really like.
The Cons: The internet & TV went out daily. I’m not saying this as a figure of speak meaning it went out now and then, no I mean daily I could count on the internet going down! I work from home so I was always there to know when it happened.
Internet speed mediocre. For most people who just surf the internet you will be fine. I use FTP to upload and download website I work on and the upload sucked. It was about a third the speed of the cable provider I’m now using.
It’s expensive. When your experiencing issues and paying as much as we are it just stings that much more. Thankfully I now I live in an area with better choices. Bye bye AT&T.

I recently moved to the Fallbrook, Ca. area, were I was presented with ATT U-​Verse as an option for Internet/​Tv. I purchased a package based on Internet speed only to find upon install that that speed was NOT possible on their lines. Instead of cancelling as I should have, I agreed to the modest limitation. Since? One service call after another, until last week.
I’ve been without Internet AND TV for four (4) days and counting. Service? I had an AM appt. for yesterday… no show. I could go on…
This is FRAUD, pure and simple. Welcome to MONOPOLY!

If I could give Uverse a 0 star I would. I swear to god this company is half A** backwards. I had to call every single month due to the bill going up every for no reason. I can’t even count how many times their stupid boxes break and have to be replaced. And to top it off, after I finally decided I had enough and cancelled my account I find out a month later that the never flippen cancelled it and billed me another month!!! If their service was handled in the US, these issues would not occur, but by outsourcing cheap labor they get what they pay for and intern cause their customers headaches and loads of wasted time.
BTW Cox system is way better all the way down the remote with voice command. Internet is faster, service technicians are friendly and helpful and do things right the first time!!!

Nobody showed on installation day, so I spent half a day on the phone with some nice but poorly trained guy in a 3^rd world call center who had no authority to do anything.
Meanwhile they insisted my install date was changed and I should have know. Here’s the thing… I archive every voice and email message, but after reviewing all correspondence, AT&T never communicated a thing. Not the install nor any change.
The only reason I’m dealing with them is because I have no choice if I want DirecTV. But now I’m considering canceling the whole bundle.

Took them five trips to install service. What’s that worth in terms of stars to you?
Techs were nice, but customer support otherwise lacking. You can get better service and pricing elsewhere.
