Got the pastrami sandwich. The pastrami was dry, hard no flavor. You might get 2 oz of meat. Over all, if you like pastrami don’t come here, but if you like fresh blend juice drink do give it a try. Next time I’ll just get a blended juice drink.

The Acaí bowl I bought was pretty much ice blended with blueberries. I was spitting out chunks of ice every 20 seconds.

I always come here for their fruit salad with cottage cheese. The stuff the plate and the fruit always taste ripe and sweet. Service is always nice.

Stopped by this place while waiting for our food to be prepared next door. The stars are mostly for the product; the service was a little unusual. The guy taking my order seemed pretty young and I have no problem with that. He also had ear buds in the entire time though. Whatever he was listening to, he was really feeling so it was strangely startling to see him randomly make wild hand gestures or bob his head excitedly while silently mouthing unknown song lyrics and scrunching his face or scowling accordingly. He was nice but some customers might find it extremely rude to feel they only have half of his attention. I didn’t particularly mind, I was just worried he might not hear my order correctly or knock it over with his next arm thrust.

As I was walking around my neighborhood (golden hill) I made a resolution to start trying new places by myself and really get to know my hood. Just then, I was passing this little hole in the wall juice shop and thought, why not start here?!
Boy am I glad I did. The menu was a little difficult to navigate but I bucked up and just asked the man sitting in there what the best juice was. He explained to me a couple different options and they all sounded SO good.
The man behind the counter graciously let me try a bit of juice he just made for a precious customer (in a different cup of course!) and it was this little papaya, pineapple, and strawberry number. I asked for that one!
The juice had little fruit bits in it and was a slightly thicker consistency than what I was expecting but I really enjoyed it for that reason. My only wish was that it would be a colder. Be sure to ask for ice!
This has no sugar added, it was delicious, and the people there were super nice! Definitely coming back! :)

The fruit salads and tortas are fantastic! I certainly recommend. They have fair prices and food’s pretty filling. Super fresh fruits and vegetable which is definitely a plus. Smoothies are tasty too. Great place overall.

The service was terrible! The guy who served me — Julian was his name — had this tone and feel of not evening wanting to be there. I brushed that off. Then, it took 15 minutes to make my small smoothie! To make things worse, he served other people who came AFTER me before even making my order. I heard so many wonderful things about this place and am I seriously disappointed by the service.

I’m super impressed! I was bummed to leave our old neighborhood since I love señor mangos but we discovered this place tonight and the turkey torta did not disappoint! Looking forward to trying smoothies, juices and more. Very friendly service and great prices.

Stopped in to give it a shot. Pleasantly surprised with fresh ingredients and yummy food. The juice was great and tasty and the sandwich was good too. The service was fast and friendly. Definitely thrilled to find this gem.

Have you ever been tempted to rate one of your favorite spots low just so it stays secret? I’m tempted, but that would be wrong. So I’ll tell you — this is a special find. The juice is legit and delicious (unless you hate beets, then you’ll want the vampiro. Trust me). Also, CHEAP. Like, $ 5 for a huge juice.
The people are really nice, and I like that there is ZERO pretentiousness going on here (unlike EVERY other juice place in town)

I went a few weeks ago and got a large green juice and the lady working there blended it in a blender instead of using a juicer. Um… no. It was mostly ice and water instead of veggies which was really disappointing. The prices are great and I work nearby, so it would’ve been a nice spot for afternoon pick me ups but I guess the search continues.

The 1 star is for the yucky sandwich. I tried the 6 buck Italian sandwich. Epic fail! I added alot of condiments (lettuce, tomato, olives, etc)…it just sucked & tasted horrible! Happy trash can: /​I will stick to the breakfast torts, amazing fruit AND awesome juice!

at a great price this is not a trendy juice bar with price gouging $ 12 bottles of juice. This is a local juice bar serving up tasty fresh fruit smoothies!
Cant go wrong, they add a good amount of sugar to the regular fruit smoothie so if you like it a little sweet or no added sugar make sure you let them know.

Super good! I love the fruit salads and the juices they serve here! It’s small and they make everything to order so it takes a while, but totally worth it and cheap! Definitely recommend. The guys working there are super nice too.

My favorite fruit juicing deli, they always have raw and fresh ingredients, I always see what they put in my juice. The two gentlemen that work here are aware of what a customer likes. They ask me if I want ice in my juice, they put the entire juice in the cup. They are very friendly. My favorite juices are Vampiro drink and the green juice. I love how you can customize what you want in your juice. The fruit salads are very delicious they have cottage cheese and honey added to it. I still want to try their sandwiches and wraps. The area is very small to eat at but it is perfect for orders to go.

For a while, we had been meaning to try this little neighborhood gem. So finally one night, when it was too late for a full dinner and the thought of grabbing a pizza or food from a taco shop would of been one of regret, we remembered this spot and made our way over there.
Right as you walk in you’ll notice the place is quite tiny. You will basically want to get in your order and take it to go. Or if you do want to actually sit down, it’s gonna go down quick. No ambiance, really. But it’s not set up for that, anyway. What it is set up for is some quick wholesome yumminess. Starting off with their smoothies. I’m a big fan and they can do ‘em like I like ‘em, with no sugar, no OJ, no dairy. Just fruits and veggies, and that’s it. So when I read what was in the Vampiro, I went for it. It was a toxican of healthy, cleansing stuff. I was able to watch her put each ingredient into the blender, one by one and saw the raw goodness liquidify into a smoothie. As for our other order, it was a torta. Forgot exactly which one it was. But much like a true authentic, mom and pop’s, she did not skim on the fixings, including a huge whole half of an avocado. And when we got it home and he took a bite of it, let’s just say the face and the sound solidified how good it was. I did take a bite. You know, just to make sure. ;) Yep… it was mouthwatering good!
This place is just wonderful, no matter what you’re in the mood for. Whether you choose to drink «clean» or eat a hearty Mexican style sammich, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been here a few times tortas and smoothies are great usually and the fruit salads are my favorite. I never ask names but there is always a gentleman who is very nice.
My experience yesterday wasn’t so great. There were two ladies speaking Spanish to each other and one asked the other how much should she charge me for a bottled drink. The lady responded it was $ 1.50 but to charge me $ 1.99, not knowing I understood Spanish perfectly. I didn’t say anything just paid and walked out I want gonna argue over a couple cents.
When I got to eat my torta it was gross which I was surprised since I’ve had it before. It really makes me never want to go back however I will give them the benefit of the doubt since all my previous experiences have been good, just hope quality and customer service improves from my last visit.

The chicken torta is official here. One of the best I’ve gotten in SD. They asked me what I wanted on it, and I said do it how ever you recommend and it was delicious. Can’t wait to get back here to try the granola with fruit bowl and the vampiro.

But minus one star for forgetting the mango on my fruit salad half the time:(and cantaloupe once. Grrrrr.
The Pico fruit salad is great, just order it without the orange in it — seems out of place.
Fresh squeezed juices taste like juice. It’s kind of hard to mess that up. Haha
Fruit has always been super fresh and ripe tasting except once the mango sucked but oh well.
I like the chili powder they use on their salads and the proportion of lime. I tried to make one at home and theirs was better.
I don’t know why the other reviewers are complaining. I’m very happy that this place exists. The end.
Also — the wait has never been bad for me? And there are always 2 – 3 people working. And if there is a wait — who cares? Have some patience people!

Good experience, one guy does everything and it’s made to order. I’ve been sick and the orange lemon grapefruit juice was like magic sickie juice! I felt better, it was tangy and slightly sweet, but very refreshing. I got there when it was empty, service was friendly, it takes a little longer than pulling something from a drink machine of course, but I’d say I was in and out in five minutes. Worst part can be the parking lot due to the laundromat.
