Aloha Car Wash

brought my pathfinder in today to get it washed. I pulled up asked for the 9.99 basic car wash and the guy was like it will be $ 13 to wash «this» car. he then proceeded to say that it will cost $ 14 to wash it. I asked him why and he said «just because». nice try dude, you couldve at least said because my car was extra dirty or because it was an suv that it would cost more and I maybe would’ve paid. but instead by saying «just because», that doesn’t really work. Don’t go here and don’t give them your business they try to scam you.

I took my car here to get it cleaned and detailed. It was supposed to take 30 minutes. An hour later, I looked over at my car because I was wondering what was taking so long. I saw a guy sitting in the passenger seat fumbling with something. I just figured he was cleaning the inside of my car. When I got my car, I noticed the lock knob on my passenger side was broken off completely! I immediately told the manager. He called his detailer over, who insisted that he did not break it. The manager called me a liar in front of other customers and said that it was broken before… that I was just lying to try to get them to fix it. I was appalled. I had actually taken my car to them a year previous and they scratched up the inside of my window, but I figured it was a fluke and let it go. So… they damaged my car on two different occasions, then called me a liar to my face! Very unprofessional. PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW THAT THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THAT IF YOU TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, THEY COULD DAMAGE IT, AND IF THEY DO… THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO FIX IT OR MAKE UP FOR BREAKING IT. INSTEAD, THEY WILL CALL YOU A LIAR IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE!

I’ve only been here once, so maybe my review should be taken with a grain of salt, but let me tell you about the sorry state of my car when I brought it in. I wasn’t brought up believing in taking your car to the carwash. When it was dirty, you took the hose out and gave it a good spray down. If you wanted to get fancy, you got out a bucket, soap and a sponge. Unfortunately, I now live in an apartment away from home (where my dad would occasionally just spray down my car) and don’t have access to a hose. Adding to the sorry state of my car is the fact that my sister gave me the car about 4 years ago and the interior was a disaster. I kept telling myself I’d vacuum it out, but I haven’t.
For FOUR YEARS. I know. It’s awful.
So it hadn’t rained in SD in forever and I park outside under trees filled with birds… so finally I caved and went to this place cuz my friend recommended it. I got the most basic wash because I’m broke– plus a buck off just because I was a student. And the result? I was AMAZED. My car has never been so clean. They did a terrific job vacuuming the floors. I had never seen so much of my floor mats before. It wasn’t included, but I think they wiped down my dash as well. Maybe they felt sorry for me.
Did I mention that they wiped down the insides of the windows too? I also hadn’t done that (with anything other than a dry napkin after my friends decided to draw obscene pictures on the inside of my windshield… thanks guys…) in four years.
Anyways, I was super happy. For a mere $ 10, I got a hell of a lot. I’m definitely going to be back.

this place stinks. My sister took her car here and looked ok (considering her car is never dirty), they didn’t have to clean much.
Myself on the other hand… with a 1yr. old. My car is always covered in crumbs, milk splatter, toys, etc.
so i sent my hubby for the wash. when he came back he was pissed. the dash board was covered in dust, the doors weren’t wiped down and the center console was filthy. he paid $ 22.00 for the deluxe and all he got was a wash and crappy vacuum. STAY AWAY!!!

This car wash has changed hands it is now called maguires. This is the worst car wash I have been to, my truck was still dirty, It normally takes all other car washes an hour to clean, Surprise, Surprise it only took them 20 minutes. When I confronted them on the really poor job of cleaning, The person in charge had a could’nt careless attitude. I left with a dirty truck stating I would never bring any of my vehicles there again! And informed him that I would make it public knowledge they are no good and have no pride in customer satifaction. A total RIP OFF!

The Costa Verde one is closer to me, but as in my review for that one they suck. This place does a pretty good job. Once they are done, I can’t see any obvious spots or dirt unless I look really close. They clean out the inside and Armor all the dash. Basically, you want your car looking nice and clean, they do the job.
Bonus: the In-​N-​Out is right next door! And, if you bring in an In-​N-​Out receipt, they take off $ 2! Clean car and an excuse to have a nice greasy burger. That’s a win-​win in my book.

I’ve had difficulty finding a decent and affordable car wash in San Diego and I think Aloha may be the answer. I did not have to wait long and price was relatively low for a sit while you wait car wash. More than anything, I was surprised at the details they remembered to clean, such as vacuuming the center console, something that is frequently overlooked. My windows did not streak either from water on my side view windows, nor did my windows streak when I rolled them down, then up.
Although no car wash is perfect, I was very pleased with the result for the price.
