A To Z Metal Finishing

I had these guys anodize a large structural member for my boat. Going into it, I didn’t know at all what is required. Contrary to what others have posted, I found Victoria to be very helpful and knowledgeable on the process. They turned it around quickly, and the part came out looking good.

We have used A to Z on so many different applications from furniture pieces to large plate steel, etc. Ever since the management changed the quality and customer service experience also suffered. I used to go directly through Kent, who was a great businessman, respectful, and attentive.
I have had such an awful experience ever since he has left. Victoria is rude and does not work with her customers. Not to mention we have had to bring back parts two and three times to get refinished. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone for powdercoat or anodizing unless you want to come back multiple times to get it done right.
It’s unfortunate because I used to love coming to this place…

Can’t give ANY company anything but a 1-​star rating when they do not answer quote requests.
I sent them an online request (via their web site) for an anodizing quote for 2 front panels of a high-​end HifF system on November 3, 2014. To date (today is 11÷30÷14), no response…
I will not do business with a firm that doesn’t even answer their own web site email!
What more is there to say?

I’d give zero stars if I could, avoid these guys. Went in to get an estimate and was told a price for my job, went back to drop the parts off and was quoted the same price again and was told it would be done in 5 days. Had to go back in the next day because they had completely forgotten what they were to do, again quoted same price for the third time by Kent the GM and confirmed completion time frame. Gave then 4 extra days, went back 9 days later and nothing had been done, told it would be done in 2 – 3 days, 4 days later still not done. Another week goes by I get a call saying my order was done. Went in to collect it and it was only half complete, what was done was wrong and if I wanted the other half done it was going to be an extra 120% of the original price I had been quoted by the GM 4 times! Parts are now up at Electro Tech Coatings in San Marcos where I should have gone in the first place.
I will say the ladies at the front desk are awesome and were obviously upset by Kent’s treatment of me. They couldn’t apologize enough and did all they could to try and correct things. I will not be back and will be sure to let everyone in my motorcycle and classic car clubs know about the service here.

I needed two amplifier enclosures anodized and wasn’t sure where to start. Kent was extremely helpful in finding exactly what I needed (which ended up being a sealed, clear anodized finish). I received a courtesy phone call letting me know my item was ready for pickup and the item was expertly packaged to ensure it would survive the journey home.
The front staff is very friendly, minimum fee for work is extremely reasonable, the quality is top-​notch, and the turnaround was incredibly fast.

I was recommended to A to Z Metal Finishing by a local machine shop when I needed to have an aluminum workpiece hard (type III) anodized. I called and spoke to Kent, who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful over the phone. I was surprised to find out that on the day that I called, A to Z was able to complete my anodization the same afternoon that I called.
When I visited, the office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I opted to wait for my part to be completed, and felt very welcome the entire time. Kent came out and talked to me about exactly how I wanted the workpiece finished, and when I mentioned that I am kind of a geek, he was even kind enough to walk me through the shop and explain all of the steps that my workpiece would be going through.
I opted to wait for my workpiece, in part because Alesmith is right across the parking lot from A to Z.
All in all, I had a great experience with the company, and will definitely be using their services again. For reference, they offer anodization, powder coating, stainless passivation, Cerakoting, and several other unique coating services as well.
