Matt B did an amazing job. He was courteous and informative explaining ways to help my system run better and even showed me a filter I had no idea was in the attic.
Great technician to deal with. I will ask for Matt B again :)

Called ASI this morning in hopes that they would be able to send out a technician to fix my furnace today. Travis B. was sent out within 2 hours of the phone call and had my furnace up and running in no time. Travis was professional and very knowledgeable. Definitely will use them in the future and would recommend them to my family and friends.

We had ASI install all new ducting and replace our heating and air conditioning units. They amazingly completed everything in one day. We are extremely pleased with the price we paid the heating and A/​C equipment and the installation. Thanks White Glove Guys!

I am giving one star ONLY because ZERO is not available. They did call last evening to confirm my appointment for today. That is the only positive I have.
So, my appointment for estimate was today from 12 to 2. They did not show so I called them. If they can’t meet their schedule they should CALL ME. I was reassured that I was on the estimator’s schedule and that he had two appointments in Carlsbad but would call me when he was on his way. NO one called. It is 7PM and still no call. I made a call at 2:45 to see if they could give me any information. I was on hold for 5 minutes or more and hung up. I waited until 3PM and tried to call again to tell them not to bother. I was put on terminal hold again. I waited another 5 minutes or so, hung up and this will end my business with ASI.
IF I had read the reviews on Unilocal before scheduling it would not have happened. Seems like they have a hit or miss record. I happened to be in the miss record today. When they are good they are really good but when they are bad they are really bad.

I have used ASI for over 6 years. I trust their assessment of service and new equipment. We have installed air conditioning, solar and used them for service as well. I trust them and have recommended them to other neighbors/​friends.

I wish you could give zero stars or negative stars Worst customer service ever experienced called for repair on our unit they installed and got treated like we were causing a huge inconvenience to them they told us they could come out for 17 days that’s unacceptable for any customer let alone one that spent close to $ 15,000 on a unit less than eight years ago that heating unit should llast at least 20 years when we said you can’t come out sooner we are a past client of yours they said that was like eight years ago ma’am very rude very overpriced they do not deserve anyone’s business called a competitor they were out in one day…

ASI installed my air conditioner/​heater and now refuses to service it. I called to find out why and no calls have been returned. Customer service is not their expertise.

We were having problems with our heater so I called up ASI and in one day they sent us Tech Travis Bailey. Glad they did. Travis knows his stuff. He’s knowledgeable and polite. Luckily there was nothing wrong with my heater. Travis however took the time to offer a few helpful hints on ways to save even more money on our SDGE bill. If we ever have another issue, I’m going to ask for Travis.

Bill Haynes was a fabulous technician. I have been extremely happy with all of our ASI professionals. Thank you for your professionalism and care!

Chose ASI for three systems, to replace a 50 yr old furnace, install new air-​con, and solar.
I have nothing but good things to say about the ASI team, from the original phone contact, to the system designers and the installers. Every step of the way, they were great communicators, alerting me about arrival times, and explaining what work they would be doing on a daily basis, and sking if I had any questions. For the HVAC work, Robert and Jesus, and for the Solar work, Richard, Thomas, Nick B and Adam M were all terrific.

After several phone calls with customer service there is no resolution to my problem. I still have a gaping hole in my ceiling where they literally tore out the drywall. There is so much broken and damaged drywall that the entire ceiling will have to be redone. The contract specifically states ASI would «rough in» new drywall meaning they would patch but not finish the drywall and I would be responsible for finish and paint. I’m perfectly willing to live up to my end of the deal but I am not willing to pay a drywall company a couple of hundred bucks to fix what ASI left broken and damaged. Their customer service manager basically told me «not our problem.» Hey ASI: It will be your problem when I take you to small claims court!
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. I’m sorry I did.

I’m overdue writing this review: I called ASI («the white gloves guys») back in October during the heatwave, as our A/​C conked out at the very height of all the heat and humidity (Murphy’s Law). The person they sent out was this very young guy who looked over my outside A/​C unit and within 5 minutes declared it was out of freon. The good news, he told me cheerfully, was that the leak wasn’t coming from the unit itself. I’m not really sure how this was «good news» or how he was able to determine that the leak wasn’t coming from the unit in such a short period of time but before I could say anything, he said he’d fill up the unit with 3 pounds of freon and then he told me to «keep an eye on it» and to «call them again next summer.»
It took about 35 minutes from start to finish and the total came out to just over $ 300.00. I asked if the charge included servicing the unit and he gave me a blank look, as if I’d just asked him to complete my tax return or something. And then this very young (and presumably inexperienced) guy went on his merry way out the door. Buh-​bye!
5 days later, all the new freon leaked out rendering the A/​C unit disabled yet again. Rather than call ASI back — I mean, why throw go money after bad? — I called Howe’s Plumbing. They came over and *correctly* diagnosed the problem, *found* where the leak was, *fixed* it so that the A/​C is now working properly again and earned my ever-​lasting loyalty. Thank you Howe’s Plumbing!

Solar Installation, Excellent service from start to finish. Super professional sales and installation. Highly recommended and price competitive with the added benefit of knowing that you’re dealing with a San Diego company that won’t be gone if and when you experience any issues with your system.

Tom Yi recently made a service call for a heating issue. He quickly located the problem and
was courteous and professional. I would request for Tom again, if I have a service need for heating or air conditioning. I appreciate that the service guys wear booties and are good about any cleanup needed when service is completed.

I have scheduled winter/​summer check on my HVAC Unit 3 weeks ago for today. Paid $ 174.00 up front. Today, I didn’t receive service. I received a telephone call from the office after technician was scheduled to arrive. His truck had broken down and I would be rescheduled. I have to wait a week on December 23^rd or January. I believe and voiced my opinion that this is the oldest excuse on the books. I am not a priority. New business is a priority. I made arrangements to be home this afternoon.
I rescheduled. I question my choice.

ASI is highly recommended and the service is worth it.
In particular, Matt B was extremely professional and knowledge. Absolutely the best customer service. We will call him again. Fixed a sneaky furnace problem.

I’m sure these guys are pretty good at some stuff. But I called them to see why our heater wasn’t working. After inspecting they said it was shot and I needed a new heater to the tune of about $ 8000! No way. Called another place and they replaced the main control board for $ 850. Boom, new heater, Just saying…

They weren’t my first option (on account of the pure cheesiness of their TV commercials), but after getting frustrated getting quotes, a friend who had used them in the past recommended I give them a call.
Jason from ASI came over and did a thorough job scoping out the site and providing me with a detailed estimate of what needed to be done. He pointed out things that the other contractors had missed and it was clear that he understood how to do everything according to code.
Robert & Jesus did the install — I couldn’t be more pleased. These guys showed up on time and did a tremendous amount of work to install the new furnace and air conditioning systems in my duplex. There were a lot of setbacks given the age of the building and what was needed to do everything according to code — but they worked through it all and were professional in their approach.
My mother-​in-​law snickered when she found out who was doing the work (she also has seen the commercials), but after this job I am more than happy to recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC work.

2 ½ years ago my AC was acting up. After an inspection, the tech at ASI insisted 3 times that my unit was ‘about to die any moment’. «At best 2 weeks» he said… At a price tag of $ 2300.
Despite the urgency in his voice, this clearly this warranted a 2^nd opinion. Had a local start up to come out who noticed that all that was wrong was my thermometer needed replacing… at a price tag of $ 90. Without directly bashing ASI, the new guy agreed their business practices are unprofessional. I’m not the only who’s been misled, read the other Unilocal reviews.
If nothing else proves my point, this simple fact does: 2 ½ years later… my AC unit is still running like a champ. Not. One. Problem.
Given ASI’s ad budget, they’re drowning in $. They don’t even need to do this to customers. Thats the worst part.
Saw their commercial on TV the other night snubbing local start ups and thought I’d revisit my previous review to see if I was fair.
Yeah I’d say I was fair.
