5th and Broadway Garage

Wish I took the time to find parking else where but I was so impatient and hungry so I just turned in here.
$ 2 per 15 mins or $ 30 for the entire day. I only parked for exactly 1 hour and 32 minutes and they machine tried charging me for $ 30. I waited until the worker came out to acknowledge me. Told him my problem and that I should only be charged around $ 12 – 13. He ended up changing the price to $ 15… Better than $ 30, but his calculation was still off.
For future reference, I am definitely taking my one finding parking. Do not stop into this parking garage because they will gip you

What a horrible parking structure. Miniature sized parking spots smaller than the joke of Mission Valley malls parking. Extremely overpriced ($ 20 for the 40 minutes I was there = wtf?!). No prices listed anywhere. I assumed I would not get raped and trusted this company to only find out they take advantage of people and lure you in with no pricing listed. This is not ethical at all. Most places downtown are 20 – 25 for a FULL DAY!!! Avoid this place even though there aren’t many parking spots in this crappy area of Downtown. They need more street parking and less taxi parking. You’re better off Ubering to this part of Downtown and back if you live south or in East Village or Golden Hill. Prob 12 bucks round trip with Über versus rape fees in the parking structure. Whoever runs this should be hung upside down by his toes for a couple hours and dunked into tar.

What a crap parking garage. I just spent $ 20 for an hour and a half of parking. If you want to enjoy dinner for a few hours go elsewhere it’s a rip off!
The structure itself might as well be a closet because you can barely fit your car in. The place is grungy and spots are too small.
To enter you need to put in your credit card, you don’t get a ticket. My question is what happens if you lose your card? You’d be screwed.
I will never park here again that’s for sure.

First of all, there are no prices listed anywhere, you don’t get a receipt. As I understand the laws of California, that makes this a TOTAL ILLEGAL OPERATION. I thought «public» meant cheap right? Well guess what, $ 40 for three hours. My heart sunk as my wallet got thoroughly raped and it didn’t even get taken to dinner. At least when my boyfriend and I went to Whole Foods extremely hungry and accidentally got $ 40 worth of salad, I wasn’t hungry and had salad for days. *tears stream down my face* I just feel so abused. It’s not even a nice parking garage, it was packed and way too tight/​dangerous and of course smelled of the signature downtown hobo urine. Go around the block to the $ 10 flat rate parking that is peppered across downtown… you will feel less robbed. In fact, my friend went to Horton Plaza and paid $ 15 with validation for the same amount of time. Don’t make the same mistake I made.

My windows got busted in at this garage and there’s no cameras on the floor so they couldn’t help me with anything, and apparently no one heard my car alarm go off? Not happy at all, will not be parking here anymore!

The spaces here are way too small for average sized cars. Didn’t see any security coming in or going out. No advertised price. In fact didn’t know the rate until having to pay. Got charged $ 10 for an hour with no opportunity to validate.
This place is not worth the money. Park somewhere else and walk from there.

If you’re day parking, go elsewhere! You can find a lot for way cheaper! I’ve only parked here more than once because searching for street parking almost made me late to concerts at the house of blues.

Crooks with tiny spaces (that’s what the placard out front should say). Ridiculous we were told its $ 20 all day by guy in gate house. We wind up the tower of terror with 3 tiny cooper mini spaces a floor and park. Upon return we were charged $ 25. As we are checking out with the gate house clerk we ask why we were overcharged and he said «oh my boss he sees it getting busy so he raises the price.» Wtf? Never again Tony Dixon Location Manager.

Upon entering the parking there was a sign that said $ 15 and there was a guy giving people tickets as they entered. He said payment was to be paid when leaving. Later on at exiting, there was no parking attendant so every one had to pay at the machine, but the machine charged $ 20. The next day I decided to call the company to get a refund (which only bothered me, not just for the $ 5, but because I’m sure they had over charged everyone parking there under the assumption it was going to be $ 15). I called the number on the receipt ticket and it was «no longer in service as the business no longer exists». So, I go online to find the business that the structure is listed under, call them, no answer. I left a voicemail and no one returned my call. So far it’s been one shady guise after another. I do NOT recommend this place.

My best friend and I decided to park here because we were headed to the HOB and this parking structure was conveniently located right across from the HOB. YAY. When we got back from the HOB, my best friend’s car was BROKEN INTO at this parking structure between 9:15p-12:15a on a TUESDAY, on level five right next to the elevators. BIG BOO. If their security was better, I’m sure this could have been prevented. When we drove down to the exit and we met up with the security, while he noticed the smashed in window, he stood there as if he was not accountable or was incapable of doing anything! A few words were exchanged on how «he did not notice anything during his shift.» blah blah blah.
We asked for a refund since we paid $ 15 to get her car jacked and to pay for incompetent, incapable security guards, which was not granted to us BTW. So, what made this experience even more miserable and unfortunate was dealing with a not-​so-​secure parking structure as well as dealing with the poor service from security.

This garage is owned by Sunset. Monthly parking is $ 190. Security is great and super nice. There is riff raff here from time to time because House of Blues is across the street. Overnight parking is $ 28 for one timers. Elevators are down alot or not working right, but at least one is always good to go.

The parking garage at 5^th and Broadway is conveniently located in downtown San Diego, but at $ 2 for every 15 minutes, I think there are better places to park. Sure, it’s very easy to get to the Yardhouse around the corner, but you’ll probably spend 15 minutes circling this garage skyward looking for parking. Each level is very small, and the few parking spots are tight fits. Definitely not recommended for anything above mid-​sized cars, though some people manage to park their SUVs and pickups in here.
