Great guys. They installed a rear diffuser on my 2015 IS. Other shops were going to charge me around $ 200 since it was «complicated» but these guys got it done professionally and around an hour. Im from LA and drove 240 miles total just to get this installed. Truly one of the best body shops out there. Will be back soon to paint it along with a few other parts that need painting.

Just bought a new 650i, and I knew of 2m through a friend of mine. Decided I wanted to put a front lip and rear spoiler, and paint the trim. David and brent took great care of me, they took the time to explain all my options. I told them I only had about four days before I took off out of town. Brent went up to LA to pick up the parts the next day and they started working on the car the day after.
Very professional guys who have a passion for working on cars. Couldn’t be happier with their work. Paint on the trim looks great and the work on the body is great. The guys even stayed late to finish up the installation. Picked the car up at 9:30pm. Great guys who do great work

I had 2M paint and install an aftermarket front lip spoiler and rear trunk spoiler on my car. My car is a very rare color and is very hard to color match. 2M did a great job of making sure the parts were the right color, and installed properly. They even fixed a small fitment issue caused by a poorly made part so that everything looked perfect.
Note, they are not an earl schieb or maaco that just pounds out paint jobs as fast as possible. They’re a small, family-​owned shop that takes their time to make sure each job is done correctly. So, don’t expect to show up and get everything done in 2 hours. Perfection takes time.

Was told to bring the car back to fix the improperly re-​installed bumper and witness the condition in which they gave my car back to me. He told me to bring the car in at noon. I said I’d be a waiter and he said that’s fine and that they weren’t busy. I showed up.
I also showed him the dirt still on my car and all the smear marks where they ground in the dirt when they washed my car the night before (in almost total darkness). I told him it needs to be polished out and I would do the wax. His response was «I’ll talk to my guy,» which is his way of blowing me off. He then got irritated and told me it would be 4 hours! So like an idiot, I bit the bullet and went for a jog and ate at Dennys. I came back 3 hrs and 45 min later and my car had not moved. No kidding.
I then waited in the reception area for another 15 minutes cause no one is ever there (as stated in another review). He then comes out with a drink and his lunch and says «oh sorry, my guys gonna take a look at it right now.» He then sat at his desk facing me, doing something on his computer and ate his lunch. I could see now that I was getting the proverbial middle finger. 15 min later the worker said it’s done, went and looked at it and they f-​ed up my car by trying to raise the tail light and ended up chipping the very end corner of my bumper, possibly by trying to use some kind of pry tool to raise up the headlight while tightening back down the set screws. Note that this chip was exactly 7 inches away from the scratch I had them fix in the first place.
Of course the guy then said «we can’t take account for that» and immediately just walked off. His brother then came out, I told him that the bumper now needs a repaint and he blew me off as well.
I checked Unilocal before I took my $ 39,000 new car there (4664 miles) and dismissed the negative reviews because they have some good ones as well. Holy Jesus Christ on a bicycle, was I wrong. I gave up my battle, and they didn’t charge anything, but now I got my car back in worse condition than I presented it to them in. I’m writing all this because I believe in Unilocal and believe in helping other car enthusiasts like me with nice cars. My car is show worthy, believe me (only 500 out there).
I had an uneasy feeling from day 1, when they didn’t look over my car at all when I initially dropped it off. At good shops, they look over your entire car very carefully to note any current damage or flaws, which 2M doesn’t do. Also at 2M, they do written quotes that are literally 1 sentence long with a basic header and no warnings or disclosures. It is not itemized like good, legally organized and legitimate shops. That is extremely shady and legally to their advantage. Think about it. And they don’t even defend themselves on Unilocal.
I witnessed 2 of their friends show up in BMW’s and shoot the crap on a Friday afternoon and seriously think a lot of the 5 star reviews on here are bs. I’ve been there 4 times for 1 scratch. Their floors are dirty, bathroom especially nasty. I took a leak all for occasions I was there in over a 2 week period and I noticed they never had any toilet paper. They must like to unclog toilets when people wipe their ass with paper towels and don’t want any female clients either. All this is called a clue, showing you that they will shit all over you and stand there and tell you how good you look in brown.
Like Robert B. said in his review… stay away from 2M. Not only do they have very low standards, they also don’t seem to care. And that pretty much sums it up.

I had a great experience with 2M Autowerks. They did some custom bodywork on my car and the results were absolutely fantastic. Would highly recommend to anybody needing custom work done on their car!

As close to perfect as you can get, whether it’s a show-​ready sports car, a custom low rider, or your humble daily driver. Good work is not overnight, so don’t expect for everything to come immediately. They are a busy shop, which is a testament to their work, but they always find time to accommodate. And look no further if you have an E46. David and Richard are not afraid to help you push the boundaries with your build, and often encourage it, and Brent is very knowledgable about both cosmetic and performance modifications. Brent has every hookup you could imagine, and knows just about everybody in the business. Antonio and Ricardo do magnificent body work, and can make any accident look like it never happened. 2M will not fail to impress, as long as you know that it takes time. Look no further.

If you want perfection, this is the place for you. Group of ⁴⁄₅ guys that are car enthusiasts. (keep that in mind since they do have their own builds and 10 – 20 customers at any given time to think about). They will do what you want, and they will do it right. Keep in mind perfection takes time, and you can’t rush these guys or else the end result will look rush. They are honest and very accurate with their estimates. 2M is the only shop that I trust with my car.
I had a custom widebody (one of a kind) done on my S197 Mustang California Special. Something no one has ever done yet David and his crew made it seem routine and made it come out better than I could ever imagine. They are not afraid to give their opinion in an effort to make your car look as clean as possible. David gave me a confident quote and kept me informed all the way. If you have any question if 2M is qualified, just look at Richard or David Mendoza’s cars. They are all done by them, and are absolutely gorgeous. When it comes to body work, custom work, fabrication, or body repairs; 2M is the only place I will go.

This place rocks! david at 2M Autowerks helped me with getting my car up to par. Excellent customer service, anything you need from getting body work done, paint jobs, suspension work, wheels, tires etc, these guys got ya! Come by anytime these guys will help you out with any concerns or questions regarding your car.

I had to bring my car here to get a dent and a scratch fixed. The car shop I go to referred me to these guys. Since these guys were only a couple blocks away, I’ve decided why not right?
The shop is right by Miramar Road where Group 5 Motorsport used to be. It’s pretty easy to find. There is no front side parking so you have to pull into the side towards the back of the shop. You could probably also park by the curb. The inside of the shop looks clean and professional. All the guys seem pretty cool.
When I came to pick up my car, they did a really good job making the damaged side look as good as new. So you’re probably wondering why I’m only giving them 3 stars. Well I’ll explain why.
Originally, I came here to get my big dent fixed. That part only took a week so no big deal. Then I decided to also get the large scratch on my quarter panel fixed. David gave me a sweet deal and took a couple hundred off to get it fixed. So I said okay let’s do it! Everything went downhill from there…
David said my car would probably be finished next week. So I planned accordingly to my busy schedule. I also asked him to see if there are any other very noticeable damages anywhere else on the car that could also be fixed. I asked him to call me back next week about that, but he never called back. So the following week (week 2) I called on Tuesday, and Brent said my car would be finished earliest on Friday that same week but most likely will be finished next week. So the same week I called on Friday to get an update. I called probably a dozen times and wondered why no one was picking up the phone. I got a little frustrated and decided to drive up there and little did I know, they were closed that day.
The following Monday, I called again to see if I can get an update. They explained to me that they went to a car show on Friday. Okay that’s cool, but why tell me my car might be done on Friday when you’re going to attend an event? It doesn’t make sense, so I wasted my time and gas (borrowing a large truck) to drive from North Park to Miramar. So anyways, they said my car would be done sometime this week (week 3). I didn’t even give them a call back until Thursday. I talked to Richard that day and said they would work overtime to finish my car and that I could swing by around 6 — 6:30pm. So I drove to Miramar around 6pm and right before I turned on the street, I got a phone call from him. He says they won’t be able to get it finished that day and they’ll work on it tomorrow because they have other priority projects going on. By that time I was really pist off because I wasted my time and gas driving up to Miramar. Now it’s going to take me an hour or more to get home due to southbound traffic. That’s terrible communication to your customers. He could have at least called me earlier to tell me that my car won’t be finished before I drive up there on the time he told me to arrive.
The following day, I finally got my car back. I noticed that they didn’t clean the car and was still dirty after they buffered it. They explained to me that the reason why my car took so long is because they were prepping up for a car show coming up soon somewhere in LA. Okay cool I get it, but luckily I was borrowing a beater truck from someone else instead of having a rental. It would have been a pain in the ass to have to keep asking the rental car company to extend the days for the rental car if I went that route. It would have been better if someone would have told me that my car will take several weeks to finish due to priority projects that need to be finished. That’s really all that needed to be said, and I would’ve been totally okay with it so that way I can schedule accordingly.
The work they did on my car was very good. The guys who work here are nice and honest. I got a good deal on my quarter panel. I’m not sure if I would come back though. I really want to like this place, but the service I received was unforgiving. If I do come back to get work done on my car, I won’t expect anything to be done on time and will try to have a more flexible schedule.

I was sick a few months ago and was in the hospital. I came out and saw they hit my baby when it was parked. After the insurance gave me a check to get it fixed; I took it to 2M because I know they do the best work in town for a good price. I dropped off my M3 pieces that needed to be painted on Monday night at 5pm. Richard was the one painting my car and they told me it would be done around Friday. San Diego has a huge storm and it wasn’t ready then. I called everyday to check the status. On Tuesday the following week my baby’s parts were painted and ready to be installed. At first, inside the garage the paint didn’t seem to match that well. It looked a lot lighter to me. Once they put it in the sun I was in shock. The paint was the best I have ever seen! The metallic flake of my titanium silver looked creamier and shiner than brand new. I soon got sad again because now I needed to paint the whole car. The amount of detail put into this paint job and TLC made this my permanent shop in San Diego. They also went the extra mile and touched up some bad spots on my exterior. Richard and David are master craftsmen. I feel like I should have paid more for the work I received. I’m now ready to put my sexy E46 M3 in cleanest car competitions. If your in love with your car like I am. Only take it to them!

So I have a E46 that I been working on, and been looking for a shop that has bmw parts, wheels, and more. I drive by this shop everyday on my way to work and finally had time to stop by.
Well lets say it’ll be my first, last, and won’t recommend them to anyone I know. I walked inside maybe waited close to 5−10min, and nothing. There was no one to be found, and it sounded like the workers were maybe in the back having fun from what it sounded like. Worst customer service ever! Even when I walked out and still no one.

I brought my car in last week with a rear valance to be painted and installed. The customer service was fantastic and accommodating and their work top notch. It looks like a factory bit that came with the car. I’ll most definitely be doing additional work with 2M, close, convenient, and professional!

Have my BMW service this morning and I cannot say enough about how much I enjoy professionalism. Very punctual and accountable. My car today require the removal of my headlights and it was done in about 1.5 hour and the installer took time telling me the process. In the past they have painted my bumper, eye lids, hood, and skirts. Always top notch w/​customer service and affordable/​competitive pricing. We def need to support local business like this!

This place was the most unorganized place. car was still in pieces when they said it would be done. Wired mirrors up wrong. Chipped painted a month later. This place is ran very poorly. However they did a good job on fixing the fiberglass repair on a piece of my car. Here is a quote from a friend about their work «. I thought you painted it yourself. I would have went back and throat punched whoever called that a professional paint job. The car is gone but yeah the front was chipping bad and had I knew you had a shop do it I would have said something but if you do it yourself you can expect that.»
Don’t go there!

2M was referred to me by a friend of a friend named Khoa when I needed some parts to be painted on my old Acura RSX. I stopped by some time around January 2010 when they were barely setting up shop at their location, but they were still able to provide excellent service. I believe it was David who helped me out and guided me through the whole process. He never kept me out of the loop and always kept me updated through phone call, text, and email; laying out a time table and sending me pics of the soon-​to-​be finished product. Everything was flawless and better than I had expected. It’s great to see other positive reviews on their business because their work is that awesome. Even though my review is from the past, it just goes to show that a good impression can last a lifetime. I will definitely have my next car worked on by 2M in the future. Kudos!

A hit and run accident led me to this auto body shop. I filed my insurance claim, and based on what I heard about their work through my BMW mechanic, decided to take my check to them.
2M’s pricing was so much more reasonable than the other shops I spoke to, and the owners were 100% upfront and honest. They also gave me the option to choose the paint materials to suit my needs and budget. Because I didn’t want mismatched paint, I opted to pay extra to get the entire car painted.
The finish looks like glass. A+ work. I also had them repair a few door dings, and paint my factory wheels. They’re super easy to deal with, and obviously good at what they do. Turns out they also offer all sorts of aftermarket parts including wheels, suspension and exhausts, so I’ll definitely be working with them in the future.

I brought my Lexus into 2M Auto Body in June 2011 to repair some front end damage from a collision. I was very impressed with the attentiveness of the service technician and with the overall communication from the facility. I received periodic emails including pictures of the damage found during dis-​assembly and descriptions of what work was being done, including revised estimated completion dates. When I got my car back, the quality of the body work and paint were both excellent. I would definately recommend 2M Auto Body to my family and friends and will be back for future services. Keep up the good work, guys!

Best body shop in san diego, everyone there was really helpful and answered all of my questions. i am really picky with my car and im the type of guy who needs to know everything. they took care of me and my car i definitely would not take my m3 anywhere else.
the turn around time was what they said it would be and they always kept me informed of the progress. they even took an extra step to text me photos of the progress. i couldnt be any happier.
