2009

In the spirit of Yvonne’s no nonsense bullet points, here’s why my 2009 was stellar:
THINGS I DID:
— met my fucking awesome girlfriend
— lived a stone’s throw from the beach ¹¹⁄₁₂ months
— drank a lot of wine
— ate a ton of sushi
— got a kick ass job after being laid off
— spent the entire summer at the beach while looking for work =P
THINGS I DIDN’T DO /​EVADED:
— avoided jail time /​being stabbed
— no STDs
— amazingly, did not lose my wallet, shoes or dignity while out drinking
— didn’t puke or run down Garnet wearing nothing but boxer shorts (thank you, 2008)
2010. I am ready for you, but are you ready for me?

Meh 2009.
I gained 400 poinds attending events and eating and drinking my way into oblivion.
My hubby got a job and then got laid off 7 months later and is still looking.
The worst part was that I didn’t get to go to Cabo.

2009 Summary:
Cons:
— After years of serious abuse, my ankle inexplicably fractured, making me an invalid for 3 weeks;
— Lost my wheels for a little while;
— My trusty iPod fried after I was hit by a summer deluge;
— Lost some friends;
— Drank a ton
Pros:
— My job is great;
— After moving home for a couple of years to help with some family biz, I moved back out to a great neighborhood;
— Put together a pretty boss stereo system with help from the Audio Jedi;
— Hung out and had fun with some of the really great friends;
— Took a solo trip to NYC and had one of the best vacations I’ve ever had (even though I fried my iPod);
— Lost some weight;
— Drank a ton
—
I have my health, I am surrounded by great people, I love my job and I know how to work hard and play hard.
I can’t really complain, because things can only get better from here.

It was the year I bonded with San Diego
Got to know my new co-​workers
Not have to use my GPS all the time
Made some good friends
Met some cool ass people on Unilocal
Didn’t go to Jail
Met my Hunny
Fell in lust with Carne Asada Fries and Phở
Didn’t have to use my A.K.
Just been a happy year and have big hopes for 2010… so bring it!

I’m a positive person so I’m going to be nice and rate it a good year, other than towards the end of the year, I can say it was a good year overall…
First of all…
–Big Bear to start off the new year
–Vegas with cousins and friends
–started hanging out with a friend from HS who moved to LA
— Celebrated my 1 year wedding anniversary in a hot air balloon, Costa Rica & Nicaragua, can’t complain
–went home to Boston for the summer
–San Francisco & Sausalito
–Napa Valley & Sonoma Valley wine tasting
–Catalina island
–wine tasting bus party in Temecula
–went to the ALDS game
–Palm Springs & Disneyland for my birthday
–Japan
–Ireland
–Colorado
Not to mention, I met some great people and I can start trusting again, I tried hookah for the first time, got accepted to grad school, went paragliding, bought a new SLR camera, discovered that I’m terrible at golf, can kick ass in jujitsiu and I became a Unilocal Elite, so ok, it wasn’t a bad year… it was a rather great year.

JANUARY: I survived my company’s 10% Layoffs and Wifey survived her’s…YAY!
FEBRUARY: Some asshole cuts a hole in my convertible to steal $ 2…F#$& You!!!
MARCH: After 7 years, my wife decides to eat meat again! Puts away a 10oz Filet Mignon on Day 3… YES!
APRIL: When you work in Financial Services like I do… Tax Season SUCKS!!! (But at least I still have a job…)
MAY: My Vegas house officially becomes another Bank-​Owned Victim
JUNE: Turned 31… getting old… And we lost Michael Jackson…“Don’t stop till you get enough!“
JULY: Enjoyed a 11-​Day Vacation at ComiCon and a Carnival Cruise… YAY!
AUGUST: «SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR GERMAN BALLS!» –Sgt Hugo Stiglitz from Inglourious Basterds
SEPTEMBER: Patrick Swayze… R.I.P. «Nobody puts baby in a corner!»
OCTOBER: I got a mini-​promotion and a raise in this economy? and I work at a brokerage firm… YAY!
NOVEMBER: CHUN P.‘s fabulous 4-​pack abs make a come back after 7 years… but I miss Beer! :(
DECEMBER: Nutcracker was good times… but NYE was nearly a bust… BOOO! But as an elf, I remind everyone to stick to the four food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup!

Simply stated by the two stars «Meh, I’ve experienced better».
Ironically 2009… enters Unilocal.Otherwise it maybe closer to «Eeks, me thinks not».
2010… I’m hopeful those stars will at least double. I really want to be able to say «Yay, I’m a fan» and so far, it’s looks to be heading towards that direction. Had a great NYE and a pretty good weekend. The Lakers are on top. Yesterday got ROTD. Career and business looks promising. Have my family and good friends for love and support. Then today, I got my shiny new ’10 badge and wrote this first review of 2010.
For the not so great details of 2009, I’m done with it. Don’t care to go through another one of those.
But, 2010. yeah…so far, so good! I have a good feeling about you! *crossing fingers and looking above*
Plus, the lip balm fortune teller at the Unilocal LA Elite Event told me so! ^_^

Oh 2009. where do I begin!!! It flew by so quickly!!!
The highlights and lowlights:
–Broke it off with my bf of 2.4 years ~ for the better
–Attended my first FAP concert to finally meet and watch talented artists such as Passion and Gabe Bondoc (so cute!)
–Finally took a much needed break and let loose @ a bachelorette party — VEGAS style
–Stayed @ the BOOTYful Encore in Vegas and partied non-​stop @ the unforgettable club, XS for EXCESSIVE fun
–Bought my first real pair training/​running shoes for my first marathon — no messing around here
–Reunited with my cousins and relatives from my mom and dad’s side that I haven’t seen in ages
–Found a new love: Spin Class
–Became a member of Unilocal and surprisingly elite status all in 2009
–Got in the best shape of my life — Still working on that six pack though (more like 4 pack. hehe)
–Got to meet some interesting, fun, and new peeps
–Spent Christmas as a whole family for the first time in a long time (bro is back!)
–A lot of growth and soul searching
–Reconnected with an old friend =)
–My parakeet, Princess passed away — may she RIP
–Still @ the same job, but grateful to still have one
–Got sick twice back to back and thought I was gonna die from swine flu, but never really had it
–I cried more this year than the last 2 years — both for good and bad reasons
–I deleted my Twitter and Facebook and still kept Myspace (I didn’t fall into the craze)
–Attended a friend’s wedding — I LOVE weddings! It was MAGICAL just as it should be. =)
–Fell in love with Diego Luna
–LAKERS are on a ROLL!!! ~#1 baby!
–Enjoyed my independence (and still am) more than ever!!!
All in all, there were more highlights than lowlights from 2009. I can’t complain though, I’m still healthy, optimistic, and enthusiastic about life as ever. 2010 is starting off well. new changes are on the horizon. I can feel it and I’m STOKED!!!
