Ana Maria is the best! Period. She knew exactly what to have me try on, unlike some other bridal shops. The woman knows her stuff and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’m not even sure I was there an hour and I had my dress. Thank you Ana Maria! Great service, selection and prices. What more could you ask for.

We just bought my wedding dress here today! Naomi met with us 2 days ago (Friday) for an appointment. After trying on about ⁶⁄₇ dresses, Naomi learned my style and pulled the perfect dress for me! We of course needed to think on it and set up another appointment for tomorrow (Monday). I couldn’t stop thinking about that dress so I called this morning (Sunday) in hopes of coming in today last minute. Wendy, the seamstress, was able to meet with us so I could try it on again and go over alterations. It was all perfect!
Both times coming in I felt so comfortable and not pressured. I’m so happy with Naomi and Wendy! Naomi was nice/​fun and a great consultant and I am very confident in Wendy altering the dress. I’m SO happy with this whole process.
Of course I will update this more after I have the fitting and alterations, but my nerves are completely put at ease :)
If you’re like me and want a simple, comfortable dress-​buying experience, look no further! They have a TON of dresses! And they are all so sweet! Thank you 2000 dreams!

Fixated on a Sophia Tolli Spring 2016 gown made it difficult to buy anything else. Andrew got the dress before anyone in LA, called me Saturday, I drove to SD on Sunday. It was it! I said yes to the dress at 2000 Dreams and got my veil too! I could have bought my dress elsewhere, but the customer service and follow up made me want to support this awesome establishment.

I bought my wedding dress from here. We had a 2 year engagement and started looking for my dress about 6 months in. David’s bridal was a nightmare. After looking on Unilocal I found 2000 dreams. I came here showed pictures and gave a budget of $ 1600. She guessed my size and pulled everything that matched my pictures except for one dress. I tried on 1 of the prettiest pulled and immediately after went to what she pulled for me. I instantly loved it, purchased it and refused trying anything else. Not to mention it was less than $ 700. I also found the bridesmaids dresses here which were gorgeous. The quality here for the price will not disappoint. All of the staff are sweet and genuine. You aren’t served mimosas upon arrival etc. but you get great prices and people who remember you. The selection of bridal gowns is large. Bridesmaids as well. Those were a bit pricey $ 175 due to lace and long length. I also has my alterations done here. I was very nervous due to the dress being a satin material, mermaid style but more so trumpet bottom and excessive pulling in my hips! A week before and my alterations were perfect. You couldn’t tell they let out seems in the hips and brought in at the bust. The bustle came out amazing and the dress hit the ground perfectly. All night dancing and I never felt that anything was slipping etc. I also purchased my veil here. It was beautiful but over priced. I would suggest buying off etsy months in advance for $ 60 or less compared to $ 200. Alterations were $ 500. Which seemed reasonable for what I needed. However with the veil it ended up being more than my dress. I explained to her I would have to buy a smaller less extravagant veil as I couldn’t justify alterations and my veil being more than my actual dress. She said not to worry and took off about $ 80. She was very sweet. They are honest and helpful. Will def go back for any other dress needs

What a great experience I had here with my daughter. Incredible selection of dresses at good prices and excellent service. Our consultant really listened to my daughter and showed us beautiful dresses in my price range. I highly recommend this shop.

I have chosen my wedding gown from Maggie Sottero website and chose 2000 dream as retailer to order that for me just because of the Unilocal good review. They did not have the gown available at store so I went to other store to try that on. I loved the dress and went back to 2000 dream to order. They were very nice at the purchase day but after that for Alternation they made me crazy and made me cry. Their seamtress, Wendy is not professional at all. She is very expensive and will not listen to you. They are very scared to apply alternation to your dress, they just get 400 $ for doing nothing. Please do not use their seamtress and do not alternate your gown with them.

I came here to get my wedding dress last year and I had a great experience! They have a great selection and the staff are all very friendly and approachable. They were happy to help me get into the wedding dresses when I was trying them on and they were really good at clipping it back so that I could see what it looked like. When she got an idea of what I was looking for and my budget, she was able to suggest a few other dresses that I might like. I ended up choosing a dress that she picked out for me. I had already tried on a Casablanca dress that I liked, but the one she pulled out was even better! It was also a Casablanca dress but it fit me so perfectly and made me like so great! They were knowledgeable about sizing and ordering the dress was an easy enough process. They also have veils and other shiny accessories there, like beaded belts or hairpieces. I got a veil that matched my dress well. They ordered it and I went back again a few months later for the hemming and fitting. The seamstress that did the bustle and fitted my dress did an outstanding job! I looked so stunning in my dress on the wedding day! Before the wedding, they steamed it for me and kept it in a nice dress bag so that I could transport it easily. I loved the service here and have been recommending my newly engaged girlfriends here to find their perfect wedding dress!

I debated whether or not to write a review for 2000 dreams, but after going with a friend to try on dresses today I definitely felt it was warranted. I bought my dress from 2000 dreams back in September after having first been in with another friend a few years back for her final fitting. Their selection is incredible and the price range of dresses they offer was great. Both Jasmine who helped me with my appointment, as well as the woman who helped my friend today were very knowledgeable as well as very conscious about staying within both of our budgets.
Honestly, I was most impressed with 2000 dreams during both my and my friends experience when it came to the end of the appointment and we had to choose whether or not we were saying «yes to the dress». In my case, I knew I’d be making a decision that day as my mom had flown out from Florida to help me shop. That being said, I didn’t feel pressured to buy something I didn’t love. In fact I found a dress that I absolutely adore that was very similar to another dress that I liked a lot that was 2x the price at another store. In my friends situation her appointment at 2000 dreams was her first time trying on dresses and didn’t have family with her to help her decide. The lady helping her (I feel so bad I can’t remember her name) was so sweet in explaining that she didn’t want my friend to feel pressured and was happy to write down the information on the dresses she liked so she could think it over and talk to her family before committing to a dress.
I read a couple of reviews that said the sales people here were pushy, that they cut the labels out of the dresses so you can’t comparison shop, etc. this absolutely was not the case for me or for either of my friends who I’ve been with while they’ve tried on and purchased their wedding gowns from here.

I’m so happy I bought my wedding dress from 2000 Dreams. The are one of the best bridal shops in San Diego; from the first moment you walk in, all the way to the last moment you pick up your perfectly fitted wedding gown.
I must’ve visited every bridal shop located in SD at least 3 times each, and out of all of them, I trusted this place the most. They aren’t pushy and definitely allow you to take your time to choose the perfect dress. I never felt that they were trying up-​sale me or trick me into an awful looking dress just so they can make money out of me. Just that alone, speaks volumes as to what their shop values the most.
Ask for Ana Maria and she will take great care of you! If she’s not available, don’t worry because I’m pretty sure any of the girls that help you out will be able to do an amazing job.
It’s also a plus that the seamstress is sweet and does a flawless job!

Anna Maria was PERFECT! She reminded me of every favorite woman I have ever encountered in my life. My daughter got engaged in Maui a few days earlier and we had continued our vacation in Southern California. Her fiancé and her decided that they are having a short engagement and want to get married in November 2015.
My daughter and her fiancé live in Georgia and our only opportunity to find a dress would be on this trip, so we went to Unilocal and called Anna Maria, who said come on in.
We walked in and explained our situation and she immediately selected dresses. We had told her to please pick what she thought would look good and what would be available.
The first two dresses were contenders and she said I will be right back, and came back and put her in THE dress. The dress needed no alterations and she picked out the veil.
Anna Maria stayed below budget and we walked out with a gorgeous Maggie Sottero.
You will not be disappointed with Anna Maria, she knows women’s bodies and she studies the dresses. Thank you Anna Maria!

This was the first bridal dress shop that I made an appointment at since I heard good things about this place from others. As soon as I came into the shop, I was warmly greeted by Naomi. She started off by asking me what kind of styles I was looking for, so I showed her some of the pictures that I brought. She then proceeded to look through the racks and pull dresses for me. She knew this was my first time trying on dresses and was very patient with me. She helped me into the dresses and gave suggestions as we went along. She was not pushy at all and let me take my time thinking about each dress I tried on, what I liked and didn’t like about them.
They have a great selection of designer dresses and plenty to choose from. I even got a chance to browse the selection and showed Naomi which dresses I liked and wanted to try on.
They also have a good selection of bridesmaids dresses. I definitely recommend dress shopping on weekdays as they are not as busy as on weekends, and you’ll get the attention that you deserve :)

My 3^rd visit wedding dress shopping. I found this place by doing a search on Unilocal,and didn’t event think — a bridal store off Convoy? I’ll give it a shot…
So I set an appointment for me to try on wedding gowns with my mom and bridesmaids. When you walk in, there’s just tons of wedding dresses on racks to your left, then the misc dresses on the right (BMs, flower girls, special occasion dresses). I honestly was too overwhelmed.
The lady who assisted me was an older Asian lady. Evidently, there were some communication problems because the photos of dresses I showed didn’t translate to the dresses she brought for me to try on. So off my bridesmaids went to rummage through the racks themselves.
There are fitting rooms, but they were small. They caution you on the amount of guests to bring. I had 3 people come with me to my appointment, which was OK, but they did recommend only 2. I tried on about 10 different dresses here and none of them really were my style or type.
The price range at this shop is reasonable. There were gowns I tried on that were $ 1K, and there were others that I tried on that were $ 3K. Nonetheless, there’s something for everyone. I didn’t care for the selection they had so I walked out with nothing, unfortunately.
The lady who assisted me was a bit pushy in trying to sell me on each dress, which I didn’t appreciate, especially when the dresses she brought weren’t even close to the pictures I showed.
I didn’t care for the sales tactic here, although they did have a broad selection. I left the shop even more stressed out vs. when I came in!

This bridal shop is excellent! They have dresses for both the bride and bridesmaid, as well as accessories.
I first learned about this place when I was in search for a certain designer and style at a lower price, and they had it!
Years later I decided to bring my future-​sister in law here and although there’s new faces, they’re still awesome. Ana Maria was the consultant who helped us and she was high-​energy and bilingual, which was a plus for my crew.
You would never think she had any prior appointments because she makes you as a bride feel that special! She was really knowledgable about their inventory and sound in her recommendations. You could tell she has some years under her belt.
The only bad thing I could say is that there is a bit of a light lingering cigarette smoke smell when you first walk in… hmm I dunno what that’s about. I remember smelling it stronger years ago too. Possibly the carpet? Doesn’t seem to be on the dresses.
We didn’t up finding what we were looking for here, but the staff (past and present) is amazing and professional, and I would recommend this shop to others.
They also have dress preservation services which is also excellent and holds up to it’s promises of no yellowing, etc.

2000 Dreams is tucked away on Convoy Street, but well worth the trip!
I went dress shopping with my mom and sister when they were in town from the east coast in November, for my July 17^th wedding in La Jolla. On our list was 2000 Dreams, David’s Bridal, and Alfred Angelo. 2000 Dreams I had chosen because they carried the line of dresses that I really liked, Allure, that have a lacy, flowy style.
2000 Dreams was our first stop on a Friday morning. We were helped right away by Wendy, and I showed her the pictures of the dresses I had in mind — flowy, lacy, sleeveless. Once I told her my budget she wasn’t sure they would have much that fit my requests, as the Allure dresses were way over my budget, but I assured her I wasn’t as concerned about having a high quality lace, as long as the overall look fit.
She pulled five dresses for me to try on. The first dress was beautiful — we were all so excited! But we thought it was just the excitement of the first dress, so tried not to get our hopes up. Of the others, there were two more dresses we liked. Wendy was very attentive, and had me try on shoes to see how the dress fell, pinned wherever we requested, etc. We took lots of pictures, and moved on to the next shops to see what else we could find.
Not that they other experiences were completely bad, but they were nothing compared to the intimate experience at 2000 Dreams. David’s Bridal was like a cattle call, with at least a dozen brides trying on dresses, and I think I was helped by three different clerks who I had to explain to every time what I was looking for since the last person hadn’t passed on the info. At both stores, I hardly tried on a dress I liked at all — but I’ll save the rest of those details for their reviews.
I went back to 2000 Dreams the following week with my sister-​in-​law who lives locally to try on the three dresses I like again. I kept going back to that first dress! We left being fairly sure that was the one.
I went back by myself the next week to try it on one more time, and decided that was the one. Wendy took my measurements, and told me the dress would be ready by end of April/​early May. It was, and I went in the beginning of May for my fitting. Wendy measured for the final alterations, and when I went back for my final fitting 10 days before the wedding, the dress fit like a glove!
Overall, I was so pleased with the entire experience. Wendy was very attentive, very patient, and never pushy. I was able to easily email them to make appointments, and they always responded quickly the same day. Every time I came in, Wendy and the other staff remembered me and were very welcoming. She really knows her stuff, and was amazed by how well the dress fit me in the end!
I would absolutely recommend this shop to any bride who is embarking on the dress hunt. Great selection, small but clean and intimate shop, and wonderful staff!

Yessmin was my consulten and she was honest and very helpful. She picked up a couple wedding dress she think would fit me well and around my budget. She let me go through the racks sense there wasn’t an appointment after me.
I picked up a total of 7 wedding dress and was able to walk away with one. She was so sweet and honest about the dress and to be honest thats what you need.

Saved my wedding day!!! I came in on my wedding day, a Sunday, almost in tears and desperate for help.
Long story short– my seamstress had my expensive designer wedding gown at her store and was closed on Sundays. In all the wedding day commotion it got left for pick up that day, and I didn’t have her home number:-(
The staff @ 2000 dreams was amazing. They searched high and low to help me find a FITTED, affordable dress for my wedding later that day. I was in and out with a perfect back up in 30 minutes!!!

My experience here wasn’t awesome. It wasn’t awful, but I wasn’t prepared for the «hustle» that sometimes comes with shopping for a wedding gown. My best friend is getting married, and we are looking for her dress. I scheduled an appointment in advance, but some scheduling mishaps meant we had to reschedule so I gave them an extra star for moving our appointment time on the same day.
We arrived right on time, several dresses were pulled, but the gentleman helping us just wasn’t on the same wavelength. Granted, the bride had a very specific criteria but I was hoping that would make the hunter easier, not harder. Ball gown. No lace. Limited beading on the bodice. Dress must have some sort of flair ir personality. My friend tried on one dress and when we asked for a veil with a blusher, we were told «No one ever wears those anymore». Uhmmm she is going to! WTH? He tried to back pedal the comment but it was pretty rude.
After visiting some other bridal salons I was also taken aback by how much talking the consultant did, filling every possible moment of silence as if this would talk the bride into purchasing the dress. I found the sales pressure off-​putting, however they do have a LARGE selection of bridal and bridesmaids gowns to browse.

Being a bridesmaid can suck the biggest back of poop EVER. I’m not saying it’s not fun and a privilege to be part of a special day. No way would I say that. I’m just saying the process, money, headache, etc of buying a dress SOMEONE ELSE wants you to wear can be really tough.
I totally forgot about this wedding studio which is ridiculous b/​c I’ve actually purchased a bridesmaid dress from them many years ago. I remember the process being ‘ok’ back then so perhaps that’s why I didn’t give 2000 Dreams another thought this time around.
It’s been defeating looking for dresses lately and the thought of trying on MORE peach chiffon stuff made me want to suffer more. I was running late to my appointment here but the owner Andrew said it was no problem.
They actually have a HUGE organized inventory of BM dresses. I was thoroughly impressed. PLUS, they seemed to carry larger sample dresses compared to other places. Andrew and Ana Marie were super friendly and made me feel completely at ease to try on however many dresses my heart desired (which, trust me, was like 3 as I was burnt out of dresses in general at this point).
I didn’t have any of the other bridesmaids with me so I thought it would be tough to zip stuff up myself. The other studio didn’t really offer help but one of the BM was with me so we helped each other.
So I was completely surprised when Wendy, another consultant, saw me struggling to zip up the back of a dress and offered to help me. She was beyond kind and more importantly, she was honest with her opinions on whatever dress was on me.
To top it off, she helped me with ALL the dresses I tried on (probably 8 or so) and gave me blunt truthful answers that only a reputable consultant should.
To top it off yet again, Ana Maria (who is seriously the funniest hoot of a consultant) was so encouraging and optimistic when I doubted the way I looked in whatever dress (hey, it’s Girl Scout cookie season ok so muffin tops rejoice). Point being, Ana Maria and Wendy made the entire ‘supposed to be crappy’ experience fun, enjoyable, and gosh — they made me feel pretty in my final top 3 picks.
It takes a while for them to order the dress so time is of the essence if the wedding is less than 5 months away I think. I believe they require full payment of the dress when ordering.
I’m returning over the weekend to make my final decision and order the dress. I’ll give an update on how the dress turns out after alterations (I think Wendy does it too!).
Another bridesmaid is coming here after work after reading my excited ‘you won’t effing believe how cool they are here’ texts I sent all the girls after my appointment. So hopefully she’ll have a cool experience here too.

Oh — not that I should care or look — but they totally have a large selection of wedding gowns on sale. I totally want to have a Friends moment, buy a few dresses, try on said dresses with friends at home, and just watch tv/​drink wine in those dresses :) Totally normal right.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE… So I have been running around like a mad woman on a mission this past week. Dress shop #1, Day 2.
MISSION if you chose to accept: Be my bridesmaid! Find a Bridesmaid dress of your choosing for my October Wedding! Must be long. Must be purple.

It’s a short planning period, and I was asked a couple of weeks ago… find a dress? No problem! We have an amazing bachelorette weekend, and it hits me… I NEED TO FIND A DRESS! Like NOW! With just over a month to go for the wedding… a whirlwind of purple dresses everywhere! Literally!
I wanted to give this little hidden shop, MAD props!!! Even if you don’t buy a dress from here, (which I think you should) you will have an awesome experience!
1) Anna Marie — She helps out with the fittings. I absolutely love her! She’s so cheerful, friendly, nice, and hilarious!
2) Owner — He’s a pretty cool guy. Anna left me to help her wedding dress fitting appt. (I was a walk-​in) and he jumped in, strapping me into the rest of the dresses. He’s very honest in how you look in the dress. Great! He’s the buyer for the dresses that comes into his store, and he likes unique, different, stately styles. Even better!
3) Dresses — Pretty decent selection. Best part, they are willing to sell off the rack and alter the dress for you if you are short on time (which I am… usually these dresses are 3 – 4 month pre-​order).
4) Best part… Wait for it… I don’t know if I want to share this secret… Ok, I won’t! Go visit the store yourself and find out! ;)
I left with 4 dresses, and still on the hunt for the purple dress! I do love trying on/​wearing/​playing dress up, so I would do this all over again for any of my girlie loves!
