History

Established in 2000.

Mary Von Lortz took over the Sidestreet Gallery & began offering her painting & guitar lessons in 2000. She currently holds classes six days a week for children & adults of all ages & experience levels.

Children Ages 7+ Year Round Classes: 2 hours — $ 35

(All materials included except canvas).

Tuesday 3:30 — 5:30pm

Thursday 3:30 — 5:30pm

Every other Saturday 9 — 11am

Adult Year Round Classes: 3 hours — $ 35

(Materials must be provided by students, they can be purchased in class at a discount.)

Wednesday: 10am — 1pm and evenings 6pm –9pm

Thursday: 10am — 1pm

Friday: 10am — 1pm

Alternate Saturday 1pm — 4pm

5 Hour Class Opposite Saturday: 10am — 3pm = $ 52.50

Meet the Business Owner

Mary Von L.

Business Owner

Mary currently resides in beautiful San Clemente, Ca. She has spent her entire life as an artist, as her earliest memories include drawing and painting. Her desire to enhance her skills lead to an apprenticeship under a master oil painter over 25 years ago. She spent 15 years learning advanced painting and refining her technique. When the opportunity to buy the Sidestreet Gallery and studio arose, she took it. Since the year 2000 she has been joyfully giving back through teaching art and music.

What makes Mary so special is her unique ability to speak to each student in terms that they will understand. Her empathetic nature allows her to easily pick up cues from her students and she adjusts the lesson accordingly. Most of all, she enjoys teaching art and music to people who have the desire to learn and express their creativity.
