I get a kick out of the people behind the counter, not the friendliest, but it’s okay, if you approach and talk to them they will reciprocate. I was turned on to San Bitter there, now I make mean cocktail from it, thanks to their advice. The sandwiches are great. Nice shop with authentic Italian products. Well stocked beer, if not a variety.
If you need people to swoon over you, then don’t go there… But if you want an authentic Italian shopping and dining experience in a casual store– like atmosphere then check them out. They also sell frozen pasta dishes to go. I love this place! However, «NO SOUP FOR ME!» I’m not a soup guy, I’ll stick with the sandwich and Peroni, but I am interested in trying the pizza or lasagna next time. Tina rules!

Definitely fabulous food! Service … well … hmmm. That being said, you stand in line and order. So it’s not that service is slow; it’s just not warm and fuzzy. The food on the other hand is really wonderful!!! It is fantastic!

Good sandwiches. Seating is inside and limited and their is no air conditioning. They make a good crème brule as well.

Best Italian deli in OC. My Nonna would have Loved this place. If you want a true Italian Sub you need to come here. Great family, Great food!!!

Love the tuna & artichoke sandwich (#7). Absolutely delicious! They also have a deli case with tasty potato salad and various extras. You can purchase refrigerated pre-​packaged tortellini and other pasta that you can take home to cook! There are a few tables inside and a couple outside on the sidewalk for eating there.

I used to frequent Tina and Vince’s deli when I lived in San Clemente. They make one of the best subs I have ever had. The Italian sub #2 is the perfect combo of meat, cheese, fresh baked bread along with olive oil and vinegar. This deli is what I envision a traditional Italian deli to be like. Not only do they have amazing sandwiches and pizzas, but they have a large deli case full of wonderful goodies from potato salad to olives to gourmet meats. They also stock authentic Italian goods for making your own meal. I had the pleasure of stopping in the other day on the way home from San Diego and of course had the Italian sub #2 and a slice, but also grabbed some homemade lobster ravioli, butternut squash ravioli, and some vodka pasta sauce. The lobster ravioli with the vodka sauce was out of this world. It is a perfect taste pairing. The butternut ravioli was also delicious but I preferred the lobster. Ok, let’s talk about this place. It’s a small family run business that does thing THEIR way. I’ve seen the way that rude customers come in expecting to be catered to like they’re royalty. If you’re rude to them they have no fear in returning the sentimate, in fact I’d like to see any of these other complainers try to order a sandwich in Chicago or Philly! In short be nice to them and they’ll be twice as nice to you, be rude and watch out!
I’ve been going there for about a year now and I know everyone there and they’re all nice, I ust don’t expect them to stop all operations to wait on me hand and foot! Treat them well and you become family to them, truly!
Ok, now down to the food, can I write OMG 35 time and call it a review? The sandwiches are handmade and amazing! but hte PIZZA, ok it’s straight up east coast pizza, get yourself a pepperoni pie, go home, put of Goodfellas or The Sopranos and feel the Italian course through your ears and belly, WOW, great food!!!

Tina & Vince is pretty much a must visit if your looking for some an awesome Italian deli in the San Clemente area!
I’ve been here countless times over the years either for their delicious sandwiches or for their awesome pizza and other Italian specialties.
This is more or less a little market that consists of a few chairs inside and out front seeing that it’s small and on Del Mar you know it’s usually kinda busy and I’d definitely consider that if your thinking about a visit.
They also sell a bunch of their pastas frozen so you can bring them home and mix it up with your favorite sauce for another day something we have done many times as they are quite scrumptious!
Of their sandwiches I usually get a #5 as its just a good combination of turkey, roast beef, and veggies on a delicious roll!
Their bread here is also super good and definitely makes the sandwich that much better as you can taste the freshness in it!
The pizza is super good too they offer the original crust as well as one that’s a little bit deeper too that’s sure to hit the crust spot your craving.
This is an awesome family run place that had always treated us well with good eats and an interesting type of service as it is family run and sometimes you can definitely see that but hey it makes for a good fun experience!
I’m sure it will only be a matter of time before we return here for some delicious food!

I’m a San Clemente newbie. I love it here. I just ate at Tina and Vince’s Italian Deli so now I love it even more.
So it seems like every single Unilocaler was HARPING on how old the mean lady is. I was expecting a wrinkled old hag. LIke as old as Spongebob’s date! NO, as old as Patrick’s date!
I was shocked to discover that the mean lady is the not so very ancient lady, the same lady who, two weeks ago, when I wandered in because I was dying of thirst after playing hard with my puppy, Sunny Ray, in the park, was really nice to me. I was only buying a coke. First I asked if I could have water for Sunny, who was waiting outside, and she brought it to me in a take out soup container with ICE, which he LOVES but I hadn’t wanted to be too pushy. Keep in mind I’m buying a single Coke. Then, I whip out a credit card. She wasn’t mean to me then either. But she let me know they only take cash. I had to dig around like mad to come up with the cash, which took approximately ten milliondy years and required some of my purse stuff get scattered on the counter, and still, she wasn’t mean to me.
Tonight, I asked if I could get tomatoes on the pizza next time even though it isn’t one of the toppings offered for the kind of pizza I ordered. She said yes, told me about her favorite pizza and then asked would I like some tomatoes on THIS pizza. She took it over, got the tomatoes on it and was NICE. The tomatoes were gratis.
So, she aint so old and she aint so mean. Not when I’ve been there anyway. She was wearing a pretty floral dress and had a smile on her face. She looked charming and had a little accent. How delightful is THAT?
Food was just GRAND and super affordable, like the same price as a big mac and fries no coke. Can’t beat that with a stick.
I ate mah pizza and licked mah fingers and thought, she is just a pussycat who has alla y’all fooled.

I went in craving the #2 Italian Sub. We were prepared for rudeness (not a big deal) so we knew what we wanted before stepping up to the counter. Unfortunately I lost my appetite when I saw Tina handle money from the customer ahead of us in line, take our order and then proceed to make our sandwiches WITHOUT washing her hands. Disgusting! Even though we’re locals, I’ll hesitate before returning.

The best homemade lasagna ever. And I saw the comment about the Soup Nazi but it’s worth it. Authentic best homemade Italian food takeaway.

Authentic Italian Deli with a wide variety of sandwiches, pizza, real Italian deserts, homemade sauces, pasta etc… I often buy the homemade lobster ravioli and sauce directly from the deli. Makes a great dinner. My favorite sandwich is the authentic Italian #2. Individual pizza only 5.00 dollars! Great craft soda selection as well. I’m Italian and I appreciate this establishment in our community. Ciao

I would give this place a 5 star review if it weren’t for the little Orc lady behind the counter.
I ordered 1 sandwich and my girlfriend also ordered one. When I received the first sandwich, I asked «which one is this?» And the Orc replied with «does it look like sausage to you?» (The sandwich in front of me was turkey/​roast beef, and I didn’t hear what my girlfriend ordered)
If it weren’t for that condescending question from Tina (Orc), I would’ve enjoyed this place more. I love cats.

Italian Sub was solid. I got served by the young girl so I didn’t experience all the attitude I read about. That said, I’m not sure that would turn me off from an old school ma’ and pa’ Italian joint. I was still a little hungry so I got a slice of the sausage pizza, and the sauce and sausage were tasty and definitely fresh. It’s just sitting there so it was barely lukewarm, but I suppose it’s so it doesn’t get overcooked in a warmer. I’ll be back, attitude or not.
