Specialties
The Cellar is a cheese shop & wine bar + kitchen. We serve lunch and dinner. Live music is featured every night and our weekend piano bar draws a crowd.
Our unique space is the result of Green Design. Old French oak barrels line the face of the bar. The recycled wine coolers were refaced with 100 year old barn wood. The two large meeting tables in the center of the space were hand crafted with the same wood. Salvaged window frames from Cooper Unions Science building in New York City were re-fashioned into mirrors and hang high above the booth seating. Recycled wine bottles are used through out the space adding unique detail. Custom concrete work finishes off the space making it the perfect, comfortable destination to meet friends, celebrate a special occasion or lounge after a hard day of work or play.
Wine bottle deals on Sundays!
History
Established in 2008.
The Cellar began as the vision of three local gals who wanted to create a neighborhood meeting place and showcase for local musicians, seasonal produce, artists, and artisans.
Meet the Manager
Charlie K.
Manager
Charles Harvey Kallen is a master of charm and personal magnetism. Many attribute his awesomeness to his hat and mustache, but he’ll tell you it’s from his parents, four amazing sisters, and close friends.
As a young adult, his thirst for adventure and living life to the best of his ability sent him on a quest away from his hometown of San Juan Capistrano, CA and around the world. He studied salsa dancing in Salamanca, Spain, surfed the beaches of Melbourne, Australia, and perfected the art of igloo construction in The Rocky Mountains of Colorado. After years of education, travel and adventure, he returned home to be with family, friends, and hone in on his customer service skills within the restaurant industry. This led him to find The Cellar. Or is it, The Cellar found him? Regardless, Charlie excels with a passion for ensuring quality, personalized service with humility. He is best at creating an environment for guests that is relaxing, enjoyable, and most of all, fun.
