Our qualified repair techs that will take care of any and all of your pool and spa problems. We have a pool store that is located in San Clemente, we always answer the phones, and we are available after hours. We currently service over 550 pools weekly including community pools, residential pools and Hotels. We can handle everything from simple pool cleaning to underground leak detection and remodels. No job to small! We also have GPS in all of our service trucks and a highly educated office staff comprised of pool veterans to ensure that all repairs and services are completed correctly and on time.

I started SC Pool and Spa works with my business partner Jack Peat III when I was 18. Over the last 10 years of hard work we have built a successful service business focused on offering the highest quality of reliable swimming pool service and repair. When we started this business our goal was to start a professional service company with a retail storefront that would offer customers a local and reliable option to take care of all the pool needs. We are an established company with the «A» Team ready to serve your needs. Our knowledgeable staff is always available for your calls and we are truly a full service company ready to take care of all your needs. I am always looking for new ways to improve our business and customer experience. My greatest accomplishment has been developing a successful pool service company from the ground up and now we are able to contribute to the community and provide individuals long term stable jobs with benefits in a struggling and competitive industry.

Awful awful awful!!! Everything sucks about this company! From maintenance to bookkeeping. They are trying to extort more money from us AFTER they sent us a FINAL bill. No schedules for the cleaners whatsoever and God forbid you should have an emergency like a broken pump or algae. They will take their time to return phone calls or unless you call incessantly until someone picks up. Everything got even worse when they switched over to the new company and I didn’t think that was possible. Please don’t even THINK about calling this company for service or repairs… they don’t care about you or your pool. Yeah, this is a pretty harsh review, but I’m telling it like it is.

Horrible customer service. Shelley in the office is the worst. If you are looking for a pool maintenance company, beware. They don’t fix things properly and then try to make it seem like you don’t know how to use the system. You are so much better off going with any other company out there if you are on the fence.

Max and Mike are gone!
Pool maintenance and billing went to Hell when Pool Werx took over.
Tech left with pumps grinding, lids off and brush across the pool. Sometimes they never showed up and billed us.
We finally cancelled. They showed up again, I asked them to leave. They billed us a month later for service we never received. They said they made a mistake and would cancel the invoice. A week later they charged our card for service we cancelled TWO months ago. They are totally clueless. Still trying to straighten the mess out.
Don’t take a chance. POOL WERX, the giant from Australia has ruined what was once a solid local business.

this company is a disaster! after using them for years this summer my pool has been unusable — lack of customer service– how hard is it to clean a pool once a week and actually get the pool clean and not leave trash around? clearly it is no longer possible for sc pool works

Horrible customer service when you actually need work done. I recently had them come out and do a leak detection on a in ground spa we have. They came and did the leak detection and found the problem but when it came to scheduling the fix they never called me back and the woman who answered the phone was rude and hung up on me and told me they will call me soon and a week went by and still no ring back… I never usually write reviews like this but it was kind of ridiculous. Once I found a pool guy we could trust our issues were fixed and for a lower price than quoted by sc pool and spa within a matter of 2 days. I guess this company used to be good but I was told they were bought out by a large company from la and that is why things have changed. If you need work done by a company that is reliable, go somewhere else. You will be happy you took my advice

Recently bought by Pool Werx SC pools is continuing to deliver. We remodeled our pool this past spring, James was excellent. Everything was performed on time, on budget and to our standard. Recently we added a Auto Chem system and Travis has been responsive in his monitoring and adjusting the various devices to assure a trouble free system.
Will continue to recommend to all who ask.

Our pool has been serviced by SC Pool & Spa Works for almost a year. There has been turn over in that year but the service has been consistent and good through the changes in people. In June, we asked Jack to remodel our pool. It was a painless 2 week process in which I was able to choose new tile and pick out the new QuartzScape surface we decided upon. Jack took me to see pools that his company has remodeled with different surfaces and tiles so that I could see what my options were. We are so happy with the end result and it was a pleasure working with Jack and his team. Jack was on top of everything each day and everything stayed within the original budget and turned out perfectly! I highly recommend SC Pool & Spa Works for servicing your pool on a weekly basis and for remodeling!

I would say the customer service is seriously lacking. We have only been a customer for a month after I decided to give them a try because they had good reviews and offered a deal. They don’t return phone calls and a few days ago my pool was seriously green for about 4 days, even though I have weekly service. The guy who comes out told me he «cleans 18 pools a day». Not my problem, buddy, just get the job done right. I pay this company the same $ 95 a month every other company charges and for the record, they take your credit card up front. I’d say try another company if you want to be able to reach your pool guy when you have a problem.

SC Pool & Spa is the Best!
–We live in San Clemente on a crest and over time our pool developed a crack/​leak near the stairs. I contacted a few other pool companies and then SC Pools. Jack came out to access the damage and provided me with a free estimate and options for repair. He was prompt/​courteous and very easy to deal with. We just had the repairs completed and it turned out amazing! The job was completed on time and Jack kept me updated every step of the way with calls/​texts. Max was also involved to explain the cause of the problem and suggest ways to mitigate future issues. I was so pleased with the service, that I switched over my weekly pool cleaning to SC Pools.
**I would highly recommended them to anyone.

Pools can be a nightmare without the right company. I met max 5 years ago and have referred him to a couple of my friends & clients who have pools. He is very easy going and seems to care about his clients. SC Pool has always been prompt, affordable, and very helpful. The whole team did a great job fixing one specific issue recently, which my client was very thankful for. They also continue to service the other referred pools on a regular basis. I will continue to refer them to friends and family.

I am a realtor and schedule appointment with Jeff after reviewing all the positive feedbacks. My client said outdoor spa jet head is not as powful as before and wanted to check if the pump is alright. I double confirmed with shelly (the receptionist) if it is a free estimate so I know what is wrong and how much it costs before I talked to owner for approval of repair. I had to wait for a long time that day as he came late at his convenience. (I noticed other clients have same problems too) checked everything and said that I need to schedule the pump filter cleaning later and give a quote as well. after that, I received a bill from SC pool for $ 80.they said they help to clean the jet head filter when they do the inspection and it is repair and owner is responsible to pay for it!!! I told them that owner will not pay as owner never authorize that job to be done, if they call it a repair. Shelly said she will check with Jeff and called me back. She never did, but I keep on receiving bills for that property. it is so frustrating!!! I will never work with them again.

we have a leak in our pool that we have tried to locate for years. we contacted Max and he sent Daniel out on 3 occasions to try to locate the origin of the leak. Finally, figured out it was with our 20 yr old fiberglass pool lining. Max went above and beyond in getting us hooked up with a business that specializes in fiberglass. it is with great relief that we found someone who wanted to please the customer and do a great job with professionalism.

I hired their pool service, when I installed my new salt water pool a guy named Max came out. Signed me up for service, since that time his company has serviced my pool with great expertise and has taken care of all my needs, even in an emergency Max came out himself to fix my pool heater during my kids pool party and was able to get the heater working! I had a lot of happy kids that night! Thank you Max and we give our thanks to your office also for taking the call from us. Dave and the kids!

All I can say is we’ve had many other pool service companies service our pool & spa in the past, and never happy. My husband & I expect a high level of service, which we could never find in a pool company, not even close. We own a business as well so we truly understand the importance of quality, work, dependability, and great customer service, which SC Pool & Spa is! Rain or windy weather, they still come! We have children (and their friends) and they are ALWAYS in the pool! SC Pool Service is so on top of fixing something when needed, they make sure that someone always calls us to let us know what’s going on, what parts to order, when will it come, who’s fixing it, did it get fixed in a timely manner? Also want to say I love the weekly emails of when our pool & spa is serviced! It tells you in detail what was done, ph level, ect!!! Sc Pools is reliable, awesome service, really nice people (service people & office people), and we would recommend them to everyone!

This place does great work. What I like best is the service. Some people do things half way, but not SC pools. They keep my pool sparkling and because they own a store too, parts are never an issue.
After a while wear and tear is normal, but they keep everything running smoothly. Because everything is well maintained, I haven’t had many problems. My pump did eventually go went out on me. The thing was ancient, I thought it would be a problem to replace, but when I gave them a call, they fixed it right away.
Plus the people they send out are always professional and polite. They answer all my questions and always treat me with respect. That is important because they are coming to my house. So far it has been a great experience and I am always glad to have them.

Highly recommend SC Pool & Spa Works. I have had issues w/​air in my lines since I bought my house, no one was ever able to diagnosis it properly and simply told me it’s normal. My pumps have never run at 100%. I also have had issues w/​my salt water system, specifically the sensor, again, others have led me down dead-​end paths.
I called Max at SC Pool & Spa Works and told him I have a number of issues and need someone to shoot straight. He tells me they will get it right from the start and he got a Sr. tech on the job, Phil Branson. Phil had all the issues figured out w/​in 12 seconds of showing up this morn, he answered every question I had (I had lots) and really knew what he was talking about. I will be referring two neighbors today, advising them to fire their pool guys and maintenance crews and sign w/​SC Pool & Spa works.
You never have a second chance to make a first impression, this company obviously cares and believes in what really matters.
