M & M Smog Test

Just was there. Was in and out. Super fast, reasonable and super clean waiting area. Loved the Ronald Reagan calendar and American flag on the wall. The owner is nice. I will be back for sure.

Smog check perfectly and efficiently done by Robert, a very nice gentleman. Good old fashioned service. You will be happy.

I have been going to this place for over 5 years, I know these people and they take care of the customer VERY well. Customer service is EVERYTHING here. They don’t care so much about the money. I saw Chuck L. ‘s comment and it seems to be a phony complaint because I know the person who runs the shop. Robert is the only smog technician who works there and to him customer service is very important. Hes not that kind of person at all. On top of that there is a HUGE sign that has the hours on it outside of the building plus the hours are on Unilocal.All the information he needs was right in front of him. Look at all the other Reviews that praise Robert. Does that sound like a guy who would give a customer a «blank nasty stare & walk away»? Not to me. This Chuck L. guy is either lying or mixed up.

I dropped my son’s car at mechanics shop to have about $ 2500 worth of repairs. My son while waiting for me to complete the paper work walked over to chat with the smog guy. As his car will need to be smogged
after work is finished. The employee was just opening up at about 8:15. So my son cheerfully asked how late they stay open. The guy just gave him a blank nasty stare & walked away. Needless to say I won’t be having my car smogged there. Ha

The gentlemen working here is amazing. It took me about 30 min to get in and out with two people ahead of me.

Robert is a great guy and quick too!
He always has a smile and never complains even when someone (like me) gives him a hard time.
His prices are reasonable and I will continue to take my cars to be smoged here.

I will be recommending Robert and M&M smog to all my friends! Robert actually cares about the customers, not about the money. I was greeted with a smile and he came to welcome me even while running a test on another vehicle. He was quick and didn’t overcharge. We will be getting our next smog done here. Highly recommended!
They are under new management with Robert. The older, negative reviews I read through mention a lady and she’s no longer there!
To get here — from I5 North, exit pico and turn left to go under the overpass. Take the first left at the light by the post office. Go all the way down that street, right before it curves to the right, you’ll see a small drive for OCAutomotive on the left, turn in there and M&M is at the back of that drive

Under NEW management! At «Star Certified», M & M Smog, Robert is the new owner and greets each customer with a smile. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday morning around 10:30 a.m. I ran one errand and by the time I got back 20 minutes later, the car was finished. We’ve been going to M & M Smog for close to a decade with varying experiences depending on who was running the shop. With Robert in charge, we found pride of ownership and experienced a friendly exchange. Even though the car shop located before his in the driveway advertises lower prices, it’s a hassle and not a pleasant experience, hence not worth any savings one might receive.

First time here, the shop was cleaner than most restaurants. Greeted nicely upon arrival. Have my own service business so I can appreciate this. The service is quick and professional and priced right. With my 4 vehicles I will definitely return. Thanks for the great service

Robert is a great guy. He knows his stuff and very friendly. He gets you in and out in no time. I called 5 – 6 places to shop and when I called him, he gave me the best price and beat everybody’s price by $ 10.
Give them a shot, you will thank me later.

Fast, friendly and affordable. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes and their location is so convenient, right off of Pico! I highly recommend!

So, this is my first review ever on Unilocal.I went there yesterday for a smog check. After hooking the system up to my car he finds that it’s not ready to be smogged (battery…reset…blah blah). And he said, «I’m not going to do it now because it will fail and I don’t want to charge you for it.» He told me to drive for another 50 miles and come back and it should be ready. I thought that was pretty awesome of him because he could’ve totally charged me for it and failed the smog check.
So I went back today and it was ready! Yay! I let him know I need to get it done asap as I will be running late for work. Another car pulled up just right before I did but in order to accomodate me, he said he’ll do both cars at the same time. Yay again! He was so quick. I was done and out of there in no time! Smog check passed and info already sent to DMV. Triple yay! Lol. Thanks for your excellent customer service Robert. You rock. :)
Side note: Facility was pretty clean and there is a seating area for waiting. Just remember to drive all the way inside because the business is nestled around an auto repair shop as well.

I was helping my Dad out by getting his car a smog check and he told me to come here — boy am I glad I listened!
Robert was great and took the car even without an appointment, on a very busy day for him. He kept me posted on the wait time and his customer service was incredible and very appreciated. I will definitely be back with MY car when it is time for it’s next smog test.

New owner Robert was fantastic — friendly and efficient. Accepted Unilocal coupon and got me out in under 15 minutes. Ultra clean shop and waiting area with current magazines. Will definitely come back.

This guy is the bomb. Went in for a smog test and left with flying colors. An honest guy looking to help us in need of a quick service done right and professionally. We named our price and he settled and went straight to work. Without a doubt the go to place for SMOG tests and will definitely come back after 2 years. Disregard the previous negative reviews.
