I was so happy with the flowers that Cary provided for our August 2015 wedding. Her floral designs are lovely, and they perfectly complemented the vision I had for our summer garden party-​style wedding. In addition to my bridal bouquet, bouquets and boutonnieres for the wedding party, and flowers for the reception tables, she also provided a floral wreath that hung above the tree where we had our ceremony, decorated our cake with flowers, and even had flowers for my hair! (Before my wedding, I had never heard the term «hair flowers.» Who knew?!) She is calm and easy to work with, responsive to questions, and doesn’t try to over-​sell you on things you don’t need. All in all, it was a wonderful experience working with Cary.

I am grateful to have hired Cary as our florist for our wedding earlier this month and she did not disappoint me with all the beautiful floral arrangements, from my bridal bouquet, ceremony floral arch, all the way to decorations on sweetheart table and reception table centerpieces. I am happy as a bride to hear all the compliments from our guests about how pretty and lovely the floral designs are and have made my wedding more dreamy and fairytale-​like. Cary is talented and pleasant to work with. She even spent her time assisting me looking for other wedding vendors and was more willing than anyone else to coordinate with my event coordinator and vendors with wedding’s rundown and schedule. She was professional and reliable enough to update her works with me multiple times on the wedding day to calm a nervous bride down. She and her coworkers made a great team with all the impressive floral arrangements!

We hired Cary as our florist for our wedding in August 2015. She is so pleasant to work with and very professional. Most of all, she was super prompt in returning emails and on time with flower delivery. She’s great with recommendations as well, which was great for someone like me who didn’t know too much about flowers. On the day of the wedding, she was actually able to complete setup with ceremony and reception ahead of schedule. You will not regret your decision with Cary. Even our venue was impressed with her. Reasonably priced as well. Cary is just awesome!

This review is long overdue, but I’m finally forcing myself to write it because Cary deserves a great review. She designed the floral arrangements for my 2014 wedding, and she did an absolutely fantastic job. I look at my photos from that special day, and the flowers are so gorgeous — they represent everything beautiful that happened on that day. I was incredibly happy with Cary’s work. If you are a bride-​to-​be reading this, and you’re on the hunt for spectacular flowers from a professional for a very reasonable price for your wedding, Cary is your florist.
Cary is a perfectionist and has an eye for detail, so she goes above and beyond in delivering a beautiful product for your special occasion. Flowers were really important to me, and she worked closely with us to get the right colors and the right textures for the our wedding. I wanted vibrant, colorful flowers that would show up well in photos (I don’t know why so many brides these day choose soft, muted colors — they don’t show up well in photos!!), and Cary helped us create an absolutely exquisite blend of flowers. We met with her at her studio/​workshop and she spent a very long time going over every detail with us (at my request; I doubt she would do that unless you wanted it). She was very thoughtful in throwing out different options and the pros/​cons of different flowers. She brought snacks for us, and she even made us a «sample» small bouquet for us for free, for us to show our families. I was delighted with all of the personal touches she put into everything.
On the day of the wedding, our families heard many times over how how beautiful the flowers were. Cary delivered all of the flowers to us on the day of the wedding and helped set up the reception with my day-​of coordinator. She did the following pieces for us, and they were flawless — each of them: the bride’s bouquet; the groom’s boutonnière; the corsages for the mothers and grandmothers; the boutonnieres for the fathers, grandfather, and groomsmen; the bouquets for the bridesmaids; the arrangements for the tables at the reception; and the cake decorations. Her work was so great that I’ve told my husband I’m hoping to receive another copy of our wedding bouquet for our anniversary ;-)
I talked with half a dozen florists and decided to go with Cary because her prices were extremely reasonable for the quality of work she showed us. Her arrangements for bouquets and for tables are easily in the $ 5,000+ range of quality, but at well less than half the price. I would recommend Cary, and will recommend her, to all of my friends and family looking for a florist for a special occasion.

Working with Cary on flowers for our wedding was one of the best experiences! Not to mention, the finished product was absolutely breath taking. Cary went above and beyond for our special day. In several of the meetings we had with her, she took the time to understand our vision and theme and she always had the best contributions and ideas. It was always an easy collaboration from the start. We were both blown away at the beauty the flowers brought to our ceremony and reception. We are SO VERY pleased with Cary and would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Our team wanted to send an bereavement bouquet and I called Cary to ask if she can help me. She said no problem. I told her I’m not sure what flowers to pick for a bereavement bouquet and delivery would be in Santa Clara and she also said no problem, she’ll take care of it. I had an amazing experience with Cary. She did our wedding flowers and we loved the results. From the beginning she was kind, professional and responsive, and I felt confident that our flowers would be as I envisioned — it was that and more. Cary did the florals for a baby shower I threw for my sister and she created a look that matched exactly what I wanted! She delivered them — looking beautiful — on time and I received a ton of complements from all of the guests on how great the florals look. She was easy to work with and made the experience very easy. Cary did an amazing job of doing the floral for our wedding. She was very professional and courteous when we first consulted with her. When we arrived at our first meeting, we were impressed by her setup and professionalism of showing us the work she had done on a TV displayed in the reception area. She followed up with us promptly through email when needed. She also gave us suggestions on what we could use for our centerpiece flowers since our mother was the one who was doing it. Cary is a delight to work with, and we couldn’t have been happier. Thanks Cary for all that you did for our wedding. We truly appreciate it.

I cannot say enough about our experience at Wowpretty (makeup and hair) with Cary. She is one of the most professional, if not the best, florists I have ever worked with. What she brings to her work are three things that stand out: First, she is passionate about what she does and how she does it. You can tell she loves her work; she really puts herself into anything she does 100%. Second, Her eye for detail is amazing! She has a gift for matching the colors to the people she works with. Finally, her commitment to making her customers happy. Whenever I hear someone is planning a wedding, party, anniversary, or anything that requires a florist, I recommend Cary. I give her five stars, I wish everyone was this professional!

Cary is delightful to work with. She is totally knowledgeable about what stems and flowers meld together, and it shows in real-​time. She’ll bring her stash of supplies and can craft your personalized piece right in front of you. Not to mention she has super cute business cards ;) She can come to you for consultation by appointment and it seems as though she is readily available, energetic, and ready to work. She made a boutinnaire & a matching crown for me which looked astounding. I never thought velvety leaves would go well with yellow flowers, but they did! I would love to see more of her work because I can only imagine how beautiful her arrangements can be.

I’ve been meaning to write a review for this shop, I called her in a last minute pinch because I wanted to get my son a boutinaire (sp?) as well as his god parents for my son’s first holy communion. Not only did she do an amazing job but her price was very reasonable.

Looking for a florist on the peninsula for my wedding in Woodside, I came across Cary. After seeing her Unilocal reviews and website, I felt sure she would do a breathtaking AND affordable job. If you are having any type of special event, especially a wedding, Cary is your go-​to florist! Not only is her eye for design fresh and flawless, but also she is very respectful of your budget. When I realized that ¹⁄₃ of the estimate went to table centerpieces, I asked if she had other options. While she showed me the candle, mirror, and floating flower-​in-​water alternatives, she also was extremely understanding and pleasant when I decided to save money by having a friend arrange centerpieces from a floral wholesaler. To assist my friend, Cary offered to order us the same flowers at wholesale prices so the centerpieces would match the bouquets. This ended up being the perfect solution because my friend is learning floral design so she could do small arrangements, but could not do the bouquets, boutienneres, corsages, or floral arch arrangement that Cary so masterfully did. Fortunately for me, Cary also had experience at my wedding venue (The Mountain Terrace) and knew how to work with their wooden arch. I still feel that the floral arch looked better than anything I have ever seen in a bridal magazine!
Although I first requested garden roses and peonies, Cary sweetly told me that those were at the top of the price structure, and also hard to find in certain seasons. Using my color choices, we went back and forth on a few designs until I was very excited, satisfied, and my budget was met. She also threw in a ton of little extras because that’s just the kind of person she is… all the vases for the bridesmaids bouquets, votive holders, flowers for the cake, etc. She has a business degree-​background, but combines that with exceptional customer service, professionalism, energy, and sweetness. As a bride, you cannot do better!

I know nothing about flowers. I know nothing about florists. I have no idea what to look for, or what it is that I wanted. My wife definitely made up for my knowledge gap.
Upon a referral from Visia (Wedding videography and photography), we made an appointment with Cary at her shop in San Mateo. Cary immediate made me feel comfortable and armed me with all of the knowledge I needed to select flowers that would be in season during our wedding date. She was filled with options, ideas, and ways to help us save money. She helped my wife visualize the flower selection to her wedding dress and how that would match with the bridesmaids. 10 minutes in, I knew this was not Cary’s «first rodeo» and I was elated to be working with someone with experience.
Before we met with Cary, she emailed us a form to help us come to decision points for our flower arrangements. We selected the cheapest option $ 1800. I have to admit, Cary stretched what we would have received at $ 1800, but honestly — you cannot and SHOULD NOT skimp out on flowers, floral design and custom arrangements. The perfect arrangement will compliment your venue and tie everything together. Just ask Cary to see how she transformed our venue for both the ceremony site, cocktail hour, and reception hall. She did an amazing job, and to say amazing does not do her work justice.
I cannot say enough about Cary and how professional she is. She took the time to meet with us several times at her shop, and to tour our venue. We had the luck of having the venue for the entire day of our wedding. Cary was onsite from the early morning, and remained to clean up after we left. She checked in with us to ensure everything was perfect. She also provided all sorts of things we didn’t think of — this was a pleasant surprise and really made us happy on our special day.
Cary went above and beyond to helped us create the romantic setting we were after, some of this at her own cost!!! During our vendor selection process, I think we met with one other highly recommended vendor — just to perform our due diligence. Cary obviously won our selection. We were so touched on how Cary put a personal touch to every arrangement, and we were honored to have Cary share our special day with us.
In closing. If you are looking for a special arrangement to compliment a special occasion — Petals by Cary is the place. If you are looking for a florist to design and compliment your wedding or any other special occasion — STOP your Unilocaling and just call Cary.

I heard about Cary through her amazing photographer fiancé, Jason. I will admit that I did not look at many other florists, but that was because I loved Cary, her demeanor, and her designs after our initial consultation. Cary is extremely friendly, hard-​working, and professional. This was really important to me, as I decided to have a full-​time job, begin a MS program, and get married all in the same year. I needed vendors that were absolutely on top of their game, and Cary went above and beyond my expectations. When I told her that we were making our own centerpieces to save money, Cary did not skip a beat. She even told my now husband and myself that she was available for consultation in case we ran into issues making them! How is that for excellent customer service? As mentioned earlier, I didn’t have a ton of time to decide on flowers, designs, etc. Luckily, all I had to give Cary was our wedding colors, and a picture of our centerpieces I had made, and voila! She executed some amazing designs for the wedding.
Our wedding day was beautiful, in large part because of Cary’s beautiful floral designs. It’s been a week since my wedding and the floral arrangements+bouquets are still in amazing condition. I would highly recommend Cary for any/​all of your floral needs, and I know that I will be using her exclusively in the future whenever it is remotely possible. Thanks Cary!

After a few researches, my husband and I decided to go with Petals by Cary Florist shop for our wedding. She did all our flowers arrangement and she did a phenomenal job. Her store has a wide variety of flowers and roses (all kinds of colors) from the catalogs for you to choose from. If you have any pictures in mind or know what you want, just let her know and she will do her best to work with you. If you do not know what you want, don’t worry about it too much, cuz she is very friendly, patient, and helpful with her suggestions. She gave me lots of great ideas of what is good, what flowers are in season during our wedding, what combination brings out the colors of my dress and all the bad combination as well. I had a hard time picturing what it would all look like because I don’t know flowers very well, but she reassured me, and I trusted her and let her put her own creativity into my bouquets with a little of my own request. She even drew up her designs the week before the wedding for me to see so I get an idea of what everything will look like on the day of the wedding. She sure knows what she is doing and saved me from stressing out.
I was very AMAZED on my wedding day by the outcome of her work. She even delivered the flowers in person and set up everything to our specifications. Totally did a GREAT JOB!!! All the flowers arrangement came out very beautiful at my ceremony and reception. Over all, everything was very modern look and the flowers are very FRESH!!! My bouquets actually lasted the whole day without falling apart from all the brushing and banging. Very impressed!
She really worked to come within our budget and she will make it beautiful. I would highly recommend Petals by Cary for anyone planning a wedding or just looking for that perfect bouquet.

On a last minute panic, I phoned Cary for an arrangement for me boss’s dinner party. Not only was it on her day off, it was also not a significant enough order. Cary was so efficient and kind that she not only sent me a sample photo of the freshly arranged product in less than 30mins, she also met me out of business hours so that I could have the arrangements fresh in time for the dinner.
Everyone loved the flowers especially my boss!
A lot of people asked for the florist that made the flowers that night, so I expect Cary to be busy for a long while.

I recently bought a bouquet of roses wrapped in champagne from Petals by Cary for my girlfriend and they looked amazing. My girlfriend is usually picky about flowers, but she loved them and is deciding to hang them up to dry.
I would definitely recommend this place if you’re planning on buying flowers for a loved one, or you can just stop by and take a glance at all the nice arrangements. Cary is very friendly and would be more than welcome to help out.

I gave her some ideas of what kinds of floral decoration I like for my wedding & she made floral works a lot prettier than I could have wanted! I wanted decoration for my gift table & cake table also, but I did not know what exactly I wanted. Cary helped me out & decorated the tables matching my wedding theme so well.
