Ordered on the phone; got the frame color wrong. May be my own fault by mistaken the frame color with «screen color» over the phone, not sure.

Easy to work with, they came out, measured, came back out a week later and installed. No hassle, no fuss. Everything lined up perfectly. 6 differently-​sized screen windows + sliding screen door. Advised against going with a screen door I got from home depot (which, after reading review for it, was glad to have returned). Honest, friendly, professional. Nicely done.

Wonderful service. I dropped off my screens to be replaced on a Thursday afternoon and they told me to come back to pick them up on Monday. The guy at the counter was extremely helpful and very nice. Prices were extremely reasonable. Picked up our brand new screens and they look great. Highly recommend this place.

Martin’s screen shop was wonderful to work with. They easily fixed a problem that had annoyed me for 3 years! They were friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them for your screen needs. Also, Mark went above and beyond when I asked him to clean our skylight while he was on the roof since it’s not every day I climb up there. Got 7 screens to replace old ratchet ones from my house (including one that was stolen by birds). The guys got them done quick and easy at a reasonable price, and they all fit and look great. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

We had a wonderful experience with Martin Screen Shop! We needed custom screen doors to match the French doors on our late 1940’s home. We received an estimate for the work and a date to take the doors’ measurements. Mark sent an email to confirm the day and time, and also called on measurement-​day as a reminder of his arrival. Mark was very friendly, and worked quickly and efficiently. In the promised time, we were contacted by email that our beautiful handcrafted screen doors were ready. Mark sent an email with a proposed installation day and time, and also called on installation-​day to confirm his arrival. Mark and his assistant arrived on-​time and carefully installed the new screen doors. The screen doors look great, and we couldn’t be happier!

Customer service is excellent. I ordered a replacement screen for a bathroom window. It needed adjustment and they reworked it to perfection. Price was very reasonable. Great place. I will go here for all my screen needs in the future.

I needed a screen for my patio that had a dog door built into it so my dogs could easily go in & out without letting the bugs in with them.
Mark took my screen & replaced it with a dog proof screen so it wouldn’t be as easily destroyed when one dog scratches at it. He also put in a sturdy magnetic dog door making it easy for my dogs to come & go out as they please.
My dogs love it but I love it more! I don’t have to constantly open my screen when my dogs want to go out or in & it has eliminated the many flies that came in when I was leaving the screen open a crack.
I’m very satisfied with the quality & the willingness to go above & beyond for my screen door. If you have dogs I highly recommend this. Thank you so much Mark!

Recently I wanted to add a dog door to my patio screen door. I looked at Lowes and Home Depot but was not impressed with what they had to offer, not to mention, they were almost $ 400. I stopped by Martin Screen Shop after reading several positive Unilocal reviews. Nick and his crew took my existing door, modified it, added a really high end dog door and had it all done in less than a week at around $ 200!

Another great experience with Mark at Martin Screens. This time he added a wood screen door– which I wish we did years ago! It is beautiful quality, he matched our hardware, and it adds the perfect cross breeze in the house.
He also replaced 10 pull down screens which had seen their day. They are great quality also.
He is courteous, gets back to you quickly, shows up on time and cleans up everything!
I’m also having him do a dog screen for my daughter’s patio door. I’ll keep using them again and again. Highly recommend!

We recently rescued a German Shepherd who decided to get into the house while we were out by breaking in through the screen door — leaving us with virtually just about half a screened door. Naturally this happened over the weekend so I called and left a message with Martin Screen Shop letting them know our dilemma and requesting they contact me Monday morning so we could make arrangements to have them come out, look at the damage and let us know how much it would cost to replace the door. By noon on Monday when I had no phone call back I called them and let them know I had left a message and was following up because I hadn’t heard back from them. Whoever I spoke to didn’t even bother to reply — no apology, no excuse, there was just an awkward silence. So I filled in the silence by asking when it might be they could come by to look at the door. He said they were busy all that week already and couldn’t come by until the next week at the earliest. I must say I was a bit put off by this and told him they had done several doors for us in the past and they had always been very accommodating. He suggested we bring the screen door in for quicker service. As their hours didn’t fit with our work hours and being able to get the door to them before they closed, I called Peninsula Screen who was more than accommodating and showed up the next day to pick up the screen, at very reasonable prices for the repairs. I’m hoping that my experience with Martin Screen this last go-​around was maybe just catching an employee on a bad day — but I’m more than a little reluctant to recommend them as highly as I did in my prior review, which saddens me as I love nothing more than a family-​run business.

This shop truly embraces the Madison Avenue concept of small business owner goodness. The brothers, who have owned this store for years, treat their customers like gold. They are quick, do great work, are moderately priced and make the whole issue of screen repair, painless
For years (can you say deferred maintenance) I’ve let the extended bug family, small ones, have fun entering my home through little tears in some screens. They were not so bothersome really, but not invited. I decided I had to shut the operation down.

Mark, one of the brothers, came out, took measurements and after a few fun exchange of pleasantries, took my imperfect screens and left. Days later, he came back and installed them all. It was too easy. It really just highlighted that doing most small repairs on your house is seldom this easy. I wish they would open up a plumbing, electrical, general contractor, small and large appliances, Verizon, PG and E auxiliary offices as well.

Nice folks here. I showed up with a sample of my unprocessed quinoa harvest (you can’t make this stuff up) looking for the right size mesh so I can easily separate out the «chaff.»
They have a box in the back with a whole variety of screen sizes that they can order and have in pretty quickly, everything from ½″ per square on down. So the guy went through the box, found the sizes for me to try, and then made a call to get specific pricing from his supplier.
My request is well (well!) outside of what they normally do, but they took in stride and were very friendly. Much appreciated. Also they have a very cool old school (model T era?) logo’d car out front that looks like it still runs.

Called to inquire about a retractable screen door for my home in SF. Told the gentleman that answered the phone that I wanted them ASAP in SF. He said he «could help me with that.»
Then asked for my name and number. I asked when he thought he would be getting back to me and he said he had NO IDEA when he would be up in SF. I asked if it could take weeks or months and he replied «yes.»
So much for ASAP
They seem to have an attitude that if they do not need the work that minute that they do not care about the business.
