A friend referred me to Tiffany to do my hair and make up for my wedding. I let her «have her way with me» as you will, told her to do whatever she wanted. OMG, is she fabulous! I have never felt so gorgeous. My hair was styled in a way I never thought would look good on me, and it looked so perfect with my dress. She is truly passionate about what she does and her prices are very reasonable. You must check her out! The owners are very friendly, and the shop is adorable. They even sell local artist goods, and I was able to purchase an adorable onesie for my grandson.

Lewis & Co have been my go to barber since I moved here 2 years ago. Not only does Gerry clean cut a style to your taste but the whole crew are like family and it’s definitely a bonus to be with such warm and genuine people. Not to mention Tiffany turning girls into princesses through her hair and makeup transformations. Just an all round leader in the hairdresser game. Thank you all.

Gotta say I agree with with John’s 1-​star review. I came here based on Unilocal review + I love to support locally owned businesses.
I didn’t have a reservation and Lewis was very accommodating fitting me in before an appointment. Maybe he was in a rush bc he knew he had another appointment but my haircut was pretty bad. I asked for a 2 on the sides faded up while leading the top a little bit longer.
He spent maybe 10 – 15 minutes or so do a quick clipper job along the sides while taking just a tiny bit off the top. It looked decent enough at the barbershop but when I actually examined my hair back at home I noticed how messed up it was. The left side of my hair was fairly evenly faded while on the other side there was a very distinct line like he hadn’t taken the time to properly fade the hair.
I went back to my standard barber about two weeks later (I normally wait a month) and even after it had grown out he could point out all the mistakes. Two weeks after the initial haircut it was still extremely obvious that one side was faded while the other had a clear line in the middle.
To Lewis’s credit he initially told me if I got home and didn’t love it he’d touch it up for free and that I could come back in a couple weeks and he would clean it up. Of course my thinking is that if a barber messes my hair up, I’ll probably never return to have them fix it…
I hate to leave a negative review because both of the owners are super nice and I’m sure they do a great job with womens cuts/​longer hair but if you are looking for a good fade I’d probably find a different spot.

I just came here for the first time, and was SO pleased! Tiffany did a fabulous job on my highlights and cut, and finished with the most gorgeous straightener-​curls I’ve ever seen. She talked me through what she was doing the whole time, and it was obvious she is well trained in hair cut/​color techniques, is professional, and passionate about what she does. Would recommend Tiffany without hesitation! The owners, Jamie and Gerry, we’re so friendly and welcoming. It really feels like one big family here! Please check them out!

I’m usually quite relaxed with my hair, and it’s hard to really screw it up. I came to Lewis based on the very positive Unilocal’s reviews and the fact that it’s local in San Carlos. Lewis is very warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. However when I went home and looked at the mirror, I realized that the hair cut itself was unfortunately very poor. The least of which was that the sides were not even parallel. I appreciate friendly barbers, but unfortunately would not return to give my business to this place.

I read Tiffany’s Unilocal reviews and decided to test her out as a replacement for the San Francisco stylist that I was devoted to. I never looked back. Tiffany does a great cut, awesome color, and she’s kind, personable and fun. My second haircut, I had to bring my daughter and the whole salon was very accommodating. Tiffany has cut and colored my hair for almost a year, now cuts my husband’s hair along with two happy friends, and she just did my 4 year old daughter’s first haircut. Jamie and Gerry, the owners, are also very personable and have a lot of happy customers. The jewelry, makeup and clothing is an added bonus. This is a wonderful place to visit.

I came to Lewis & Co. on a complete leap of faith. I wanted to get a hair straightening treatment done, and I saw a post from Lewis & Co. on Facebook that they offered this service. I made an appointment to get an estimate from Tiffany and up until the day of my treatment I was nervous! My original estimate made me really freaked out that the cost may be a little more than I wanted to spend… On the day of my treatment, Tiffany walked me through every single step of the process and answered all of my questions. I’ve never had any sort of treatment on my hair so I was very nervous that it could go bad. However, the team was warm and welcoming. You can feel a good vibe walking into the place. Its obvious everyone supports each other and treats everyone with respect.
As a result, the treatment was shorter than expected, the cost was less than expected, and my hair looks better than I could have imagined.
I would have absolutely no problem recommending this salon and Tiffany!

Lewis & co has been my go to barber for a year. Always a great haircut, reasonably priced and jerry is very friendly, remembers you and is very customer service oriented. Highly recommended.

Jamie and Gerry are just great people. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. It’s always like coming to see friends with the added benefit of getting a great haircut. Granted Gerry has to cut less hair than he used to… I’ve changed styles over the years, and they always make me look good. The prices are very reasonable too. They are really talented and care about their clients.

I started coming to Lewis &Co because my favorite Hairdresser Tiffany moved here. I love Tiffany and would basically follow her to any salon. Lewis& Co is really cute, I love how they sell great accessories. Tiffany is amazing to work with — her prices are really reasonable and she does the best work helping me maintain my blonde hair. I have recommended Tiffany to other friends who have loved her work as well!

I went to see Gerry at Lewis & co to get a haircut for my upcoming wedding. Often times when I get my haircut, I end up wearing a hat for the first couple weeks, waiting for it to grow out oa bit Not this time! Gerry did an awesome job, and I will be back!

I followed my stylist Tiffany here and what a nice place! Gerry and Jamie are so nice and the place feel bright and cheery — with very cool jewelry and candles etc. I can definitely see why there are some life long clients!!!

Gerry has been cutting my hair since I was in high school. He is great at what he does and I I always feel confident that I will look my best after he is done.
I have tried a few hair styles with Gerry over the past ten years and Gerry is great at listening to what you want and delivering. He also has good insights as to what will work or not work with your particular hair.
He and his wife also offer great conversation and are happy to share a wealth of knowledge about local restaurants, shops, and entertainment.

Gerry and Jamie have been cutting and styling my families hair for the last 30+ years. I’ve only had my haircut a handful of times by somebody else in 27 years. Even while away at college, I would always schedule a haircut with Gerry when I was home for breaks or the holidays. Currently I live in San Francisco, and still only get my hair cut by Gerry. It’s well worth the drive. Gerry does a great job every time, and its always nice to see all the different products and gifts they keep in stock. The shop has gone through a lot of changes over the years, and the recent renovations to Lewis & Co. are amazing. The shop is modern, welcoming and always kept exceptionally clean. Gerry cuts my dad and brother’s hair, while my Mom goes to Jamie. Can’t go wrong with anyone at Lewis & Co.

I have been having my hair cut by Gerry Lewis for 25 years. What I really like about Gerry is that he always cuts my hair the way I ask him to cut it. He’s also given me some great suggestions on «cuts» over the years that have always been great! His prices are very fair, and his shop is very comfortable and easy to get to. (easy and free parking behind the shop. Jamie and Gerry have worked hard over the years to build a fantastic local business. I would highly recommend Lewis and Company.

I’ve known Gerry & Jamie for a few years now… both wonderful, kind people. Gerry has been doing my hair since we were introduced. The Salon is clean and comfortable and relaxing. And did I mention, I like the way Gerry styles my hair!
