Kindercourt School System

This a great school! My daughter loves to go and they have a solid program.
There are many children enrolled but the staff manages that very well with their large space.

My (now almost 3yo) daughter has been at Kindercourt since she was three months old — they are amazing. The entire staff is incredibly caring and it’s no surprise they are a top-​rated school year after year. Their curriculum is excellent and widely varied, and she absolutely adores her teachers. A previous reviewer mentioned the summer program; they actually have all kinds of activities going on year-​round. Just a few examples from recent weeks; they had a Disney week which included a dress-​up day and a visit from Cinderella, and camping week, complete with a tent and s’mores. They do a ton of family events (annual Elmo’s Luau, Mommy&Me Tea Party and Puppet show) too, which are great opportunities to get to know the staff and fellow parents. They even have some philanthropic-​type activities (food bank, etc) which are great opportunities to teach kids about helping others.
In her own words — me: «What do you like about your school?» she says: «All of it!» She loves her teachers and, as excited as she is for Mommy or Daddy to pick her up, she hates to leave at the end of the day!

Just from the perspective of their Young 5’s kindergarten program, I have come to be really impressed. Initially, I though they were just a bunch of Kinder-​Nazis with their precision timed schedules for being in one room or another, lunch, snack time or out in the play ground. At 10:48, they must be working on their dairies. If its 3:17, they must be in the back room for story time. If its 4:02, they must be out on the benches eating a snack. From day one, they started going through the alphabet and cranked out little books the kids decorated for sight words and simple stories.
Underneath all this efficiency is a caring and nurturing attitude by the staff. The kids are comforted and secure knowing the program and the daily rhythm. Along the way, they do a ton of fun crafts around the seasons and holidays which all have some sort of educational objective buried down deep such as writing and fine motor skills.
Early 5’s is for kids born August to December who might not quite be ready for public kindergarten. California is one of the few states that has such late cut off. Most other places have a cut off of early September.
We know our daughter will be absolutely ready to jump in to the mix at the local public school’s first grade by next fall.

Amazing school that my son has been at for 2 years. My other 2 will go there as well. Every single teacher there is amazing! Summer program is the best with activities every day such as clowns, magicians, pony rides, petting zoos, jumpy houses, Whale Bus, Bug Mobile, musicians, etc… Every morning, my son grabs his lunch box, straps himself in his car seat, and waits for me to get in the car to take him to school. He can’t wait to get there and he never wants to leave.
Positives: Rated #1 by Bay Area Parents Magazine 9 years in a row.
Negatives: Parking can suck, really long waiting list, pretty pricey.
