Business Owner

Robert Harrison is a certified Master Hypnotherapist & Trainer, as well as a and Master Practitioner & Trainer of Neuro-​Linguistic Programming. His studies in the field of Neuro Linguistics and Hynotherapy began at the NLP Institute of California under the former ownership of Tom Dotz who now owns NLP of Colorado the oldest and most revered NLP Training school in the world. Most certifications Robert took 2 – 3 times as an employee of the company. Hypnotherapy training includes greats such as Stephen Gilligan, Micheal Watson, and Scott McFall.

Prior to starting professional work as a Professional Coach and Hypnotherapy Clinic in 2002 under the name Leapahead Coaching, the director, Robert Harrison worked for 10 years in the mental health field as a Case Manager and Dual Diagnosis Specialist. Robert is a graduate of University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland.

Robert Harrison is an exceptionally talented practitioner of neurolinguistics, hypnosis, and coaching. He’s extremely perceptive, and has the ability to quickly identify key issues and focus on what’s really important. I’ve worked with other hypnotists and Robert really stands above the field. He gets results — and his practice is based almost entirely on referrals and recommendations — because his approach works! $ 695 to stop smoking? I thought it was a good deal until I realized Robert Harrison does’nt even do anything… you get put into a room with a headphone on and listen to cds!!! Its an absolute rip off… I could have done that myself at home! I would not recommend this guy, please, save your money or find a proper Hypnotist! Oh, by the way, it did not help me in any way to stop smoking and I had such high hopes after reading his websites reviews?

I tried all forms of smoking cessation programs (pills, patches, gum, other hypnotherapy, etc) and nothing helped alleviate the psychological aspects of quitting smoking. I went to Bay Area Hypnosis with very little expectations that it would work because I had tried numerous times to quit with no success. However, I was desperate to stop this disgusting habit of 20+ years. It took a couple months for the hypnosis sessions and follow up activities to sink in — let’s just say I can be quite stubborn! Robert was instrumental with his guidance and tenacious with different approaches to connect my subconscious with my conscious thought. I am finally smoke free and best of all, the urge to smoke is gone. This program is worth every dollar spent — easy to follow, emotionally painless and lifetime guarantee of support.

After some consideration I am rescinding my previous review of The Bay Area Hypnosis Center dated 3÷25÷11, and am offering this re-​evaluation. I am doing this of my own volition, for I feel I was a bit hasty in my previous review.
I enrolled in the Bay Area Hypnosis center’s Weight Loss Program in November 2010. After about two months, the center’s founder and hypnotherapist, Robert Harrison and myself, came to understand that my stubborn inability to lose weight was greatly due to my propensity to drink alcohol.
Once we discerned this, Robert changed «programs» for me to one of a drinking cessation program. He did this at NO additional cost to me. He made it clear that he would continue to help me, again, at no additional cost.
After a month, I personally came to the decision that i was not ready to stop drinking (I work as a bartender.) Robert made it clear that when the time came that I was ready to do so, he and the program would be there, ready to work with me.
While I stand by my opinions regarding the weight loss program (that it is, indeed, a lot of hard work), there is nothing you can compare the ethics and genuine compassion of Robert Harrison.

$ 1,700 to lose weight in 30 – 60 days? NO THANK YOU!
After coming in for a consultation and to find out it’s $ 1,700 to lose 20 lbs, I felt really lazy and silly for not trying to lose the weight myself by alternate cheaper routes such as the gym or eating more healthier!
Apparently you get tapes and you have to listen to different tapes each week everyday for like 1 – 2 hours. Supposively after listening to these tapes enough you’ll lose weight. But, again for $ 1,700 good grief!
They do not allow payment plans either. If I knew the price was $ 1,700 I would’ve never came in.
