Another shop told us that our Volkswagen Passat needed a new part and quoted me $ 700. A Friend suggested I take it to Frank’s place for a second opinion. He took a look and told me that it didn’t need that new part at all, something just needed to be tightened. Now both our cars go to Frank:)

I have been going to A&E for over 7 years and there has been some concern about the competency of this shop. It seems that everytime I have taken one of my vehicles in for repair, I have to take it back second or third time for it to be fixed right. On 8÷18÷11, I had a noise that was coming from under my work truck. It took George (owner at A&E) a while to figure what the problem was. In the defense of George, this was hard to detect what the problem was. He determined it was the flex plate, $ 1200.00 later I got my truck back. A week later the problem came back. Brought the truck back and he told me he was totally in the dark what the problem was. George told me the only thing I could do was to drive it until it broke down. 3 mouths later the starter froze up. After I had my truck towed to the closest repair shop and the starter was replaced, it also fixed the noise. George was going to make this up to me, I never felt that this was done. On the same vehicle I had a heater fan switch repaired twice by A&E and it still does not work. I had the air conditioner fix twice on my truck and a C5 Corvette and now the air conditioner stop working again since after 10 months. The problem lies with his mechanic has gotten increasingly rude, everytime I have brought my vehicle back to them and I am tired of being the bad guy here, just because I want my money’s worth.

A friend referred me to Frank at A&E automotive for some work on my Jeep… then another friend also gave me his name. I decided to give it a shot. I called him on the phone and gave him an overview of the work I needed. I then took the Jeep to his shop. I was pleasantly surprised by Frank’s knowledge of all of the workings of my car, and his obvious passion for automotive engineering. He then gave me a quote for all the things I wanted: new brakes, shocks, installation of a limited slip differential; repair of power windows; repair of a/​c; fixing leak; fixing the e-​brake– think there might have been a few more things he did. The price seemed fair, and I agreed. Within a week, Frank had completed all of these repairs. A few items went over-​budget, but not significantly. Having had several bad experiences with auto repair shops, I have to say this is the first time in my life I have ever wanted to give a positive review of any auto shop. Frank is the first one who deserves a positive review, and even more so, he blew my expectations out of the park. Also, you should know that Frank does not advertise or market himself, and has entirely built his business on referrals. All I can say is that he deserves all of these referrals and has won my trust for any future car repairs. Thank you Frank!

A & E does a great job. They have helped me many times with my car woes. Frank is straight forward and answers all my questions — he knows his stuff. Pricing is fair and work is excellent!

They did a routine maintenance on our vehicle that resulted in damage making the car undrivable. When confronted with the damage, Frank refused to pay for the damage. The car was taken to another dealer and repaired. Frank yelled, berated and otherwise verbally abused my wife causing serious emotional distress. If you want to be yelled at, abused, and your vehicle damaged, this is the place to go.

Frank at A & E has always had answers. He has repaired every problem I have had and come in under estimate. He explains everything and makes me feel like respected.

Frank is the best mechanic! He doesn’t take credit cards, but he takes good care of his customers and you know you’re not getting robbed when you leave. I can’t believe I’m the first to review A&E… thought I better get the word out.
