Wow, I am so surprised that there were other people who had just as bad experiences as I did. The one and only time I ever came to this business was 3 years ago and I remember the experience quite vividly because it was THAT bad…
I came to these ladies with a simple task… I wanted invitations printed. About 150 of them to be exact. I designed my invitations myself and all they needed to do was get it printed for me. Simple enough right? Apparently not.
I gave them 3 files to be printed, 150 copies each. They asked for them in pdf format and I gave it to them. I specifically wanted the letters to be embossed. They told me that everything would workout by my sending deadline. And I waited and waited for weeks for them to be ready. And every week they still weren’t ready. I was already stressed out about other party matters and after another week of waiting, they told me that they wouldn’t be ready for another week AND it wasn’t possible to get the letters to be embossed. Seriously? That was the main reason I came to them in the first place. I thought they could get my invitations done, on time, in a professional way. But I guess not.
I ended up telling them forget it but I did buy some invitation materials through them. They ended up charging me an arm and a leg for those materials and I ended up printing the pieces of my invites at Kinkos. (FYI: Kinkos can get your invites embossed you just need to give them a week to do it. AND they are much more reliable.)
If you want to pay a lot of money to wait and stress about your invitations, then by all means, give them your business. From what I can tell, skimming through other reviews, this place is either hit or miss. I’m assuming the 5 stars are from friends because this place is crappy (in my opinion anyway).

When I went here for the first time, I guess it was a good day for them. They said they had my bridesmaids dresses and could get them in time.
But, they they are difficult to reach for follow up! We even called them while we were IN THEIR STORE and they still don’t pick up! They are closed on hours they are supposed to be open. What’s worse is that even though they measured the girls for their sizes, the dresses were still 2x big!!! and they couldn’t let us exchange the dress. Might as well have bought a new dress with the cost of the alterations! Even businesses close by think they’re a mess…

Making Memories does exactly that, makes great memories. Vicky and Crystal are very welcoming and helpful. My family has done several events with the help of MM, from weddings, baby showers and 50^th birthdays. Our invitations were ALWAYS, on time if not early. They have given us great ideas and quality products every time. Their selection of invitations and favors is endless, a perfect place to find what you are looking for to make your dream day memorable.

Where to I begin!!! Making Memories is an absolutely horrible business and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I had thee worst experience with my wedding invitations, the whole process from start to finish was a disaster. So let me start off by saying that I have used this place before back in 2002 for my college graduation invitations and favors, so I was familiar with the owner Vicky Herriott and had a pleasant experience. Of course when I got engaged I decided to go back and check out what invitations they had. I found the perfect one and told them I would be back with my mom to order and purchase them. I came in on a Sunday since I didn’t need an appointment and started working with Vicky’s daughter Crystal. The store was busy but I was told it doesn’t take that long to do the invite and I had brought all the information that was needed so I thought it would be a painless process but I was so wrong. Crystal was interrupted numerous times while we were doing my invite (mind you I had to stand up at the register with her so she can type everything out on the computer) She answered phones, rang up customers, and had to attend to her screaming baby because she didn’t have a babysitter. Vicky was busy helping someone put together their invitations so the store was complete mess. It took us an hour and half to do them!!! My mom was so livid she didn’t even want to order the invites from there but I insisted that it will be ok. I was told by Crystal I would receive my proof within 4 business days. I didn’t get my proof until 4 weeks later!!! This was after a ton of calls to the store (which they never answer, and when they did, Crystal put me on hold and never came back to the phone) I sent a bunch of e-​mails and they didn’t respond, it wasn’t until my mom showed up to the store to ask them what was going on. Crystal was ordering a special sleeve for me and the invitation didn’t fit in it, so it was stuck in the printing department at the company, but she should HAVE KNOW THAT instead of telling me it would work! She didn’t even call to follow up after 4 business days when my proof didn’t show up! When I got my proof it was completely wrong and not what I wanted. I spent a month waiting for my invitation. Crystal is so unprofessional, I can’t even believe they are able to run that store with the poor customer service they have. You better believe I got my money back. I actually did some research and found that Papyrus carried my invitation and I ordered it from them. I had my proof in 3 business days and it was beautiful. Making Memories is garbage and those women do not belong in the wedding business!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
I recently went here to look for favors for my son’s First Holy Communion. From start to finish it was a DISASTER! I can not believe these people are still in business. They promise one thing and do another. When I went to pick them up, they were not ready. I had to wait in the parking lot for an hour. These people do not follow the business hours that they post. To make a long story short my husband ended up having to go back and pick them up at 7:00 the night before the event. When my guests opened the favor the ribbon was glued to the satin in the box!
Let’s just say it was a N I G H T M A R E!!!
SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF TIME, STRESS AND ENERGY AND GO ELSEWHERE!
Save yourself time and stress and go somewhere else! I wouldn’t reccomend this place to my worst enemy!

Do not go here if you want your event to be stress free!!!
Order extremely late and incorrect. Ordered weeks before the event. Was told would be ready in a week, was told that each week for a month. Falsely friendly and reassuring each time I went in, but confrontational and rude each time I called them out on their constant delays. At one point, the daughter ‘went off’, screaming, ranting and raving, scary! After constant tries, got the order ONE DAY before the event and it was wrong (colors were not as I ordered, but at that point, I was stuck). Very unprofessional and rude.
Hit and miss, if the store is open when stated. No returned messages. Once when I was waiting, the rib place, next to the parking lot said, not to bother to wait (they were already ½ hour late opening) because they knew they weren’t coming in that day. To top if off, while I was waiting, another patron showed up to pick up her order, only to find it was left outside for her at the dumpster in the parking lot (You think I was upset, you should have seen her!)
Try San Bruno Flower Fashions, just a few doors up! Professional and courteous!

If I could give this place a negative star rating I would. Please. Anyone who is wishing to make memories for a certain event. They won’t start here. I ordered a set of invitations and thank you cards and everything else that goes with it and was given a date to pick them up and they weren’t ready. I didn’t get the invites until 2 weeks before my party and was barely given enough time to send them out. I still to this day have not recieved the thank you cards… This place is horrible. The mother daughter combination is a team that does not work at all. Please… For anyone reading this. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!! It is deplorable… Take my word for it!

I love this place.
I went in just for invites and ended up finding some bridemaid’s gifts and these really cute measuring spoons to pass out to the guest. My most surprising find was my VEIL! I had no idea they had veils and it was gorgeous. I am very very happy with this store.

Omg. I dont even kow where to start. This place is a mess! They are incredibly difficult to contact & when you are in their store, those two always looked frazzled. I agree with the other review, they are «friendly» to your face but they are HORRIBLE are getting the job done. H O R R I B L E!!! I would never ever recommend this place to ANYONE!

Though this mother/​daughter pairing are likable, likability doesn’t equate to a good business. They say the right things when you meet them and are very friendly, but when it comes down to business, they do a very poor job. Things are everywhere and they can’t find things themselves. They don’t communicate well with each other and definitely not with the customer. I placed an order and was told it would be available in two weeks. It wasn’t. I was given multiple other dates when it would be available and again it wasn’t available. Eventually I got my items, however it was much later than they told me initially. I had read reviews elsewhere which were not very good, but I like to give people a try. If you can’t find another place that is more reliable to use and you want to go here, please give a huge cushion of time for yourself if you need anything and never expect an order to be ready per the timeline they think they can get it. If you are lucky and able to get what you want, then great, but otherwise, expect problems. I don’t wish stress upon any of you trying to plan your wedding. Good luck.
