«Gymnastics is, without a doubt, one of the most beneficial physical activities children can experience. When the gymnastics program is structured and presented correctly, children realize benefits in the areas of physical fitness, self-esteem, and life skills that can serve them throughout their lives.» — USAG Gymnastics
Gymnastics lessons are not just about becoming a great gymnast, and so many of the benefits to be gained from gymnastics instruction are not actually related to gymnastics skills development at all. These benefits include coordination, balance, agility and flexibility, improved concentration, social skills development, discipline, confidence, self-esteem, courage, good manners, listening skills, and so much more!
Inland Empire Gymnastics Academy offers preschool, recreational and competitive gymnastics, as well as tumbling instruction, for girls and boys ages 18 months to 18 years. IEGA also does amazing birthday parties and field trips, has Open Gym every Friday Night Out from 7:30 to 9:00 PM, and monthly fun-filled Parent’s Night Out events. Call us and set up your tour and FREE trial class today!
Meet the Business Owner
Katie W.
Business Owner
Katie Willis is the owner of Inland Empire Gymnastics Academy. A former elementary school teacher and district administrator with San Bernardino City Unified School District, Katie’s interest in gymnastics developed alongside her oldest daughter Maggie. When Maggie’s gym decided to close its doors, Katie chose to open her own program, rather than drive her daughter, five days a week, to another community for training. Though never a gymnast herself, Katie has come to love the sport of gymnastics and all that it can provide for young people. Katie can often be heard saying «you don’t have to be a competitive gymnast to love gymnastics and get something out of it… gymnastics offers something for everyone!»
Katie’s daughters are both still involved in gymnastics. Her oldest daughter Maggie is a college gymnast at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota and Abby is on the IEGA Women’s Optional Team.
