Highland Ave Lumber & Hardware

I’m currently doing a complete home remodel or a 1950’s home, no improvements have been made on this home since it was built and it’s been difficult to find hardware and certain parts. The guys working in this store were so friendly and helpful. The big box stores I had visited basically told me they don’t carry what I needed and that was it, no further knowledge on the hardware I needed. The guys here knew the history of the item, the rarity of it, ways to get around it and upgrade to newer style hardware. They know their stuff and I walked out of there knowing what I was facing with this project, if I had visited them first I would of saved so much in gas, time and frustration I had gone through visiting so many other places.
It’s not located in the best area but thats forgivable when I’m able to walk in there and get help from someone who actually knows what they’re talking about and not just trained in good BSing to push product. This store is awesome, I’m a fan.
