I went in for a fill and polish change on toes when I first moved to San Antonio. I get acrylic fills on my big toes as well. My fill on my hands were terrible. They were so far from my cuticle that it looked like my fill in, needed a fill in. I chose white shellac. The polish layer was thin. Instead of polishing, letting me go to the UV lught and add another coat, the girl kept painting over the wet polish. There were lines that were very noticable in the polish so I requested another coat of white once it dried for a total of two coats. It still wasn’t that«snow white» color I’ve had before but I just kept quiet. Later that day, I noticed my nail tips were turning brown. I hadn’t touched any dye or had on any jeans that rubbed off on anything. By the next day, they looked so dingy! I ended up having to spend more money the third day going to a competitor’s salon to fix my nails. On to my fill on my big toes… They were so bulky and unnatural looking. There were gashes in the acrylic and were very noticeable through the paint. Needless to say, the other nail shop fixed their errors. Their customer skills and communication skills suck. I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

This used to be my favorite place to go but I don’t think I will be returning anymore. The pedicures and manicures are done quickly, and they are usually not too busy. The staff is friendly enough unless you have an issue. There has been a significant decline in service within the last year. My shellac manicures used to last me three weeks, but they have changed the type that they use and now the shellac lasts about eight days. I tried to talk to the salon co-owner about this but was dismissed. Today, I went in for a basic pedicure and manicure, both were smudged before leaving the salon. At check out, I was overcharged and explained that I had requested a basic pedicure($ 20) and the co– owner said that they used hot towels and that upgraded the pedicure to a «T’s pedicure»($ 25). I have been a long time customer of this salon and was disappointed that they were trying to charge me more that what I requested. I paid for both services and left unhappy. They just lost another longtime customer. There was another frequent customer that also voiced her dissatisfaction with her pedicure while I was there(she had requested short nails on her pedicure and they were not trimmed at all). It’s sad to see the decline in service because it used to be such a great place to go. Very disappointing.

Worst mani-pedi ever. Paid 60.00 for gel mani pedi. Not much time spent on me. My nails usually last a month with a gel mani, it’s only been a week and several of my nails are already chipping away. Don’t waste money here, go somewhere else with a better quality of polish that actually lasts. Nubs salon, never again going there.

Tina is my favorite for mani’s and pedi’s! She takes her time and has great attention to detail. This place was recommended to me and I’ve been coming ever since. Walk-ins are welcomed but I recommend making an appointment.

meh— shellac only lasted about 10 days. other places at least two to three weeks. brand polish used? not too sure. price ok though. thumb nail broke and chipped within 5 days! other places very careful about kind of wrapping the shellac around the edges. also the tray where you place hands looked like it could use a good cleaning, although the lady assured me the instruments themselves were autoclaved — hmmm? location close to home but hard to navigate right now cuz traffic crazy, but if they ever finish 1604 this should greatly improve accessibility!!!

My daughter and I got the shellac manicure today. The manicure was done very well and they are very affordable. Will go back to them again.

There is nothing bad to say about this place except for the selection of colors to choose from. Not that there wasn’t variety but they didn’t have the colors I was looking for. I loved that there wasn’t a wait and she did a good job on my shellac mani.

I come here a lot to get my eye brows waxed. Today I went to treat my daughter to a pedicure is her birthday. The girl who did mine(Tiffany) was awesome. The woman who did my daughters did it so quick it was not enjoyable at all. I asked for her to paint flowers or something on her toes. She didn’t even give my daughter a choice. She just painted some ugly things on her nails. I would have given them 1 star but the girl who did mine was awesome. It was not enjoyable at all for me and my daughter. She was done way before me and just stood their waiting. Probably won’t be back for my eye brows.
