We registered by phone for a summer volleyball league which was supposed to begin early June 2015. We arrived on the start date(half of our team drove clear across town) only to find no sign of a league. We were told to come back in 2 hours as a corporate picnic was happening, and this, according to the person at the front gate was Time Warner Park’s only priority. So, we came back and finally found a clueless staff member walking around, and she had no idea about our league. She finally ascertained that our league had been postponed for 3 weeks! We had wasted our afternoon waiting around for a league that no one had bothered to tell us was cancelled for 3 weeks. Horrible inconvenience! Dismayed, we came back 3 weeks later having had no one from TW Park call or attempt to communicate with us. We played one league game – there were no refs, no reps from the park to guide us, no info whatsoever aside from the security guard at the gate who repeated the fact that, «the director of the park gets upset when league volleyball games are played while a corporate picnic is happening»…yes, there was a corporate picnic happening during this first game. It made us all feel very unwelcome to know that TW Park values company picnics over league players even though each member of each team pays $ 70 each to participate! It’s very disappointing that TW Park doesn’t value your patronage unless you are a part of a corporate picnic. Shouldn’t our payment be valued too? The following week, we arrived to see softball leagues in full swing, only to be told by security guards that volleyball had been cancelled again! Again! No communication from TW Park, which resulted in a huge inconvenience for our whole team! After this huge disappointment, I called the office and spoke to Matt Hanson to inquire about refunds. He said he could only refund half of our whole team’s payments, which I said was unfair because it wasn’t our fault that the league was so poorly organized, plus we never saw or signed off on their policy for giving only half refunds for leagues. I told him my team would decide what we wanted to do & call him back, but he took the upsetting step of removing our team from the league prior to our giving our decision! So in essence, Matt too in the liberty of dropping us from the league and forcing us to accept only ½ of what we paid as a refund! Terribly unethical. Long story short, Matt was was unapologetic, in fact he was rude and when we said«the league has been a joke», he replied, «it has been a joke on both sides.»…in other words, this TW Park staff member actually said we were a joke to him/the park! I could go on, but you get the idea. We will never return here, and I hope you will stay away from this terrible place too.

This is one of those places that enjoys sucking the fun out of sports because sports are SERIOUS. BUSINESS. We had a company picnic here that was for families, not a serious competition. The staff seemed unable to contemplate that people just wanted to play and have fun — not get called for every possible demerit in every possible sport 100% of the time. It was kind of like going to the bowling alley on league night. Strict rules, children and amateurs better go home and play Wii. I get it –there’s a need for this and a place and time for this. If I was running a league competition, I would want to hold it here. But there’s also a place and time for fun and this place isn’t it.

I have been going to Time Warner Cable Park for years. We hosted our 8th grade Cotillion here and I’m 23 now. so it’s been around a while. The place hasn’t changed one bit. Besides changing owners once or twice. They have softball, baseball, volleyball, and kids jungle gym. We pay $ 1.50 admission fee to enter on day we play softball. They have just started checking bags to see if you are bring outside food and drinks in. They have $ 3 Gatorades and $ 13 Pitchers of beer. They have a concession stand with free water. They have fields and nice volleyball courts. Parking is easy.

Softball fields, sand volleyball courts and a picnic area. I don’t have any complaints except the umpires that seem to screw up the calls during my softball games(jk). I have played here for a while now and my experiences have been nothing but positive.

When I searched to Unilocal about Time Warner I was stunned that it’s still under Ancira sports park. I have played at Time warner for some time now. The staff is professional and are great about organizing each season. The umpires seem to have it together most of the time. Although, I don’t know of anyone that has completely agreed with an umps call haha. They are pretty good about policing the leauge during play by watching for hot bats. A hot bat happens when you remove the top and shave the inside making the walls thinner. Thus giving it more pop. But it can also be dangerous if someone is unable to handle a ball hit off a bat like this. The field seems to be well maintained and the beer is reasonably priced. What kept me from giving it a better rating was plain and simple the cost… It cost a pretty penny to play ball here. I usually only play here when my company fronts the money for our team. But if money is not an issue TW is a great choice to play at!
