Texas A & M University

Now that the A&M campus in town is growing, it is a must see! The new buildings are gorgeous, and the whole campus is very technologically advanced. There are quite a few advantages here, like low cost and small classes, along with mostly fantastic professors. There is a lot to learn at this higher institute of learning, located right at the heart of the city’s south side. I am so impressed with the growth occurring, my family is actually planning on purchasing a home in the area to secure our investment now! I can’t wait to see what Texas A&M will bring to San Antonio next!

The tuition cost is lowest in the area, class sizes are small, professors are always available, and the parking availability is fantastic. You could literally park at the door and walk into class in under five minutes. Try that at UTSA. Also, the university is only providing junior, senior and graduate classes right now, so most the students are older. This makes the campus really nice for adult students who don’t want to deal with a bunch of teenagers running around and provides a nice opportunity to meet working professionals in your industry.

Love the small class sizes and the seize of parking

I am getting my master’s degree here currently and I’m happy with the school thus far. The main driving point was that the tuition is cheaper than any university in the city. I go to the Brooks City Base campus which is a few miles away from the main campus and I love that it’s a tiny campus. Parking is always easy to find and my classmates are fantastic. It feels like my program is a bit disorganized so that I don’t really care for, but I appreciate my tuition costs, so that makes up for it some.
My boyfriend actually transferred from UTSA for the smaller campus size and smaller tuition rates and he is so happy that he did. Both he and I don’t really care for the humungous campus feel, so we feel right at home here.

Inexpensive tuition, small class sizes, most majors available make this a win-​win. It’s on the South Side of SA which helps balance out the location of all San Antonio higher education institutions throughout the city. Something for everyone!
I started here when it was starting up in portables on the parking lot of the Palo Alto College library. For my suffering so to speak, I will be receiving a brick with my name and degree when the campus is built a few miles away. It also helps that I only got about $ 5k in student loans that I have paid off 4 years later.

When I was at San Antonio College, there were few options for the last two years of a Bachelor’s degree program. It seemed that UTSA had the monopoly on the market.
One day I was walking through the SAC Loftin Center, I saw that Texas A & M was visiting and that they have a campus in San Antonio. I stopped to chat and met with an English advisor. She was very helpful and after looking at the class sizes and cost, I decided to apply.
They offered me a scholarship and I was in. I will graduate in May 2010 and continue with my Master’s there, as well.
The classes are very small, the parking is extremely easy, and you actually make friends, instead of going to school with 10,000 strangers.
My education at TAMU-​SA has been top notch and I couldn’t have asked for a better education. I hope one day that I am able to give back the way they have given to me. They support my running, my academics, and most importantly, they are a campus geared towards working parents.
TAMUSA loses one star for being so far away from the middle of the city, on the south side.
