I am no longer a resident thank goodness for that. These were the worst apartments I or my fiancé have experienced. Where to start? This place gets ½ Star for the nice pool. That is the only redeeming thing about this complex. However, this summer after the complex had been open a full year, the pool was overrun with people who do not live there and partying late into the night all days of the week. So if you must live here I do not suggest living in the building with these so called «pool views» you will regret it dearly. The complex it poorly laid out, especially the front
the first year the stone gate keypad entry had been backed into twice and the gate was damaged and repaired numerous times. Which means it was basically just open for anyone to come in as they please. Now to the actual apartment. We lived in a 2Bd/​2Ba with a yard on a «corner lot».The yard earned the other ½ star for this review. The apartments are very poorly constructed and the materials are cheap. Our apt had an outlet placed behind the stove making it unusable! A light switch in the living room placed awkwardly in the middle of the wall and on the inside of a closet with French doors opening into the closet (basically you had to go into the closet and close the door to turn on the light!) The pet park is lame and my neighbors told me after they took their dogs they came back covered in fleas! So I imagine they do not spray the property for fleas or ticks. But don’t dare let your pup poop without scooping it up! They will charge you if they find poop on property, through a program called poo prints which DNA tests your dogs poo! They do have lots of doggie bag stations throughout the property. The property also has waking trails and is gated in the front and has keypads to get onto waking areas of property but this is pointless because it is wide open for someone to walk into property from Sonterra Blvd on the side closer to Hardy Oak. The gym is FAR from world class! They have free weights, a few treadmills, stationary bikes and the saddest three weight machines ever.
I’m just getting started… so as if this place isn’t bad enough we have to deal with our apt FLOODING, not once but TWICE in a span of 24hours! I believe they are under new management and it’s no longer under Lincoln properties. But let me tell you they did absolutely nothing to help with the damage caused by the a water pipe bursting and water coming down into our apt through the floor and roof! There response was «That’s what you have renters insurance for» they wanted to leave the carpet that had been soaked in water because there policy only allows new carpet when there is a new lease! As if that carpet was expensive?! My master closet, bath and the kitchen walls had to be cut out about 4 ft high and redone due to all the damage. We were out of our apt for nearly 3 weeks and had to stay in a hotel AT OUR OWN COST and they did not want to prorate our rent. UNBELIEVABLE! They eventually offered us a 3^rd story apt in a different building and away from our 2 car garage. But they would not pay to move us and wanted us to do so at our own cost and most of all at our own inconvenience. The pics will show you exactly what I’m talking about. I’m done for now!

I love living at Sonterra Blue and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment. Management and maintenance are on top of things every time I make a request (and I can be pretty needy). They have dog DNA testing, so dog waste is not nearly as bad as I’ve seen at other apartments. My apartment is gorgeous and just the right size for me. The neighbors I’ve met have been nice, and I feel safe walking my dog after dark. The only tip I would give is to definitely rent a garage or carport space as parking can be scarce. Plus, the covered parking and shorter walk are totally worth the money when you’re heading into work on a rainy morning or carrying in groceries.

I have lived here over a year… the construction has been completed at least that long BUT maintenance here has NEVER airblown the walkways or underneath the stairs leading into the apartments. I laugh when I see them refer to this place as luxury living because anyone seeking luxury is definitely not seeking visions of dirt and grime in the hallways nor are they searching for garbage can views.

ETA: As of 06/​10, I’m no longer a resident at this complex, but really enjoyed living at Sonterra Blue. The staff here are first class act — they are professional, keep their word and work with you if you have to move due to your house not being completed and your lease lapses. This is the situation I was in. Enjoyed living here the last 6 months. The complex is kept clean for both humans and pets.
–I never liked apartments, but was forced into one while building my home. I moved from another complex to here and it is a world of difference. Extremely professional staff, courteous and prompt maintenance service, very tech savvy with using online for payments and paperwork. Thus far, a great place to live and great location. Knowledgeable staff that work hard to keep the grounds pristine clean. Very fast responses to any questions. State of the art fitness equipment.
