Located in San Antonio, TX, Sams Contracting Consulting and Training works to improve the local economy

by helping small businesses to create/​retain jobs, obtain financing, and increase in revenue. Since the company’s inception in 2012, Sams Contracting Consulting and Training has been able to provide exceptional support to over 200 small business clients in a wide variety of capacities, while also capturing a 5 year contract with the City of San Antonio to provide technical assistance to over 10 minority owned contractors in the local area to help them build their capacity.

Business Owner

Mr. Aaron Sams is an Operation Iraqi Freedom/​Operation Enduring Freedom veteran who began his career in the United States Air Force where he served as a contracting officer in charge of acquisitions for commodities, services, and construction related projects. Mr. Sams then transitioned to working at the UTSA Small Business Development Center where he provided 1-​on-​1 counseling services to small businesses, and conducted training seminars geared towards new entrepreneurs and vendors who were interested in doing business with private, local, state, and federal entities. In 2012, he founded Sams Contracting Consulting and Training to further enhance his ability to serve the small business community.
