Rodriguez Tire and Muffler

Great bunch of guys here. Went in with a tire for repair. Wal**** wouldn’t do it and these guys had me in and out in less than ten minutes. No problem with tire since. Staff in office were easy to talk to and up front quoted me a solid number. I’ll be going back to these guys if I ever need any work done.

worst mechanic in san antonio first of all the guy sittin down inside is so rude he speaks fast and has an attitude to repeat himself! my car was in terrible condition when i picked it up it shut down on me when its never never happened before! he told me i needed to get some parts in my car replaced i left to a diffrent place and they tell me i didnt need alot done to get it fix i only needed a couple parts to be replaced and rodriguez told me i needed more then what i was told at the diffrent one and some of what rodriguez told me i needed to get fixed asap i didnt even need to get replace! i was shocked rodriguez lied to me!!! they will lie i knew something was not right try a diffrent place thats why i went to a diffrent mechanic and found out the truth do not come here! they will scam you i wrote this review because nobody deserves to be lied to especially this is a car we rely on for work they want more money $$$$ so they scam you thank goood i went with my gut and didnt leave my car with this horrible mest up people!

Horrible service. Guy sitting at his desk with his feet up was too comfortable to stand up and help us. Instead, he just pointed and made vague suggestions as to what we should do to have a rim put on a lawn mower tire. For example, «uh… I think there’s a dude here over there in the corner, or go look outside maybe. Go ask him.» And «oh, maybe he’s at lunch. Wanna wait?» No thanks, Mr tire man who’s too comfortable playing angry bird in his computer chair. I’ll go to castroville instead.

This place was awesome! I got a flat, needed two new tires bc I was road trippin to Florida. They had me in and out in 15 minutes with a great price.

Needed to replace my catalytic converter and brought it here to Rodriguez Tire and Muffler Shop. I was quoted a very good price for the removal and replacement. They didn’t have to use the aftermarket bolts I purchased, they used their own and even applied a high-​temp silicone gasket to prevent any exhaust leaks. Good Job guys! I’ll definitely bring my car back for any other maintenance.

Great customer service and great price – very professional. I was totally satisfied with everything about this place. A must try if you’re looking for an honest mechanic who won’t try to push you into additional services that you don’t necessarily need. They got me right in and promptly called with updates as to what was wrong with the car and when it would be ready. They also ran other diagnostics on the car and told me how long it would be until I needed other services. In addition, I called to have them perform the state inspection on both of my cars at the last minute, and they had no problem performing that service quickly while I waited. I previously price-​shopped for estimates on the same services, and Rodriguez was about 30−40% cheaper than other big name auto shops. Support your locally owned small businesses!

Just a quick review

Seriously folks although you cannot drive along a 2 mile stretch of Culebra Rd or Commerce St. on the city’s west side without passing 5 tire shops, here on the Northside they are rarely seen. One of the joy’s of these places is stopping in quickly for a tire pressure check and fill for free. Just tip the guy a couple of bucks and be on your way.
And when the time comes to replace your tires you will be amazed at the price you will pay for high quality tires, balanced and installed, that usually will come to half of what you were quoted at Wal-​Mart. Don’t think fancy lobbies and magazines while you wait translates to the best tires for the buck. Remember people we are talking about tires!
