River Walk RV Park

My husband and I were VERY disappointed in this park! It was grossly misrepresented in the advertisement we read. The site they put us in was grassy and horribly uneven. The park looked like many «lived» there and many RV’s were unkempt looking. The hot tub was down, they told us not to use the pool because they had «just put chemicals in (wouldn’t you do that at night?). On the up side the office girls were very sweet and helpful in every way… but I certainly would never recommend this park unless vast improvements are made!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. The sites are fairly level and required minimal adjustments from our hydraulic levelers. Very dog friendly but no dedicated dog area. They are apparently working on various upgrades, so some sites are better than others when it comes to power and cable TV options. Also some sites are closer together in certain sections. The pool was closed for the season but it looked well maintained. The showers are in separated rooms with a sink and toilet. They supply them with quality toilet paper you’d use at home, which is a surprisingly nice touch. Wi-​Fi is actually good enough for video streaming, sometimes. It usually gets too slow to do so in the evenings. The Wi-​Fi works better on larger devices like laptops and tablets, but it was hard to keep a signal on our smartphones. We stayed here for two weeks and would definitely come back once all their upgrades are complete.

We stayed at the Riverwalk RV Park for 4 nights while visiting friends. We made our reservation at the last minute and we’re happy to get a full hookup pull thru site for our 35 foot fifth wheel. This is an older park and apparently under new ownership. The gals in the office were very friendly. Summer escorted us to our site and spent a lot of time with us, making sure everything was ok. Our site was close to a busy highway and the traffic noise was very loud all night, but of course this was not the fault of the management. The restrooms were old and in need of upgrading, but they were very clean. They have a pool which we did not use but it seemed to be in good condition. The location was not far from the Alamo and the Riverwalk, two of the attractions that were on our list to see. My only complaint is we were charged for a site that had cable and our site did not have it. I’m sure this was an oversize on their part and I have notified them. All in all we enjoyed our stay here.
