Pump It Up

I’m going to have to give this place 2 stars only. First impressions are important! We recently moved to the area, and saw this place announced on a website saying there was a buy one get one free open play, so we decided to check it out. The woman at the front desk pretended she didn’t know what I was talking about, and when I showed her the add, she gave me an attitude. Then she didn’t want to take my credit card, but she ended up taking it because they do take credit cards. She was rude and condescending, and for that I should get it only one star, but I’m being generous because my 6 and 8 year old had fun after all. However, the price is too high for the amount and quality of the inflatables in there, and for only one and a half hour of play. We are not going back. If the lady at the front desk had been nicer and helpful we would probably consider spending that amount of $ again. I’ll take my kids to other fun places for that $.

In a city where the average summer temperature is 98 F, I appreciate any indoor air conditioned play venue for young children. I recently purchased a Groupon pass for multiple visits during the ‘open play’ time slots and its been a great investment. Open play is usually limited to weekday time slots and there is an online calendar to let you know what kind of events are going on that day, usually themed jumps like glow jump, superhero, etc. Upon arrival participants watch a brief instructional video and are led to the first of two jump rooms. Of course most of the activities are limited to jumpy sets but for little little ones (or the less adventurous) there is a small play area made up of large building blocks and little tykes rocking animals. The areas are carpeted, well lit, and adequately maintained. The bouncers have seen better days but still have enough pluck in them that your kids will still have fun. I have come here several times and I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. The restrooms are clean but are unattractive in an old strip mall way and my only real criticism is that they do not have kid sized toilets or a stepper for the wash sinks. Another negative although I am unsure if it can be helped is the noise. The bouncers use air pumps that of course keep them inflated however in an enclosed room where there is also music playing, is a little much. To their credit the staff will lower the music if asked. Overall the little one has fun and its a great way to avoid the heat and the bugs of summer.

1^st time here, we didn’t know about the 90 minute windows and they were also closing in 35 minutes but I still wanted my kids to go. They had a blast and were only in one room! I didn’t even know there was a whole other room, we will definitely coming back maybe for even 2 hours and yes I’ll pay the extra $ lol. So worth it and it’s «safe» having 1 kid at a time! That was nice, love it thankyou for being nice and clean and fun!

We had our sons’ 7^th birthday party today and it was great! Very expensive but for a busy mom with five kiddos Pump It Up made this party STRESS FREE! The hosts were nice and the party was well organized.

I took my daughter for a party. Happy to say I personally didn’t have to pay for this. Many of the inflatables were patched with clear packing tape. Several items damaged and still left around the area. Employees were easily irritated if the kids didn’t move from one area to the next quickly enough. The place looks like it used to be nice, but really now needs a lot of work.

I enjoy pump it up for free play and parties. My kids get to have a great time and parents can jump too :) which makes it an even better time! Birthdays are super organized and chaperoned by staff so us mothers can really relax and party too! It’s worth it.

When it’s hot outside, this is a fun place to play. The kids can jump on several inflatables in two huge rooms. It’s a little pricey to go very often, but once in a while it’s a fun outing.

I wasn’t expecting much after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The 2 play areas we were in were very clean, and had a particularly helpful attendant who was helping and actually playing with the kids.
My three 3 year olds, and 2 year old had a great time. Thanks.

Pump It Up now allows open play, not just birthday parties. It’s $ 7 per child, and socks are required. This is a great place to let kids run around and burn off energy if it is too hot or raining outside. I would recommend going early for the little kiddos, by noon the place is already getting more packed and the decibel level rises considerably. There are attendants that roam around to enforce rules, but I wouldn’t really rely on that. The rooms have huge inflatable slides, but there is also a smaller inflatable obstacle course. It would be nice if they sectioned at least one of the inflatables for 5 years and younger or something like that. Big kids have run of everything and it can scare off the little kids. There is also a section with Imagination Playground and that is a huge hit! (I wish I could fit a set of those in my house!) I haven’t booked a party here, so not sure how service is with that, but for open play it’s a cheap fun option.

Went here for my friend’s daughter’s 5^th birthday party. Concept looks simple and fun — bouncy inflatable things to climb and play on, just add kids, pizza, and cake. They have a bunch of high school kids running the show, so you can’t really count on them to be loud enough or firm enough with directions or supervision for the kids.
The worst part was when the time was up, the time was up! The «birthday princess» blowup chair the little birthday girl got to sit on literally deflated in front of us when time was up! Luckily someone saw and caught the food that was sitting on the chair’s armrest in time!
Regardless, kids are kids and they all seemed to have a good time!

Great for kids, awful for adults! This place could be so much better if it were more convenient. My kids have attended lots of parties here and we had one of their parties here. The place is clean and generally organized and well run. The rooms with the inflatables are very loud and the inflatables are older and fairly worn out. The kids love it despite this so maybe it is not all bad!

Customer service stinks — but we are planning a birthday party here nonetheless because this is what the kids want. I hope by the time the birthday rolls around, they get a little better at serving the customers. We haven’t been here in 4 years, and had a previous party here and I vaguely remember the same experience. The party was a hit with the kids, but the workers were clueless!

I’m a huge fan of this franchise but I would pass on this location. The staff was annoying and were constantly playing grab ass. I understand it’s run by highschoolers but where is the management?

Pump It Up is probably named for its two rooms filled with inflatable bouncing playground s. The kids and I have been here several times and it has always worn them out tremendously.
You can ride the slide, go through the jungle gym, play boxing, or shoot hoops, all while bouncing around the room. Even adults can take breath and go play because for every group that enters the room, there are at least two attendants that call children out on misbehavior.
The down side: #1 Star removal comes because this is strictly a birthday party place. You bounce for an hour and then you go into a room with a King/​Queen chair and eat cake and pizza.
#2 Star removal — As birthday parties go, I believe it is a bit too costly and too rushed.
I wish upon a star that Pump It Up would open its doors to the public on certain days and charge $ 5 a head. Until then, I will probably just stick with an inflatable delivered to my home.
