This is a member of the Golden Bingo Family group which owns a number of places around San Antonio. This is one of their afternoon locations, games start at 3:30pm(closed Saturdays). They’re a bit more expensive than the Bandera Late Night bingo and Ingram Park bingo($ 6 for computers here), but it’s much more laid back. It’s not an updated facility; some of the lights on their board are out, the tvs are old tube tvs, and the tables and chairs look like they’re from the 80’s, but it’s what you’d think of when you think of a bingo hall. The clientele is older and the bingo caller takes this into account so she goes at a nice pace. The ushers don’t try to push their pull tabs and the people here aren’t psychotically throwing away their money, feverishly buying as many as they can.(That’s probably why the computers are more expensive to make up for people not spending as much). The usher who helped me was also really friendly when I asked him to explain things to me. He took his time and gave me his full attention and even offered to come back and help me if I needed it. Sure it’s not particularly nice looking but because of the laid back atmosphere I’d choose this over the other locations.
