Neva Face & Body Midtown

While I was visiting San Antonio, I came across NEVA when I was looking for a spa. I gave it 5 stars because 1) their massage service (I got the relaxation massage) was impeccable in my opinion. My masseuse was Monica and I highly recommend her. I have acute pain in between my right shoulder blade and spine and she loosened them up and made it feel a whole lot better. She focused on it a little more and I’m very happy about that but also didn’t forget about the rest of my body. 2) the place was clean and neat. 3) ambiance was great, music wasn’t too loud and their aromatic scents were soothing and not overbearing. 4) I like how they have daily deals as well so check out their website for more specifics. My massage was normally priced for $ 60 but on Wednesdays it was $ 49. I thought it was a great bang for your buck! If I lived here I would go here frequently.

Today was my first time getting a massage and I’ve got to say that I loved it here. This is the place I’ll be coming to any time I want a massage for me or my girlfriend. The people here were very nice and offered us tea before the massage and a water after.
The massage itself was amazing and relaxing. I got the relaxation massage from Nadia who did a great job and made me feel at ease since she knew I was very nervous.
You do have to take everything off except your underwear/​briefs which is understandable. They give you a few minutes to get undressed and under the covers. The atmosphere of the room was very calm. The room had dim lights, warm but not hot and soft music in the background. The employees here do their very best to help you feel comfortable and relaxed.
After the massage was done, I paid and chatted a bit with whom I believe was the receptionist. They then informed me of the specials they have throughout the week which I appreciated and will take advantage of it next time.
Overall the experience I had here was great, I didn’t find any problems during my visit here and would recommend to anybody wanting a massage or just want to get a massage for the first time.

I have been coming here for a couple of months now and I have had nothing but great experiences each time! I have always been very satisfied with their services. I have gotten their signature facial and oxygen facial and both have made significant improvements on my skin! I absolutely recommend this place and I can’t wait to try more of their services!

Had an odd and disappointing experience. We are new to town, and I purchased my husband a deluxe 75-​minute facial as a gift. He gets near Neva and all the roads are closed around the business, so he has to call to find his way in, and is a few minutes late accordingly. The technician then also ended his service 10 minutes early without explanation, so with his being delayed by the roadwork and the tech’s additional unexplained shortening of the service, he got a 55-​minute facial instead of a 75-​minute facial.
I shot Neva a friendly email just alerting them to what happened and got one back that said they didn’t know the road was going to close so that wasn’t their fault, and they were glad that he enjoyed the time he did get. They said they’d put a 20% credit on his account for a future service. I responded that I wasn’t sure, but did they notice in my original email that the tech ended the service early?, and that this was a gift facial so I wasn’t sure about the credit to him when he doesn’t buy himself services to be truly responsive.
I received a call from a rather perturbed owner, who wanted to make it clear that she was in the right, in all ways, throughout all time, and she found my reply to be offensive. I was nice and said oh, I just replied because you had addressed the street closures but didn’t mention the early ending of the service so I thought maybe you didn’t see that part? She said, «Well, I wrote, ‘I am glad he enjoyed the time that he DID get.’ That’s addressing that.» I said, Oh… okay… yeah, I didn’t catch the explanation or apology for the service ending early. She said things like, «Yeah, well, I’m sorry you didn’t catch that.»
I don’t always keep it together and super friendly when complaining, but I did in this instance. So Neva’s response felt a bit Kafkaesque. My husband did enjoy the 55 minute facial, it is just disappointing that he didn’t receive the allotted time, that the tech decided to end the service 10 minutes early even though he was already 10 minutes late due to their road closure, and the response to my bringing this to their attention was not what I was expecting given the Unilocal ratings on Neva, and the prices of services at this salon.

My go to place for facials. I’ve never had a massage here so I can’t comment on that but the facials are always so calming and make my skin look great. The staff who works here is so kind and understanding. They have accommodated me several times without making me feel like I was a bother. I’ve really notice my skin look better and my pores smaller. I get a facial about once every 4 – 5 weeks. They are not pushy about their products which I like and I’ve actually have bought some products because i like the way they make my face feel and look. Definitely try them out if you’re looking for a relaxing treatment.

Absolutely adore this place! Super sweet and friendly and peaceful place. I’ve had a few massages before but decided to get my first pregnancy massage here and loved it! And for your birthday you get an amazing special coupon emailed to ya! ;)

First off, it was a little confusing to find the place and I wasn’t really sure where to park because all the spots around the building say tow zone «Ridgemont parking». I wasn’t sure if this building was called Ridgemont but the last thing I wanted was to leave a relaxing day by walking home. Anyway, I parked on the curb and walked across. That’s all the bad news. I work in a salon and can say from start to end, this EXPERIENCE was delightful. The owner was friendly, the building was tranquil from the moment I walked in, and the prenatal massage was amazing (I’m terrible with names but I think Monica was my massage therapist). She was very attentive to my areas of concern, she told me step by step what she would do (it was my first prenatal type of massage), but she was also quiet enough that I could relax. I definitely recommend and will be returning!

Amazing massage and facial today! Nadia was my masseuse and Sunny did my facial. I got the relaxation massage and the oxidation facial. I recommend this place to anyone and will make this my annual massage location when we come to San Antonio. I feel relaxed and new, which is exactly what I needed after a long year. Thank you!

Reading the great reviews, I had high expectations, however when I arrived for a facial I came across dirty sheets and towels with holes in them! Gross! And come on, I would never keep a towel in my house that had a hole in it and paying$ 79 for a 45 minute facial, I kind of expect to be treated with something that didn’t belong in the trash. When I asked the girl if she would mind changing the sheets, she was very sweet, however, it took her 15 minutes to find some clean ones and she could not find one towel without a hole in it.

I really love this place! The staff is very accommodating and the treatments are super awesome! I love the specials they have every day. If you’re ever curious about checking a different type of treatment you can always check out a special on any day! I love the signature spa facial, you get a lot of pampering! The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is lovely, the staff is knowledgable! I found my new spa!

First time here, and I had the best massage of my life by Nadia. I came in with pretty some tension and discomfort in my neck and shoulder blade, and she took care of it with the perfect amount of pressure. Her arm, hand, and head portion of the massage was blissful, and I loved the studio itself and the music played. Well worth the price point. Perfect all around. I’ll be back soon!!!

Great experience form start to finish! I was greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in the door. The receptionist was friendly and personable. She offered me water or lavender tea as soon as I sat to fill out the new client paper (The lavender tea is delightful!).
The ambience of this place is perfect for getting you in the chill mindset.
My massage therapist (Monica) was ready for me as soon as I finished up the paperwork. She greeted me with another small cup of tea and a relaxing demeanor.
We went over what I’d like her to focus on and what to avoid. The massage itself was lovely; Monica did an awesome job. She payed attention to what I brought up beforehand and implemented it into her massage (important thing that I haven’t always had in past massage experience). She checked in with me throughout and made sure I was comfortable. She also listened to requests (e.g. Pressure) during the massage and made it happen.
My only regret is I didn’t get the 90 minute massage. Next time!

This is a wonderful, relaxing spa, and I have had 2 facials that I very much enjoyed. I love that it’s not a gigantic chain like Woodhouse — not that they’re so bad, but it’s not as relaxing to me to have to go through all the rigamarole. It’s small, friendly, local, and very reasonable. Victoria was a wonderful esthetician. I’d recommend Neva!

Neva was the perfect stop from San Antonio Airport on my way downtown for a work conference. After a couple flights with a cold, the migraine massage healed and rejuvenated me. The ambiance is relaxing and chic. The staff is so sweet and helpful. Thank you so much!

I got the escape package with scrub, massage, and facial. Everyone was super friendly and nice. I felt comfortable. The massage was wonderful! Donovan has the hands of a god! The only reason I’m not giving this place 5 stars because it was kind of small and not really fancy. But will be going back.

At 27 weeks pregant I was traveling for work and had severe back pain after flying for 6 hours the day before. The ladies were able to move appts around to accommodate me same-​day. I was so grateful!
The prenatal massage was incredible. I don’t recall the name of the woman who did it but she was amazing!!! It was so relaxing and she really eased my back muscles. I was slightly sore the next day and after that the pain disappeared.

Fantastic place!
Booking appointments is easy online, on the phone, or in person. I love things that make my life easy and they do an excellent job.
My first visit was a massage in the first room. You could hear people talking near the room and I didn’t love that but it wasn’t obnoxious. I brought my mom here for a massage after she fell and she was so happy and relaxed when we left. (They let me work in the lobby while I waited for her AND gave me a few excellent food suggestions in the area. I’ve gone to all and loved them.)
I went in for another massage this week at it was perfect. I’ve booked for a monthly massage and a facial — their weekly specials are great and so hard to pass up.
I also love that parking is easy. Love it all.
