Mother’s Window Tint

See, once again you have JOE talking when he has NO idea as to what’s going on. First of all you are telling me to bring screw drivers to remove my panel to inspect somethings that was done after everything is installed??? You are nothing but a lier. I CALLED YOU last night on your cell phone to discuss the matter and you NEVER let me even speak. Your response to cutting me off 3 times was (you have my response to this on the letter I mailed you.) You never you had he gulls to call me like a responsible VP of a company should. You can’t take responsibility for actions made by your employee. You can sure talk a lot through a letter and behind a computer.

Okay after reading reviews and the owner responding, I decided to give this place a chance. I dropped my car off at 1030 spoke with ?? Williams, very pleasant guy who told us we came in at a good time as there was only one car for tint ahead of us. He said it would take an additional hour for that vehicle and 2 ½ hours on mine. Great I thought. 2p, 3p, 4p, I called and they say I’m #13, so I’m pissed and at 5p we go and it’s finally ready. I speak with Williams to inquire about why it took so long. His reasoning was it was just an estimate in time, 4 hours later, are you serious. So, buyers, unless you have a day to WASTE the work is good.

We recently got our ’13 Genesis coupe tinted and unfortunately the back window didn’t really turn out all that good. It had lots of small bubbles and what appeared to be small cuts in the tinting. Aside for being a tight space in the coupe, the back window has a very low profile and is at a very low angle making it a very difficult window to tint. I gave it a couple weeks to set but no deal.
I went back expecting to get some resistance on the quality of tint but Daniel was nothing but professional and asked what he needs to do to «make it right». I told him I’d like the rear window redone and he agreed. The next week I took the car back allowing them all day to fix-​it and the performed! The windows look great!
The 4-​stars is simply because the window had to get done twice. This shop is definately customer service orientated and will go out of their way to make sure the job is done right. I really appreciated the fact Daniel was quality focused wanting to take the time to correct the tinting no matter how long it takes.
Thanks MWT for the superior customer service… a rare quality nowadays.

I came in today to get my Windows tinted on my Sunday wrx, Angel was very professional and very knowledgeable. Overall great work and great experience

I had my new 4-​door sedan tinted here last Saturday. I used them in 2006 for the same thing and was very please with their service. This time I ended up with damage to my new sedan. They had damaged my front right fender and front right wheel. They had it parked in the shade after they called when before they parked my car from 2006 in the sun. Rich also said to park in the direct sunlight for the next week or two. Hmmm, tells me to park in the sun while it is in the shade with the damage. My wife noticed the damage and showed Rich the manager and he said Mother’s well pay for the repair. Today I received a call from Mother’s denying the claim. I have photos and will be going to court to recover the costs for the damage. Do not use this place. Go somewhere else where they will respect your auto and your business.

Quality film that is installed with care. I have had SEVERAL vehicles tinted there since the 1980’s. (yeah, I’m dating myself)
I always get good service and the job is well done using quality film. I’ve never had problems with bubbles or the tint turning purple. If you are looking for quality, this is the place to go.
Just like the other review, they tried to sell me on higher tint but it has gone up considerably since the 2009 Unilocal review. Now they are charging $ 450!!! They have a «middle» grade film that I went with and got a fair price on.
I’ve also never had a problem with my tint passing inpsection — but then again, I have never had the «eyebrow» installed on the front windshield like the other reviewer had.
P. S. — I also want to state that several of my vehicles have the rear defrost built into the window and I have never had a problem with them cutting one of the lines or anything like that.

This review is borne out of frustration more than as a critique over quality of work. My wife had her windows tinted at Mothers this past summer, and the tint has held up great. No bubbles, peeling, etc. However, we failed our vehicle inspection the other day due to the fact that the ‘eyebrow’ (the tint covering the top portion of the windshield) was too low. You would think that a tint business would be able to ensure the work they do falls within the parameters of state law. My wife brought her car back to get the tint repaired… they did it at no cost, however it was done after a 2 and a half hour wait after she was forgotten about. Not a fun way to spend a weekend. They do good work, but I would be hesitant to go back. Word to the wise, make sure the tint you’re getting done is legal, both in location of vehicle and darkness of tint.

Despite the horrible commercials with the girls kinda standing around trying to be sexy, I listened to the one about $ 99 window tint and was looking forward to getting my windows tinted. Upon arrival, the Mother’s employee explained to me that that particular tint was inferior and I should spend $ 220 on a far better tint. The old bait-​and-​switch. There was even a display exhibiting how poor the tint from the commercial was. The more expensive of the two was a far better product (which he made sure to prove during a demonstration) and I was able to talk him down to $ 189. They did a good job, but I did not appreciate ending up spending almost two times what I was expecting.
